Where They Stood
A podcast dedicated to Michigan history and morbidly amazing stories buried deep (and not so deep) in our family trees.
Where They Stood
5: The Marples
They were carpenters, soldiers, bakers, confectioners and inventors. They hailed from the British Empire, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio, without almost never moving. They were absolute patriots whose branches and roots filled the lands. They went to war….sadly, against each other and some of them ended up in Charlotte, MI. They were a little bit of this and a little bit of that, which is what this episode is going to be like and...might they be tied to our beloved Hastings family from episodes one and two? Please let me introduce you to… the Marples.
