Jesus spent much time teaching, discipling, leading His disciples. In Luke 9:2 he sends them out to preach and proclaim the Kingdom of God...Along the way, there were others who decided that they also wanted to be followers of Jesus. Very often, Gospel records Jesus teaching multitudes of people, sometimes they just came to see His miracles...but some actually wanted to follow after Christ. Then what we see in Luke 10 is really what Christians are to do: they are to go out and share the good news with others, love and minister to neighbors, worship God. (Luke 15:10 & 10:1-4)
