Leave The World Behind is a family film and a paranoid dystopian thriller.

Based on the novel of the same name written by Rumaan Alam & directed by Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot).

Amanda (Julia Roberts) convinces her husband Clay (Ethan Hawke) that they and their 2 kids need to get away from the bustle of NYC. An impromptu booking leads to a stay away in a modern mansion by the coast. Not long after their arrival, weird events begin to unfold. 

Not the least of these is the owner of the house, GH Scott (Mahershala Ali) and his daughter (Myha’la) arrive to the door in the night.

Tension, confusion and trust issues bubble up.

In part 1, we hear where Liam’s ideas for the rest of the story will lead.
