Every single Monday, we are uploading a dose of hope in the earth. Yes, we are. What are we talking about today? We're in episode 157, and we're talking about something that's near and dear to me. Two words. Two, one, two, two words. They lied.
unknownOh my God.
SPEAKER_00What are you talking about, Dr. B? They lied. They lied, they lied. And the subtitle of that is that don't let their lies be your truth. Don't let their lies be your truth. But those two words, they lied. It's a very important um uh mantra that I carry. It's something I taught have taught about for many years, and I want to break it down. I want to share it with you because I want you uh to um to overcome anything that you believed that someone said to you, said about you, spoke over you, and you've lived under it and it's affected your life. So the Bible says in Romans 3, 4, it says, let what God says be true, and every man a liar. Break it down, Dacty B, break it down. What does that mean? It means that if someone has said some things about you, you cannot find it in the word of God. That means they lied. They, who is the they that they could be parents, that they can be classmates, that they can be some teacher, that they can be an ex, that they is whoever, plural or singular. Come on, sis, we'll say they, and a lot of times we're talking about one person, so it's really he lied, she lied, and if you came into agreement with those lies, you'll learn today, you lied. They lied. Somebody said years ago, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words were never hurt. True or false? You already know the answer. It's actually a half-truth. It is true. Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can break your spirit. Words can crush, in fact, our spirit, words can crush us. Words have the power to lift up, words have the power to tear down, words can build you, and words can kill you. Words can make you believe that you can fly, and words can make you want to go and hide behind a rock. Words! Words are containers. I want you to understand that about the power of words. I've studied words, spoken words for years, uh, the spirit of words for years, where where words go when we speak them for years. And I just want to share that with you today. I want you to understand that words have the very power to break someone's spirit to the point that you want to people want to commit suicide. Sometimes people want to commit suicide because they've never gotten over something that somebody said uh and they and they it got on the inside of them and affected their level of self-esteem, the level of self-worth, self-worth, the level of worthiness, the level of uh, you know, feeling like they are nobody and all of that. Uh, words, words, words. The Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue. The Bible speaks about the tongue being the smallest member of the body, but yet the most deadliest. It is. We sin more with our mouth than we do any other part of our body, by the way. Yes, think about that. Take that in. So, words have so much power, words are containers. So, when we talk about speaking words, we're talking about being able to know how to handle negative words or deathly words, words that are soul crushing, words that are dream crushing, words that are faith-crush, words that are hope-crushing, words that are self-esteem crushing, words have the power to crush and kill. I've said this for many years. The number one uh uh uh the number one uh uh uh thing that that that we're killed most by is not a gun. The number one uh thing that kills us most of all is a tongue. Uh is a tongue. And the bullets are in the mouth. The bullets that are in the mouth. It's it's important to understand as you listen today, you have the power to take your power back by realizing they lied. They lied. Whoever, I'm gonna break it down more, but I'm setting it up so that you understand that you're not just listening to this. But I want you to get real today. I want you to be real with yourself. What words have you heard that to this day, what phrase, what put down, what criticism, what damaging, soul-crushing statement that somebody says to you? What words have you heard that maybe you heard in childhood, but to this day still affect you, causes uh trigger for you, uh, causes you to shrink, uh, causes you to second-guess yourself, uh, causes you to lack confidence, causes you to feel unworthy, or feel not good enough, or causes you to feel like something uh is wrong with you, or feel like you don't measure? What words have you heard that have caused you to have the insecurity about your looks? Cause you to feel something is wrong with your body? What words? How were you teased? Teased by a family member, teased uh uh uh you know at school. What words have you heard? What words still have been contained and and they've traveled with you? You see, I need for you to understand words are containers. Uh that it's like having a bucket on the inside of you. And when we say words and we receive words, whether they're good or bad, whether they're deathly or full of life, those words go down, if you will, into the bucket of our spirit. And so as you go and as you grow and as you change jobs, those words will tend to go with you. As you change schools, those words go with you. As you go change relationships, I'm helping somebody, those words go with you. So it's important for you to understand that if it's the wrong words, that's like carrying a bucket of poison with you everywhere you go and slowly drinking it and allowing it to kill you slowly. My God. Words can do that. Words can. Words can. I've spoken at enough prisons, I've spoken at enough schools, I've created enough young programs for young people, I've spoken and ministered to enough women. Come on, somebody. I I've I've been in this work for 30 plus years. A long time. I've traveled around the world, literally, so many places I can't even uh remember, but what I can remember is the theme of what so many people have said. And that is that somebody's words broke them down and have affected their confidence and their self-esteem. Somebody's words have made them feel like they are nothing or nobody, or they'll never measure up and they'll never be good enough, and they're good for nothing but to lay on their back and have babies. Good for nothing but to end up in