After a couple of years of there being no major updates to KCSiE, this years update introduces a number of new specific requirements relating to regulated activities, serious youth violence, AI technology and online harms and children questioning their gender, as well as changes in line with numerous pieces of legislation that came into force this year, so it's more important than ever to catch up on the headlines in time for the new academic year.

NB - Since originally recording this episode at the end of August 2026 the final version of KCSiE was published on the 1st Sept. and included some small additions, which have been included at the end of the original recording.
