Three Daily Practices That Keep You Going When Life Lifes
We explore the importance of perseverance during challenging seasons, diving into Galatians 6:9 as a scriptural foundation for not giving up when facing difficulties.
• Breaking your day into three intentional parts to maintain spiritual focus
• Morning routine: declaring positive truths over your day instead of speaking negativity
• Midday practice: resetting with scripture (like Psalm 40) after absorbing workplace stress
• Evening discipline: releasing the day before sleep and positioning yourself to hear from God
• Recognizing that God works most powerfully during our hardest seasons
• Finding joy in the journey even when circumstances are difficult
• Understanding that "in due season we will reap" if we don't give up

no-transcript. I'm just adjusting my music. And how are y'all doing? I hope everybody's doing. Okay, it is. I just can't believe. We're almost. No, we're midway through April.
Speaker 1:So we've got a couple more teaching on this particular subject. So this is week three for us and the title for this, this particular subject. So this is week three for us, and the title for this today's teaching is keep going, even when it's hard. So we've been really leaning into scriptures that encourage us, and it doesn't matter what season you're in If you're in a season where it's all going well. I'm just looking at my comments real quickly. Good morning, dr Tracy. Faithful Tracy, it doesn't matter what season you're in. As I was saying, this might be a winning season for you, and so then the encouragement is to keep going. This might not be a winning season for you, and then the encouragement is for you to keep going. So, either way, whatever season you're in.
Speaker 1:So before we get started, I just want to say a quick prayer and then I'm going to pull up the scripture we're going to be in Galatians 6, verse 9, and then we're going to close with prayer and move on with our day. Okay, all right. So, lord, we just thank you for allowing us again to see another Thursday. We're so grateful for all that you have already done and we declare victory in this day that everything that we do, every meeting, every encounter, every conversation, every email, even the post, anything that we do, lord God, even the things that's coming in our mail, it's all going to work out for our good, no matter what it is that we're going through, the season that we're in, that there won't be any doubt that you are still God. You're still a father that blesses his children. We thank you that you'll show us mercy today. We thank you for the goodness of the day. We thank you for blessing us and restoring us and protecting us, especially those who are commuting now to work. Lord, I ask that you'll bless them as they go to and from their destinations, that they'll come home safely. For those who are in the job market, lord, that those are feeling weary by not hearing news or being, or the sense or feeling of rejection, that that you'll, you know, even use this, use this podcast, lord God, to encourage them to just hold on, hold on. So all of these things we ask in Jesus name, amen. We got to start with prayer, okay, so I wanted to. I'm going to pull up this scripture Galatians six, verse nine. So I wanted to. I'm going to pull up this scripture, galatians 6, verse 9. This is the ESV version and it says and let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.
Speaker 1:It's very tempting and enticing, when things aren't going our way, for us to look for an easier way out, especially can I just be honest especially when it looks like people who don't deserve it are getting all of the things, it's really easy to fall into that mindset Like wait a minute, I'm not going to, I'm not going to do. They're taking shortcuts, okay, and it's not fair. And so it's easy to fall into that mindset when you're watching things happen around you and I'm really big on justice, I really have a sense of always doing the right thing. But you got to recognize that everybody doesn't. Everybody don't think that way, right? Everyone isn't about doing the right thing or advocating for others. A lot of people are in it for themselves. They advocate for one right. So even with that, we have to be careful that we don't fall into judgment, because everybody isn't built with us. We don't have the same mindset, the same thoughts, the same desires and all the things. So let us not grow weary of doing good.
Speaker 1:So I want to share three things that I do with my day to just to keep going, even when it's hard, even when things are tough. Again, I'm talking about, you know, maybe it's tough on the job, it could be your home, your home life, your marriage life, your kids, whatever right, just life is lifing. But just three things that we can do with our day, and I break my day into three components. The first way is the first part of my day is waking up, the second part is midday and the third part is just evening. Right, just like y'all, right.
Speaker 1:So in the waking up, the first thing that I do, and something that I challenge myself to do, is that I declare the day. So it means that when I get up, I don't get out of my bed and start cursing the day or cursing myself. I don't wake up and start going. Here I go, I can't stand Monday, oh, this job, I don't do any of that. I wake up and I start declaring that this is the day that I will see the goodness of the Lord. This day is going to yield all good things for me. All things are working together for my good. Thank you, lord, that today I'm going to be reminded of the apple of your eye.