prison like their daddy or mother feel feel to be to be told words, to be told soul-crushing, cursing words, words that curse your life? Has somebody cursed your life? Did somebody tell you that you you you won't amount to anything? I know I'm talking to somebody. Has somebody told you that you won't amount to anything? That that did somebody tell you that nobody would ever want you if they if you left, if they left you, if you left them, has somebody told you, listen to me, that they should have aborted you? Has somebody told you that you would never own a business, that that you would never be smart enough, that you are not, you don't have what it takes, and and and you are not uh uh uh uh uh good enough to be on the teams. Has somebody cursed you with their words? What does it mean to curse someone? To curse, we think of cursing as file language that starts with these different initials. You you know what they are. I don't have to be on here giving you those curse words. You already know what they are, but there are words that curse our lives, and cuss words curse our lives as well. And one time I'm gonna come on here and teach that. But today I just want to focus on the words that curse us that we don't realize they curse you. Curse words are words that empower you to fail, that empower us to fail. How many people have ended up, how many men or women have ended up in prison because somebody kept telling them over and over, you're gonna end up in prison, you you're gonna end up pregnant, you, you, you're gonna end up uh dropping out of school, you just gonna be a statistic, and you heard it over and over and over until you believed it, and you acquiesced to the to the to the uh uh uh to the to the control of their mouth. And you came under that curse, and before you knew it, you had gotten in trouble. Before you knew it, you were you the very thing that they spoke over you came to pass. That's cursing somebody. Because what happens is we come into agreement with the wrong words. Words are spirit, so it's like coming into agreement with the wrong spirit and being literally affected, being uh damaged, being uh almost destroyed because you came into agreement. So today we're gonna fall out of agreement. Oh yes, today we're falling out of agreement. We're gonna break the covenant. I want you to learn how to break a covenant. If you've come into a covenant, covenant means you're in a unholy, uh, have an unholy bond with the wrong words, and those words have been hanging over your life. They've been hanging over your life, and that's why people start struggle so much with low self-esteem and low self-worth and and low confidence and and and feelings of unworthiness and feeling not good enough. Those most often it's some words that are definitely that you came into agreement with and believed, but today it's about being free. Ha! It's time to get free, it's time to come into agreement with the truth. So when I say two words, they lied, they lied. I'm gonna break it down. If somebody says to you that you're never uh amount to anything, where is that in the Bible? What scripture supports that? What scripture supports if somebody tells you that you're you you're not good enough? What what where is that scripture? You see, whatever you believe, it needs to be rooted in something. Something needs to be the foundation of what you believe. And and and if you're and if you are a follower of Christ, if you're a believer, if you're a Christian, if you believe in God, then you should have what you believe be based on the word of God. Come on. The word of God. So tell me what scripture in the word of God that tells you that you are nothing and you will never amount to anything, and nobody will ever want you, and you will never be loved if you leave if if you leave me. Tell me what scripture tells you that you are never on a business. Tell me what scripture tells you that you will never be able to graduate from school. Tell me what scripture tells you that that that that uh nobody will want to marry you with your three children. Tell me the scripture that tells you that you are worthless. Tell me the scripture, back it up with scripture. You can't because it's not in scripture, it's not in his word, and so if it's not in his word, the Bible says, Romans 3:4, again, let what God's word says, let what God says in his word be your truth, and whatever man says be a lie. Oh my God, it's a lie. They lied. They lied. They lied because the word of God says, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. The word of God tells you that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. The word of God tells you that you're the head, not the tail, above and not beneath. The word of God tells you that you are fearfully, wonderfully made marvelous in his sight. The word of God tells you that you're loved with an everlasting love and that nothing and nothing and nothing and no one can ever separate you from his love. That's what the word says. That's what the word says. That's what the so if you're gonna believe something, believe it because it's in the word of God. If you're going to believe something, believe it because you can read it with your own eyes in scripture. You see, the enemy can use anybody at any time. Why? Because the devil is the biggest crack addict on earth. Yes, he is. And as the biggest crack addict, what does he do? He tries very hard to use people who have issues in their own soul, and when people have issues in their own soul, it makes them susceptible to be used by the enemy to say things to other people that would break them. I talked recently a few weeks ago that broke people, I said, don't let broke people break you. I'll say it again: don't let broke people break you. Don't let broken people break you. Come on. So I want you to get this. I have a lot of righteous anger when it comes to the power of words. I've counseled with too many people who have been broken down, beaten down by words, and they begin to believe it. And that's what creates strongholds. What's a stronghold? A stronghold is when you believe something that is not true, but because you believe it, you end up defending that lie and it controls you the rest of your life. So, so so a stronghold is it's believing that you're unworthy. That's a stronghold. What scripture says that you're unworthy, what