I will be joined by my co-hosts Detective Burke, with over 29 years in, and Sgt RJ with over 15 yrs. Your mind will be taken on a wacky journey into some quirky and bizarre tales. Heat the Movie, A Look at A Classic 90s Movie!
Well, it's movie time again folks. Have we got a doozy for ya, Heat...jam packed with stars abound. Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, Natalie Portman, Ashley Judd, Dennis Haysbert, William Fitcher, and Henry Rollins, and more.
It is your classic cops and robbers movie, Al Pacino the seasoned LAPD Detective. Chases Robert De Niro all over LA as he takes his robbery crew on a crime spree. Of course, the good guys win in the end. De Niro falls in love, leaves his love, Val Kilmer gets shot and lives in the end, and Sizemore gets smoked by Al Pacino in a courtyard...lots of gunplay, and some crafty story telling fills in the rest!!!! Famously directed by Michael Mann...and oh don't be so hasty, there may be a sequel in the works...we've heard rumors.
We will take you on a journey on this episode, filled with tirades, comedy, fact bombs, and some just pure deep take discussions. We break the movie down into these categories: entertainment value, story, plausibility, and realism.
We leave nothing off the table...no mercy in this one! We did love the movie, really enjoyed it, it is a 2 hours and 50 min ride deep into the 1990s movie making magic. Seems, like a totally different film than today's movies, some aspects better, and some not...great story telling.
