Ever wondered how to tell the difference between intuition and anxiety? On this week's episode of Intuitive Insights, we uncover the fascinating dynamics between these two powerful forces. You'll learn how societal and environmental factors shape our intuitive abilities, and we'll dig into the significance of the frequency, energy, and vibration we operate in. Inspired by Tesla's concepts, we discuss how aligning our personal "radio station" can help us tap into our inner wisdom more effectively. Practical tips like spending time in nature and exercising will be shared to help you tune into a clearer frequency and enhance your creative processes.

In an era where younger generations are increasingly drawn to practices like astrology, numerology, and yoga, distinguishing intuition from anxiety becomes crucial. We explore how fear and anxiety often disguise themselves as intuition, leading to potentially misguided decisions. By experimenting with various practices to connect with your true intuition, you'll learn to shift your frequency to a more soul-connected space. Join us and discover how to navigate your intuitive journey amidst the complexities of modern society. Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Intuitive Insights. I am your host, megan McDonough. This is where we explore intuition and how to use it in your life, in your everyday life, how to trust it more, how to trust yourself more, and how it interweaves into your connection to your soul, self and your creativity. This week I'm going to be exploring something that's been just kind of marinating around me and what I'm seeing and what I'm feeling and what I'm noticing in readings and my life, in personal and socially. So intuition, I personally believe we all have it, just like creativity we all have it. Some of us are more predetermined to be connected to it because of, innately, how we came into this earth and the gifts that we were given, or also by your environment. You know what was? Were you brought up in a culture and in a society or in a home that fostered and encouraged your creative sense of self, your intuitive sense of self? Or were you told that that is crazy or not good or not right and fear is the only way to live? So I think there's probably a little bit of all of those in all of our upbringings Some support and encouragement and some not so supportive and not so encouraging. So, needless to say, I feel like we all probably have a interesting relationship to what intuition is. So this week I would love to explore the difference and the connection, or pseudo connection, between intuition and anxiety. All right, anxiety, who doesn't have it? Am I right? I mean, at this point, in the way society has kind of built us up with all of our technological gadgets and so much information that it's like we're being informed on the information that was informed. I mean, it's just, it's so we're being informed on the information that was informed. I mean it's just it's so much mind noise. But what I feel like is that it puts our if we want to talk about. So.

Speaker 1:

One of my favorite quotes and I believe I've said it before is from Tesla, who says if you want to know the secrets of the universe, think in terms of frequency, vibration and frequency, vibration. And what's the other one? Frequency, vibration, and oh God, I can't even think of the other one oh, energy, oh, my God, the easiest one. So so, anyway, um, anyway, okay, yeah, I'm not going to add that out, just cause you know, just cause brain farts are fun sometimes. So if we're thinking in that way, a frequency, energy and vibration, frequency, energy and vibration. I don't know if you've noticed this, and maybe it's this upcoming US election, maybe it's a million other things.

Speaker 1:

Schools just started here, you know, getting back to a different routine and hustling and bustling kids around and activities and so forth. That can add a different layer too. But what is the frequency, the energy, the vibration in which you're operating? Because that frequency I mean, if you think of it like a radio station, right, like what channel are you tuning into? Are you listening to all sports all the time? Are you listening to public radio? You got a little jazz on, maybe some classical, maybe hard rock. What are you listening to? All sports all the time? Are you listening to public radio? You got a little jazz on, maybe some classical, maybe hard rock. What are you listening to? What station are you living in? Or are you kind of living in between two different stations in the massive static, kind of getting pulled back and forth, a little bit of one station, a little bit of the other, but not really clear in which direction you want to go or what your message is? I find myself in that one a lot.

Speaker 1:

But if we're thinking of it in terms of frequency like that, the frequency that you're living in, what vibration you are vibrating in within, has a lot of influence on how you get and perceive your intuition. And when I speak of intuition here, what I'm talking about is kind of like the soul's knowing, the inner knowing that wisdom within. You may call it the booty mind, the Buddha mind in yoga. So intellect, right, wisdom. So how you attain that information is colored by your frequency, by your station that you're living in. You could also look at it in a visual term, like a filter on a picture. You know, you've seen all those filters on, you know every app that allows you to take a gorgeous picture every time, because you can edit things out and change your filter to make it a different tone or mood. So that also can influence the connection to the message of your intuition it's originating from.

Speaker 1:

But there's so much anxiety that, like sometimes it's hard to connect to the pure message of the soul, the pure message of your intuition, because the anxiety around it colors it. The vibration of the anxiety, the vibration that you're living in, colors the message, how we receive it and how we perceive it. I have a saying that you can't create out of tension. I mean, yes, you can right, but it's not your best work. Work, and so the body and the mind needs to peel back the layers or turn down the volume on the static, or mellow out the frequency or take away the filters in order to clearly hear the message. So how do you do that? Well, there's a couple of things. I'll give you some of my go-tos Getting outside, getting into nature. Getting outside, getting into nature Nature never forgets to breathe. Nature doesn't get trapped up in the mind stuff. Nature is just living and breathing and being and surviving and thriving. And being in the presence of the vibration of nature helps change the presence and vibration of yourself to connect more to that space.