scripture says you're unlovable, what scripture says you you are a burden. Come on. No, you are a gift as a woman, as a man, as a young person. You are a gift to the world. Yes, you are, and so anybody that ever said anything, if it's your daddy, guess what? Two words. If he ever put you down, if he ever said something that hurt your feelings and broke your spirit and made you feel like you are really not loved and has given you conditional love and he and he made it very hard for you to feel love because everything was you have to perform. I need to tell you right now, I need you to know right now, if he ever made told you something that broke you down, that made you feel unlovable, I need you to know two words. He lied. I don't care if it's your mom, if it's your mother, and your mother was cruel with words and harsh with words and beat you down with words and put you down with words. I need for you to know two words. No, I don't know what she said, but I can tell you say, I can tell you this. She lied. I don't know who it is. The bullies back in school. Oh my God. Bullies in school are cruel, they're insecure. They're little broken children on the inside that got hurt and pain and anger. And what do they do? They want some other little children to be broken and miserable like them, and they're trying to build themselves up. Don't be a bully. Don't be a bully. If you've been a bully, repent for being a bully. Repent for being a person that has criticized and broken other people's spirits and been hard and critical and harsh and demeaning and degrading. I promise you, I promise you, you will never live fully under the blessing and the favor of God when you have put that much uh cruelty out in the world. I'm helping somebody. We need to be able to humble ourselves to grow and say, you know what? I I don't want to be a soul crusher anymore. I don't want to be a dream crusher. I don't want to be somebody who defiles uh God by criticizing God's greatest, greatest creation. Who are we to criticize and put down? Come on, somebody that God took the time to mold and fashion and design and create and blow breath in and send to the earth with purpose to fulfill. Who are we? Who are we? So so if you've been a uh a person who has used words in the wrong way to hurt others, humble yourself and repent. Don't turn me off. Don't don't flip this off. Listen to it and receive and say, God, I repent. I'm sorry, God, because I know I've been hard. I know I've said harsh things. I realize and I don't want to be that person anymore. I don't want to sow those kinds of seeds anymore. I want to be a dream builder, not a dream buster. Come on. I want to lift up. That's how I live my life. I look for opportunities to do so. But if you have been broken by words and you have heard harsh words, don't let their lies be your truth. It's a lie. If you can't find it in the word, somebody's trying to say about you, somebody spoke over you. You can't find it in the word, you can be assured today, you can have some good news today to be fed into your spirit by saying, She's right. Two words. They lied. They lied. Oh, yeah. Did I say it? Yeah, they lied. That's so important for you to get know and understand. I'm here to tell you. I'm here to tell you. I'm here to tell you. Live your life based on what the word of God says to you, what the word of God says about you. Choose to love who you see when you look in the mirror. Choose to believe that you are more than a conqueror. Choose to believe that you can do all things through Jesus Christ that strengthen you. Choose to believe that you are worthy because of the cross. Choose to believe, come on, that you can own a business. Yes, you, you can own a business. You can write a book. Come on, I don't care. Yeah, you are seat student in school. Well, you got the Holy Spirit today who can help you write a book and who can help you do anything else that you set as a goal. So they lied when they said, You'll never be able to do this, you'll never be able to do that, you'll never be able to own that, you'll never be able to have that. Watch me, watch me. I'm here to tell you the power of God is all over you, and you have the grace and you have the ability because you are empowered and imbued with the power of the Holy Spirit. And there's nothing that He won't help us do if it lines up with the Word of God. So that what's the two words? They lied. Don't let their lies ever again be your truth. You are who God says you are. You are the head, not the tail. You are above and not beneath. You are blessed coming in and going out. You're the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. You are the king's kid and not the devil's doormat. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are designed in the image of God. You are divinely designed. Come on, somebody. And you have been divinely defined by God. You have purpose in the earth. Yes, you do. I don't care what your mistakes have been, I don't care what your past is. Listen, the blood of Jesus is the eraser of every sin, it's the eraser of every mistake, it's the eraser of the past. And so let the past be the past and focus on your present and look forward to your future, knowing that you are backed up by heaven. And so everything that they said is a lie. They lied. Do you get that today? As I close, I want you to receive that. I want you to allow yourself to breathe in the truth by saying they lied. All you have to do is stop for a moment and think about the words that have hurt you, the words that have crushed you. And as you close your eyes, you can say they lied. Say it again. Yes, they lied. They lied. And they're still lying. They lied. He lied. She lied. They lied. But don't you lie anymore? Anymore. Not another day. Fall out of agreement. Break the covenant. Say this. I renounce the covenant. With every word curse. That's ever been spoken over me. That's ever been spoken to me. That's ever been spoken about me. I renounce the curses. And I come into agreement with the truth. I am who God says I am. Fearfully and wonderfully made. I am the head and not the tail. I am an overcomer. I am deeply loved and secure. Savored by God because of who I am. Worthy of God's bear. I am able to do all that Christ Jesus died for me to do. Yes. And the list goes on and on and on. So yes, receive this message today.