Speaker 1:I start to bring scripture into my day, and I'm not even talking about prayer, this is just me speaking into the day, waking up with the mindset that sometimes when I come to my work calendar and I look at the meetings that I have and and what I'm doing is I'm already setting the expectations of what my day is going to be. But I'm using it, I'm aligning it back with God's word. It's important to do that because otherwise we get so worn out, like listen. There are days when I look at my calendar and some of those meetings I'm like, oh, will it just be? I don't want to deal with this person. But I don't let that come out of my mouth. I go oh Lord, I pray that in this meeting that you will give me your favor.
Speaker 1:Like all the things right, waking up. You know, take time in the morning to go through the process of waking yourself up. I know a lot of us, you know, especially if you have young kids, that you're. You know you end up rushing right Cause you've got to get people out the door, you got to feed people, got to get them on the bus, you got to get to work, all the things. But maybe for the rest of this quarter remember I said we're going to break things up by quarter so that we can realistically see more results, if you will. So this quarter means it ends in June, we're in Q2. So maybe for the rest of this quarter you put into practice of raking your days like this. You got to check your thoughts in the morning when you first wake up.
Speaker 1:Don't open your mouth and say anything that curses the day. If you open your mouth, maybe the first thing you say is thank God, I'm alive to see the day. Okay, just putting that into practice. That's the morning Again. Take your time, get yourself ready. As you're getting dressed, as you're getting showered like little things I do y'all, even as I'm getting showered, when I let that water hit me, I'm like thank you, lord cleansing me with this water. The same way, this water is cleansing me, you're washing my sins. I'm repenting in the shower. I'm doing all the things right. As I'm getting dressed, I'm thanking him. You know for thank you, lord, for I can afford this lotion. Thank you, lord. I mean all the things. So it changes your mindset before you even get started with your day. So that's the waking up part of the day.
Speaker 1:Again, we're talking about not growing weary of doing good, and all of these things. As you start to put them into practice, it does shift your mindset. You're not focused on all the things and all the people doing wrong. All of a sudden you're kind of consumed with all the things that are going well and watching God work in your life, because you know, in due season we will reap. But we got to plant the right seeds, including us, right, so all right.
Speaker 1:So the next part of the day is I call it midday. This is when you've been at the job. Or, again, if you work from home or you work out of the office, whatever it is, or you know, even if you're not working right now, you need to carve out a part of your day to do this Midday. So midday typically comes after you've gone through some meetings, you've heard the things and all the things, right, but midday is where I feel like I'm under more. I feel like I'm more. I'm not under attack, y'all, because I don't claim that from me, I'm protected, okay. But midday is where you've allowed other people to pour into you in different ways, is where, like, gossip happens or frustration happens or things like that, like those icky things start to happen.
Speaker 1:So midday is when I go into Psalm 40. So maybe for you it's a different Psalm. Just telling you what I do midday, I typically do this like after lunch and I'll go into Psalm 40 and I'll release that word and you know, sometimes I'm feeling a little weary, tired, mentally exhausted, right, because I would have dealt with the morning. So midday is when I come back to the Lord and I start putting presenting things before him. So if someone is going crazy on the job, or your kid's going crazy, like you know, if you're a teen mom and you get those texts from school where they got to do the event that night and you're finding out at two o'clock, like all the things, right, or maybe you know if you're in the job market and you, you know, by midday is where you're getting those rejection, or maybe you lost a project or all the things.
Speaker 1:But regardless of what the day structure looked like, midday, around the lunch, lunch hour, is where I start going back to the Lord and I start, I go into Psalm 40 or I start repenting of oh Lord, forgive me for what I just said, forgive me for the thoughts I had, because, y'all, life is lifing. So I do that. And then how I close my day is evening time. So when I'm closing my day, when I'm laying in my bed, before I go to sleep, the thing that I do right before I go to sleep is, first of all, I asked the Lord to speak to me through my dreams. So for him to do that, I have to kind of dump the day right. So I released everything that happened during the day.
Speaker 1:I have a grateful heart. I repent of anything I said or did or thought. I let go of any doubt or fear. And then I started saying Lord, I know I'm going to see you in the like. I, you know, I hear from God. I'm not a person that's going to say I don't hear from. I hear from God all day long. It God is speaking to us all day long. Holy Spirit is tapping us on the shoulder all day long. It's just a lot of us refuse to listen. Or you're waiting for him to confirm it and then confirm it again and he's like hello, I'm talking to you but you're not listening.
