What Happened To Daniel Barajas On Interstate 30?
The first podcast of 2024! Join Justin and Preston as they speak with the family of Daniel Barajas. Daniel died suddenly after a bizarre encounter with law enforcement in Saline County Arkansas.
The encounter started as law enforcement claims they received a phone call about a welfare check on the exit ramp off I-30. After speaking with the occupant, Daniel Barajas, they alleged he was either having a mental health episode or was on narcotics. The paramedics were called to the scene and cleared Daniel. The officers then cleared Daniel of being on narcotics after they initially claimed that he was.
The police reports were poorly written. Some reports are missing. There are no radio / call logs. There was not a toxicology report done. Photos are limited. No one has answers and the law enforcement agency is not forthcoming. The only thing police are telling the family is that it was suicide.
Xexlilia Barajas and Raquel Ramos join us on the show with their attorney, Mike Laux and share the good memories of their brother Daniel. The family also tells the horrific story of how they learned about the death of their brother and how to this day, they still have no answers.
A federal civil rights lawsuit has been filed with Mike Laux from Laux Law Group representing the family.
