In this episode of Deserts to Mountaintops, Jessica interviews Alice Meehan, author of the anthology chapter titled "Embracing the Feminine,"  where she details her desert to mountaintop experience navigating a toxic work culture and finding her voice in the Divine Feminine.

Meet Alice:
Alice has been in business management consulting for over twenty-five years. This has brought her great joy and great pain at times. After working in toxic environments and experiencing mistreatment at the hands of male leadership, Alice delved deeper into her spiritual work. She found her true voice through working with the Divine Feminine in cultivating a life of awareness and self-discovery through various practices of spirituality including manifestation, visualization, meditation, moon cycles, and even a little magic. Alice has always felt pulled to women’s empowerment. As the mother of two daughters, it is extremely important to her that they are able to live in this world as who they truly are and not be silenced by the patriarchy. Alice wants to share her story, to help other women (especially young women) know they do not have to succumb to a toxic workplace, but can embrace their feminine values and not be afraid to fully use their voice. She hopes her work experience and her spirituality will inspire other women to be their authentic selves and discover their magic. Alice’s greatest joys are spending time with her husband and two daughters (“laughing with them is the best thing in the world”), working out, collecting crystals, reading, and sitting on the beach absorbing the sounds and energy of the ocean.
