Koah and Leroy discuss the weekend's 'Magic Round'!

Speaker

We're back. That was a flogging from the Dolphins. Turn up your speakers, footy fans. I'm Koah and next to me is Leroy. We're coming to you live from Murwillumbah for the biggest weekend of the whole year. NRL Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium. 16 teams, 8 massive games and 3 days of non-stop hits. That's right, Koah. The smell of meat pies in the air and the fans are losing their minds. We have so much ground to cover today because this round is where the season completely resets. No more excuses. It's time to perform. Exactly. Let's kick off with the Friday night explosion. The Gold Coast Titans taking on the North Queensland Cowboys. This is a massive all Queensland battle. The Titans have been leaking points like a broken tap lately. Honestly, their defence line has been so wide open that the referee almost called a taxi to help them chase the runners. They really do need some GPS trackers just to find out where the ball went. But look, playing at Suncorp Stadium changes everything. My gut says the Titans are going to find an extra gear to shock everyone. I'm tipping a high scoring thriller. Give me the Titans to win it 32 to 28 in an absolute classic. Whoa, a massive upset tip to start the show. I think the Cowboys forward pack will just be too strong for them in the game. But I agree it will be close. Let's jump over to Saturday afternoon for a total heavyweight clash. The Penrith Panthers up against the Manley Sea Eagles. Oh man, this is going to be brutal. The Panthers are playing like a finely tuned machine at the top of the ladder. Manly has lots of star power, but they have been dropping the ball in their own half way too much lately. If you give Penrith that much cheapball, they'll punish you until you cry. Too true. If Manley wants to stay in this game, they need to hold on to the ball like it's the last pizza pizza at a birthday party. I'm predicting the Panthers' defence will completely lock them down. Let's go with a tough, gritty 18 to 6 win for the mountain men. Yeah, hard to argue with that. But now let's talk about the absolute blockbuster on Saturday night. The Sydney Roosters versus the Brisbane Broncos at Sunkop Stadium. Sunkop Stadium is going to be a sea of maroon and gold. The noise is going to be absolutely deafening. The Roosters are coming up north with a point to prove. They've got some of the biggest hitters in the game, but the Broncos on a Saturday night at home are a completely different animal. Their outside backs have so much speed it's almost unfair. It's like trying to catch a bunch of cheaters in a supermarket. I reckon this game is going to go down to the final minute. I'm calling a field goal finish. Let's go 23 to 22 the Broncos way. The whole stadium is going to go absolute crazy. My heart can't take a finish that close, Leroy. Finally, let's wrap it up with the Sunday's big game. The Cronulla Sharks taking on the New Zealand Warriors. The Warriors have the Warriors fans have travelled across the ditch in massive numbers. They are waving flags and singing so loud you can hear them from the car park. The Sharks are sitting high and dry on the ladder, but they cannot afford to relax here. The Warriors have a tricky style of play that can scramble your brain if you aren't ready for it. Definitely. Cronulla needs to control the speed of the game for the from the very first whistle. If they let the Warriors get their offloads going, it's going to be a very long afternoon for the boys from the Shire. I am backing the Sharks to just get home in a tight one. 14 to 12. What a weekend of footy we have ahead of us. Alright fans, that is our massive round eleven Magic Round Mav Mega Preview done. Enjoy the games. See you next week.