Speaker 1:So something I do at night is I quiet the night down so that and I mean listen I don't take texts, I don't do phone calls, there's just a period of the night where I have to. I switch over and do this on your phone, put it on, do not disturb before you go to bed and then just go into a position of being gratefulness. And the only thing that I ask at night is the only prayer. That or prayer point that I have at nighttime is Lord, I want to see you, I want to hear from you, I can't wait to hear from you. Thank you for speaking to me in my dreams. I'm open. I want to hear from you. Holy Spirit, thank you for correcting me, thank you for blessing me. Like that's the position that I have and it's so amazing, and then you know it's kind of, the day starts over.
Speaker 1:So those three things, so all of these things, is to say that you have to have some kind of discipline, even when things are hard. Like I said, if you get tired of doing the right thing, you will find you will look for ways to do shortcuts If you're trying to, um, build a business and it's not working out as fast as you think it should. Um, and then you start to look for shortcuts to entice people. Um, and it doesn't work out right, right, uh, you know that's what I mean. Like you might get weary of trying to build up your business and you're looking for a shortcut. It says in, in due season we will reap right Seasons right, it didn't say tomorrow, right Seasons. And then the encouragement is for us not to give up.
Speaker 1:Also, I want to remind y'all we have our prayer twice today, thursday, and so I encourage you if you're in that season where you feel like, man, things are hard, listen, things are hard right now. Okay, even if this is a season of winning, you still have to maintain that it is still very hard to maintain the win, okay, so no one is no one isn't. You know, you might see smiles on people's faces, but we're all dealing with you know, how? How do we, how do we hold on, how we keep going? So I hope that helped y'all. Like I said, I just wanted to share the kind of the way I bucket my days. Again, it's morning, so we've already done the morning part. I'm here, you know, here praying and you know, and learning and doing life with y'all, and I just hope that this will encourage you to keep going, even when it's hard.
Speaker 1:So, lord, I thank you for your teaching this morning. Thank you, holy Spirit, for reminding us that everything that we need you have already provided, and we thank you. We are grateful for this day. We thank you for reminding us that we have access to you all day long, and so I pray that every person under the sound of my voice who's standing in need of a word, a special word or blessing from you, that they will receive that today, lord, we give over this day to you. We thank you for all of the favor and all of the blessings that you have already laid before us, but we're claiming that now we're standing in agreement with what heaven says, that this is our day and that you will bless us in this day, that you'll show us where to go and who to speak to.
Speaker 1:We ask, lord, god, that you'll forgive us for anything that we have said or done or thought, anything that is blocking us from hearing from you. We want to hear you clearly. I pray, lord, god, that this day is a day full of joy. We will observe that with our hearts, we'll feel happy, we'll feel relieved. No tension, no worry, lord God. That we'll feel even lighter on our feet, lord God, that will allow us to be able to hear from you and be more creative and to really lock in on your voice. If our minds are filled with worry and doubt and all the other things, lord God, we won't be able to hear you.
Speaker 1:Lord, I pray for every person who's in their car driving, lord God, now to their jobs, or kids on the buses, or your bus drivers, or anyone right now in traffic we're about to get in traffic that you will take them safely to their destination and bring them safely back home. Thank you, lord God, for all and everything. Thank you for our praying team, thank you for our intercessors. We thank you for our families and our friends. Thank you for this day, lord God, that you have marked this a special day and that you will bless us and we will see and experience it today, and all these things we ask in your holy name, lord Amen. Isn't that awesome y'all?
Speaker 1:So I hope that this encourages you to keep going, even when it's hard, even when it looks like it don't make any sense. We don't see God's hand in everything, but I know his hand is in everything. Okay, I don't need to see his hand in everything to know that he's in everything. I know that he's in everything and I know that all things are working together for my good. That's just a fact, okay. So I want to encourage you to remember that all things are working together for your good, even when it looks like it makes no sense, when you lose the opportunity and the bills are piling up, that the Lord will use that as an opportunity to show you that he's still your father and he is your provider. I want that for you. I want us to have, honestly, a heart of joy to just remember that, even when it's hard, this is his finest hour.
Speaker 1:Amen, like listen, god is God and God is good, but when it's hard he is great. I love to see him show up when things are hard in our lives, because most of us, all of us we need that. We need to see you show up, lord. We need to see you show up in all of our lives when it's hard. So that brings us to our close. I hope you have an amazing Thursday y'all. Use our prayer phone line, use the resources y'all, please don't forget to like and share the video so that other people can see and watch this and be blessed. I thank you. Please take care of yourself today and have an amazing Thursday. God bless you and I will be back next week.
