Rev. Dr. Silvia Behrend reflects on transformation, courage, and the spiritual work of saying yes to the life that is unfolding through us.

Drawing from spiritual traditions, scripture, and lived experience, Rev. Silvia reflects on how growth often requires us to move beyond what feels comfortable. Transformation, she reminds us, is not always easy—but it is part of the unfolding of life itself. Like a seed breaking open to grow or a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, we are continually invited into new forms of becoming.

Her message also speaks to the role of spiritual community and leadership—how each of us participates in the unfolding vision of a living spiritual community by bringing our willingness, attention, and courage.

The service includes a guided meditation with Rev. Cynthia Alice and special music by violinist Josh Anderson and pianist Eric Brook, performing movements from “Violin Sonata in G Minor, HWV 386” by George Frideric Handel (1685–1759).

Take a breath, settle in, and allow this time to be a moment of reflection and encouragement on your path.
