Intuitive Insights: Inspiring Stories and Intuitive Tools for the Creative Soul
Welcome to Intuitive Insights. I’m Meghan—your no-BS woo-woo coach. Every other week, I share practical spiritual tools, creative inspiration, and explore meaningful conversations that show intuition is less crystal ball and more compass. Together, we’ll navigate how intuition shows up in everyday life, how it shapes purpose, and the practices that help us live more connected, creative, and soul-aligned.
Added Bonus: I promise to keep it fun. "Remember to laugh—because you are always on your path."

Intuitive Insights: Inspiring Stories and Intuitive Tools for the Creative Soul
Intuition and Creativity: The Infinite Dance; 3 Ways to Unlock Flow
Intuition and creativity are intrinsically linked in a cyclical relationship that can be understood through the physics concepts of potential and kinetic energy. When we tap into our intuition, we unlock creative potential that manifests through active expression.
• Intuition is potential creativity – the energy before motion, representing ideas and insights not yet expressed
• Creativity is kinetic intuition – intuitive insights in active motion, made tangible through expression
• When feeling stuck, first identify which state you're in – over-creating without listening or over-listening without creating
• Practices like meditation, nature walks, and body movement can reconnect you to intuition when feeling creatively blocked
• You cannot create out of tension – release mental, emotional, and physical tension to allow creative energy to flow
• Finger painting and play help release perfectionism and connect to childlike creative freedom
• Stay curious and embrace play to maintain the healthy cycle between intuition and creativity

Hello, welcome to Intuitive Insights. I am your no BS Woowoo coach, megan McDonough. I am an intuitive guide, creativity coach and my hope with this podcast, intuitive Insights, is to help you take the magic of intuition and creativity and make them practical practices of your everyday life. That little small thing there. Every couple weeks I come. Every other week I'll have a podcast, one where I share, usually one where I share insights based on my own experience or situations that I've extracted that I thought might be helpful or useful, sometimes including little meditations or practices, practical practices and others will be interviews with really hopefully insightful and inspiring conversations, figuring out how other people use creativity and intuition in their lives. Hopefully you get a little tools and pieces, bits and pieces here and there that you can use for yourself. That's my hope. So today I wanted to share with you an idea that I've been meddling around with. This idea is it's how we utilize creativity and intuition together, how they work together, what the relationship is to each other.
Speaker 1:In my experience as an artist, in my experience as an intuitive, I find that intuition I've often said intuition is an access point to creativity and creativity is an access point to intuition. So when you're in that creative flow. You're kind of just listening to your intuition. You're being guided by your heart, your soul, or that inner listening. When you're being guided, or allowing yourself to guide yourself with the inner listening of intuition, creativity starts to emerge within you and you want to, like, do something with it. Right, you get feel very creative. Everything starts to you know, you feel like you want to make something, do something. You feel alive, right. So I have this phrase that came to me recently through a conversation with someone and I wanted to share it with you because I feel like just having these words might help navigate that for yourself. Especially when you feel stuck intuitively or creatively, you know that you have an outlet to get there, a couple of tools to get yourself back in the saddle and back into the flow.
Speaker 1:So and it has to do with energy, the idea of potential energy and kinetic energy. So, for those of you who don't remember or know, kinetic is energy in motion and potential energy is just that, energy that has not gone into motion yet, but it has the potential to. So I'm going to be technical with you here. It's very unlike me, yes, I know, but I'm going to give you the definition. So in physics, potential energy is the energy of an object or system due to the body's position relative to other objects or the configuration of its particles. The energy is equal to the work done against any restoring forces such as gravity or those in a spring.
Speaker 1:In the case of a bow and arrow, when the archer does the work on the bow, drawing the string back, some of the chemical energy of the archer's body is transformed into elastic potential energy in the bent limb of the bow. When the string is released, the force between the string and the arrow does work on the arrow. The potential energy in the bow limb is transformed into kinetic energy of the arrow as it takes flight. So how I'm interpreting that and if you have a different interpretation I would love to hear it Please let me know. But what I'm interpreting, that is, is that potential energy is the energy in the string, like in a state of getting ready, like it has the potential to be active but is not quite so yet, or physical right Now. Kinetic energy, on the other hand, in physics is the energy of an object, is sorry, kinetic energy of an object is the form of energy that it possesses due to its motion. So potential energy is the energy prior to motion and kinetic is the energy of motion.
Speaker 1:I hope I didn't confuse you too much, or myself, but here's what I wanted to say. Intuition is potential creativity, creativity is kinetic intuition. So intuition is the idea, feeling, the knowing, the soon to be expression. Creativity is the active form of that expression. Ying-yang or not ying-yang, infinity sign right. So, having said that, if you feel stuck on the intuitive or the creative path, or you find yourself in that space, a couple of ways that you can kick yourself out of it are one recognizing which state you're in, meaning are you overactive right now? Are you creating, creating, creating but not listening? Or are you listening, listening, listening but not putting it into momentum, not putting it into practice, not making physical right? So what stage are you in? Are you just intuitively listening, gathering information, or are you connecting to your? Intuitively listening, gathering information or are you connecting to your? Are you creating and being active with your intuition Makes sense, okay.
Speaker 1:Number two is, if you are feeling creatively stuck, find things that ignite your meditation, your intuition. Like meditation, a nice walk outside Nature is a big generator for me to quiet the loud voices and get me closer to the quiet voice which is my intuition, or I call my intuition a higher self. Move your body, move your body, move your breath, shift your mind. The body is to the breath as the breath is to the mind. So if you need to shift the mind, shift the body. If it's stagnant, move it. If it's moving too much, be still.
Speaker 1:The creativity to me is it is a connection to source, because source has a very fluid creative energy and so when you're lacking creativity, the feeling of creativity, it's usually a disconnection from your connection to source and or your practices of connection to source. So if you don't have practices, maybe time to cultivate them and make it like a science experiment. Or what is it that brings me peace? What is it that quiets the mind so I can hear the higher voice, the higher self talking to me, my intuition speaking up. Take the mic away from anxieties and pass it to the intuition. So, movement, shifting from movement or lack of movement, if you're moving too much, so finding your balance of which part of the trajectory you're on in your creative, intuitive space, what fills you up, to help you connect to your intuition. And do that if you feel disconnected from creativity, because creativity and intuition are intrinsically linked.
Speaker 1:And number three, through the last thing, is you cannot create out of tension. I firmly believe you cannot create out of tension. So if there's mental, emotional or physical tension, the energy of creation, the energy of source, has a really hard time moving through it. So do what you need to do to release tension. Take a hot bath. You know, sometimes I'll do that. I like that little ritual there. Have a ritual, meditate, like I said, do something in nature.
Speaker 1:Finger paint, I mean. You feel like it. I like it because I like feeling like a child and it does make me feel like a child. It also takes the importance out of precision. There's something just so viscerally expressive about finger painting. It just makes you go okay. It's like you know, in improv you're yes-anding yourself because you're just playing. Which brings me to my favorite saying stay curious, play. Okay. That's my deep thoughts for today.
Speaker 1:I hope those insights help you. I know it's not voluminous Sometimes that's okay too. I'm hoping If this helped you, if you like it, please, please, please. If you like this content, like and subscribe. That helps me make more of these for you and if you are looking for a reading for yourself. I am an intuitive guide and coach. So I do readings and I also offer coaching to help you empower yourself and be able to kind of be the reader for yourself. So you can, you know, pave your way forward.
