Taylor & Curtis

Welcome ladies, germs, and people of all genders! Join Curtis and Taylor as we discuss one of our most masculine topics ever – chosen by our FEMALE (yes, I like sounding like a Ferengi) host! – classic mythology in movies featuring entirely male casts. How this wasn’t a Curtis topic, we may never know, but regardless we delve into the Greek and Norse mythology that influences the movies that we are discussing, as well as how well those themes are expressed in the film. And, of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give you some great background from sources such as “ancienthistory.org” and “Den of Geek” (we are eternally indebted to you, Den of Geek). Do dudes, in fact, rock? Is it okay for a man to cry after one of his friends dies, or should he wait until that number reaches four? Is a fart always funny? And is it bad luck to cheers water? Listen and find out!

Please connect with us on Instagram: @ahhrealfilms, or drop us a line to let us know how we're doing, or to suggest a future topic or film to discuss: ahhrealfilms@gmail.com. We’d love any recommendations for a new topic or a future listener submitted episode! And please remember to rate, review, and subscribe on your favorite podcast app!

You can also find us both on Letterboxd! Follow us on our horror journey and occasional forays into romcoms (because let's be real).
