David's Saturday Night Sit Back (DSNSB)
When I started this show, I had no clear direction — no perfect plan, no “ideal guest.”
So, I committed to recording 21 episodes and figured if something clicked, I’d keep going. Around episode 12, a guest flipped the script and started asking me the hard questions. I was terrified to publish it — but I’d be a hypocrite to ask for people’s truth if I wasn’t willing to give mine.
Then a 17-year-old approached me at the gym after hearing my story. He told me that at 16, he tried to take his own life. And somehow, hearing that episode gave him the hope to keep going.
This podcast is now a mission: to tell personal stories with an aim light the internal fire in young men and women across the globe who are walking through the dark night of their journey.

Ben Patrick is a man of faith, a new father, a former Texas high school quarterback, Texas A&M graduate, and someone learning how to become the kind of man his father modeled for him.
In this conversation, Ben shares the story of losing his father Jack to cancer during his senior year of college, the powerful final moments his family experienced in the hospital room, and how that loss strengthened his relationship with God instead of breaking it.
He also opens up about becoming a father exactly two years later, supporting Caitlin through pregnancy, their son Bennett’s scary NICU experience, giving up alcohol and nicotine, and the daily discipline of showing up for the people who need him most.
This episode explores faith, grief, fatherhood, masculinity, family, health, discipline, and the quiet responsibility of becoming a man before you feel ready.
