We review Cavalry FC's match earlier this week vs the Vancouver Whitecaps. While the Whitecaps did advance to the next round, Cavalry put in a solid performance and kept World Cup winner Thomas Muller in check. We also preview Cavalry's match this weekend vs Halifax.
The Leah Blayney era begins this weekend as the Calgary Wild host the Montreal Roses at McMahon Stadium. We preview this match and also talk about the new Canadian women's club championship. In this tournament, the Wild will play host to a semi-pro team from Quebec and the match will be at Spruce Meadows.
Our interview is with Massi Djabali, who plays for Villains in the APL. He is a veteran player with the club who has a long career playing professionally in Algeria and France. We talk about his football journey, moving to Calgary and how he joined Villains.
