I Watch More Movies Than You

Snow White (2025), Bloody Axe Wound, The Woman in the Yard, Tenebrae (1982)

Ken Palmer Episode 54

Is Snow White as bad as its IMDB score!? Can Gal Gadot act!? Is the new indie horror comedy Bloody Axe Would absolutely fantastic!? How about the newest horror picture in movie theaters right now, The Woman in the Yard- is it worth the price of admission? And a movie that needs no introduction, we continue our deep dive into the hauntingly beautiful Italian genre of film, Giallo, with Dario Argento's Tenebrae!

We start off with making the distinction that the 'Snow White' we are discussing is in fact Marc Webb, Rachel Zegler and co and not that little white baggy in your pocket. Bobby gives this latest Disney film a fare shake and we discuss what went right, wrong, and in between.

Then we have a fantastic discussion, if I may be so bold, on the art of the PG-13 horror film! Shortly after we review Matthew John Lawrence's 'Bloody Axe Wound.' Bloody Axe Wound has one of the best log lines we've seen in a Hollywood minute, what if axe murderin' was a family business? Yes please.

And then we dive into the pg-13 horror film in question, 'The Woman in the Yard.' The Woman in the Yard has one of the most haunting trailers of the year and one we have been stoked to finally see, but you must be wondering.. does it live up to the hype!? Listen to our spoiler-free review and find out!

Last but oh my goodness not least, the haunting masterpiece that is Dario Argento's return to giallo glory, 'Tenebrae.' Horror fans, cinephiles, and film aficionados, get to know this genre of film.  Giallo, literally yellow in Italian, is a reference to the pulp horror whodunits of the 20s and 30s in Italian supermarkets, but what it means in film is an evolution and adaptation of those novels. If you have ever watched John Carpenter's Halloween, or a slasher at all, you have witnessed the influence of giallo films and, more specifically, the great Dario Argento. From Deep Red now to Tenebrae, journey with us as we discuss what makes this movie such a stone cold classic and the giallo genre one you can't miss!

If you love your mother, please consider leaving us a 5-star review and sharing us around- we'd greatly appreciate it and hope we've earned it! Now go watch some darn movies, and try to catch up.. because you know.. we watch WAY more movies than you! See ya people!