Speaker 1:

I like to exercise I always have and mostly because it changes my brain. When I exercise, my brain changes and yes, there's scientific reasons why this is I'm also ADHD so that serotonin, dopamine, those hits help a lot when I exercise and I can see how the thoughts in my brain, which may not be the most positive or cheerleading, change to cheerleading and positive after I exercise. And that doesn't have to be hard exercise, anything that gets the body moving and the breath flowing, breath, breath, work, and that can be as simple as just sitting and being and checking in with your breath, listening to it, not judging it, feeling it. There is a saying in yoga the body is to the breath as the breath is to the mind. Calm down, slow down the body, calm down, slow down the breath. Calm down, slow down the mind, the mind. Another is through meditation, and there are two forms that I'm going to offer here, three actually.

Speaker 1:

So some of us are prone to visualization, right. So we see a lot of things, visualize a lot of things very imaginative. We see in pictures or remember in pictures. If you have a hard time meditating or concentrating, which is the precursor to meditation, dhāra into Dhyana, which is meditation, dharanya, concentration, dhyana, meditation. Holding your mind's eye or visualizing someone or something that brings you utter joy, that ignites your heart and just fills you with the vibrations of joy and love and peace and devotion and faith and positivity, inspiration. Holding that person, place or thing in your mind and seeing it in intricate detail. And seeing in intricate detail and as you see it more, feel yourself, connect to it more, and that will shift your energy, that will shift your vibration.

Speaker 1:

Some of us are more auditory, meaning we hear things more, remember in words, we think in words more obviously instead of pictures. And so japa, which is repetition of a mantra, which is like a sacred word or phrase, can also be a good source of concentration, source of dhāna. So repeating either a Sanskrit word sometimes I like Sanskrit words because I don't have any predetermined knowledge of them and so, as I repeat the word, new subtle layers of information kind of unfold intuitively or you can repeat a phrase that brings you joy and elevates your heart and your vibration, like the word joy or love or peace, or I am whole, I am whole, I am enough, I am enough, whatever resonates with you and shifts the subtle vibration of your body, repeated over and over. You can even start with one minute at a time, adding to that until you get up to 20, 10, 20 minutes of concentration I lied, I'm offering one more chanting. So saying those same things out loud, either in Sanskrit or those words that I just spoke about, words that bring you joy and change your vibration into a positive, lighter frequency. You can also start by saying them, repeating them out loud, igniting that literally the vibration of those words in your body, the sounds in your body, and then taking that repetition into the brain mentally and then allow all of that to fall off into stillness. And that's the last offering.

Speaker 1:

The lineage of yoga that I was taught speaks of the Ashtanga's eight limbs going from Dharanya to Dhyana, and that Dhyana, dharanya, concentration, dhyana meditation. Dhyana meditation is something that just evolves from a concentration, and these are all ways in which to shift the frequency of the body, to clear the static, to clear the disruptive noise that filters that message from intuition, that soulful message that you're meant to receive and that you're meant to be in conversation with. So those are some techniques on how to clear the frequency so that you can have a clear conversation and when I say clear conversation with intuition, it's not as much talking as it is listening, it's not as much asking for as it is experiencing. But how to tell the difference between anxiety and and intuition is all in the feeling. Once you shift the frequency from wherever you are, through movement, breath, meditation, stillness, whatever you practice of your choice maybe all of them, I like all of them you're going to be able to feel the energy of the body. Your vibration shifts a bit, the vibration that is attached to anxiety. You slow down a bit, you're okay with being still.

Speaker 1:

Anxiety is a sub-frequency of fear, and fear has no place in the intuitive space. The physical body, the intellect, knows fear. The soul does not. The soul is fearless. The soul is unattached when your intuition comes forth with a message for you and you'll know when it resonates, because if you've ever had this experience before, the way in which it resonates is unattached, is fearless. It doesn't mean that it's not difficult. It doesn't mean that it might not be a gnarly choice, meaning it may be a choice or a message that is bringing you forward in a positive way for positive results eventually for everyone. But the change in which that action or doing may occur may not feel so great all the time.

Speaker 1:

Now, of course, I'm speaking in generalities, but I'm not saying you would hurt anyone. So, to use a specific example to clarify, if you turn down the volume on everything else and what you have on your heart is, do I stay or do I go? And the clear choice is to go, and the way you come to that choice is unattached and fearless. It doesn't mean that there may not be some temporary skin knees and bruises and conversely, it could be. You know, should I take the job or should I not take the job Right, and when you sit with the answer, what feels more positive and more detached and more fearless is yes Versus the no, being bogged down by mind stuff. Well, if I do that, then I have to move and that's a lot for everybody and blah, blah, blah and it's not enough money, or it is too much money when all the mind chatter gets in the way. That's not intuitive speak. That's not your soul talking to you, that's your brain getting in the way.

Speaker 1:

So the reason I'm talking about this today and the reason I'm bringing this up is because I feel like we are moving into a more intuitive society where I'm seeing the younger generations. They're so open to astrology, numerology, reiki, energy work, yoga, intuition, right, but we're also in a very anxious society, and so having the ability to discern between what is anxiety and what is intuition is key, because they are not the same and a lot of the times, we operate from what we think is intuition but is really being fueled by anxiety, our fear of something to protect ourself, our fear of something that isn't going to happen, of lack or of whatever it may be. Fear has no place in the intuitive space. So experiment with that.

Speaker 1:

Let me know what works for you. Do you have another practice that helps you connect with your intuition and change your frequency so that you can tune in more to your intuitive space, your soul, connected space? What practice of these that I listed that I mentioned work for you? What don't, let me know. All right, that is the message, and you can find me on Instagram, facebook, youtube at Magnetize your Light or info at magnetizeyourlightcom. I look forward to connecting with you and I hope you have a magical week.
