DPS is in the process of crafting its next Strategic Roadmap, which will include a list of “Student Promises.” You can think of a “Student Promise” as things that every student can count on. DPS wants to know what you believe should be true for every student so we can ensure we meet those expectations. Please take the Strategic Roadmap Student Promises Survey, help DPS refine what we promise to all students. The survey is open now through 5 p.m. on March 29. It takes only 7-10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential. Email surveys@dpsk12.net.

The Department of Climate & Safety is launching a new series of Student Safety Summits this spring. There will be a total of six summits, each giving families the opportunity to connect with the people and programs that support student safety and well-being across DPS. Every event includes a community resource fair and two rounds of breakout sessions on topics such as bullying prevention, youth violence prevention, and emergency preparedness.
The first summit will take place on April 7 at North High School in collaboration with DPS’ Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department. The event will feature a presentation from The Tucker Project about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills. Food will be provided at this event.
