The first episode of 'The Kick-off!' with Noah and Leroy. A preview Round 10's NRL fixtures!
G'day fans, I'm Koa. And this is Leroy. We are coming to you live for a massive round 10 preview. It's the round where the pretenders start to fall away and the contenders really put the foot down. That's right, Koa. We have to start with the game everyone's been talking about the Dolphins vs. the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium. Honestly, the Bulldogs have been spending so much time on the Gold Coast and in Brizzy lately that the NRL is considering renaming them the Belmore Beach Boys. They might as well apply for a Queensland driver's licence at this rate. But look, they've made this one of the hardest weeks to predict. Both teams are hovering mid-table and desperate to break into that top eight. Leary, what's the gut saying? I reckon a golden point is on the cards. It's going to be gritty. I think the score will be 19-18 the Bulldogs way. They've got that beach boy luck on their side. I'm with you on the winner, but I'll think it'll be a slightly higher higher scoring. I'm predicting a tight 20-18 finish for the Bulldogs. But let's move on because Friday night takes us north to Townsville for the Cowboys vs. Eels. Now the Cowboys at Queensland Country Bank Stadium are a different beast. The eels have been slipping lately. They're looking more like slippery eels than a premiership threat. If the Cowboys forward back turns up, it's going to be a long night for Parral. Totally. Then Saturday night we've got a blockbuster Sea Eagles vs Broncos at Four Pines Park. Brookvale is never an easy place to go, especially for a Brisbane team. It's a trek. It is, but the Broncos have been flying. Even so, there's something about that manly hill that makes teams crumble. I'm calling an upset there. Manly by a converted dry. Big call, but let's get to the Sunday showdown. That's circled on every calendar Raiders vs Panthers in the nation's capital. The Raiders have been so inconsistent at Geo Stadium lately that the NRL is considering moving their home games to the local aquarium so they can finally learn how to swim with sharks. They'll need more than a set of fins to stop Penrith. Penrith is sitting pretty high at the top of the ladder. Unless Canberra finds some serious aquatic defense, it could be a blowout. It's a big ass for the green machine. Alright, fans, that's our round ten rap. Get your tips in and let us know if you think the Bulldogs are officially Queenslanders now.
