Satyagraha is an unmistakable mute prayer of an agonized soul.

You know, I find this very, very helpful to bear in mind and think of when we're involved in an action. Because often we think that satyagraha is the screaming of an angry soul. And Gandhi is telling us that that kind of “satyagraha” will not really have the desired effect. And it's very important that we realize that we're not doing it correctly, because otherwise we say, “Oh, we tried satyagraha and it didn't work.”
But remember, the inner dimension of satyagraha is, if anything, more important than the outer action.
