WEBVTT 00:00:00.001 --> 00:00:05.000 I want to talk to you about something that has been dear to my heart for a long time. 00:00:05.000 --> 00:00:10.000 It's probably one of my favorite things to preach about because there's so much on it. 00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:33.000 I've been titled this morning "The Guarantee of Glory" and it has to do with the fact that whoever God has chosen, whoever He has brought to Himself, He will never let them go. Never. 00:00:33.000 --> 00:00:43.000 To kind of get a start, I want you to turn to Philippians chapter 1. 00:00:43.000 --> 00:00:48.000 I want to read verses 3 through 6. 00:00:48.000 --> 00:01:05.000 The Philippians seemed like a particular people that Paul had just to put a real love form that seemed to excel anyone else that I read about that he wrote about. 00:01:05.000 --> 00:01:14.000 And he says in verse 3, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." So just think about that. 00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:40.000 Think about what a joy it is to be a people that the Apostle Paul would say something like this about,"I thank God every time I remember you." I sort of feel like that about you folks here over the years that whenever my mind goes back to remembering times I've been here, I want to thank God for letting me have the remembrance of so many good times and so much joy and being around you. 00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:45.000 What a compliment it is to any group of people and I do thank that of you. 00:01:45.000 --> 00:01:52.000 I thank God when I remember you in my mind and in my prayers and my thoughts. 00:01:52.000 --> 00:02:09.000 He says, "Always in every prayer of mine for you, making requests with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day of the Old Noun." And then he says something really here what I want to focus on this morning. 00:02:09.000 --> 00:02:23.000 "Being confident in this very thing that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Isn't that a glorious thing? 00:02:23.000 --> 00:02:24.000 Amen to that. 00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:26.000 God's not finished. 00:02:26.000 --> 00:02:28.000 God will not let you go. 00:02:28.000 --> 00:02:31.000 He will complete what He has started in you. 00:02:31.000 --> 00:02:33.000 So may God help us this morning. 00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:39.000 Father in heaven, bless, O Father. Bless as we look at the Word of God today. 00:02:39.000 --> 00:02:43.000 Father, increase our faith, help our unbelief. 00:02:43.000 --> 00:02:54.000 And Lord, I don't know but one way to do that is for as we're concerned and that is to go to the Word of God because faith comes by hearing by the Word of God. 00:02:54.000 --> 00:02:56.000 So Lord, we come to your Word this morning. 00:02:56.000 --> 00:02:59.000 Lord, with great expectation. 00:02:59.000 --> 00:03:03.000 Lord, this is what brought us to you to start with. 00:03:03.000 --> 00:03:09.000 And I pray it will keep us and hold us up as you speak to us through your Word, Christ's name. 00:03:09.000 --> 00:03:10.000 Amen. 00:03:10.000 --> 00:03:17.000 Paul is very confident in this, he says, being confident in this very thing that God which began a good work in these people. 00:03:17.000 --> 00:03:19.000 He would finish it. 00:03:19.000 --> 00:03:21.000 He would not leave it undone. 00:03:21.000 --> 00:03:27.000 And what God has Himself has begun, God will finish. 00:03:27.000 --> 00:03:31.000 There's even in this day many who do not believe this. 00:03:31.000 --> 00:03:36.000 And I've met people over the years who don't believe in the security of a believer. 00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:40.000 As some even vigorously oppose it, I can't imagine why. 00:03:40.000 --> 00:03:48.000 But even a casual reader of Scripture, how can you escape the fact that this is preached over and over and over again? 00:03:48.000 --> 00:03:50.000 And re-emphasize. 00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:53.000 Everywhere you search in Scripture, you see this. 00:03:53.000 --> 00:04:01.000 And what few references can even be found where somebody can even twist, or turn, or bend a little bit, they would say the opposite. 00:04:01.000 --> 00:04:03.000 It's not there. 00:04:03.000 --> 00:04:12.000 It makes you even seem at first like it may not be seen, but as you read and look at it, you find out this is never contradicted. 00:04:12.000 --> 00:04:22.000 And no matter what anyone says, most of those who think a person can lose their salvation, it seems to me they want by sight. 00:04:22.000 --> 00:04:29.000 Not by the Word of God, because the Word of God preaches the security of the believer everywhere. 00:04:29.000 --> 00:04:37.000 And the only way I could ever see a person even thinking a person, or a person who's really a child of God losing their salvation, he'd have to walk by sight. 00:04:37.000 --> 00:04:41.000 That is, he'd have to observe the way people look. 00:04:41.000 --> 00:04:44.000 Rather than what the Bible says, rather than what God says. 00:04:44.000 --> 00:04:51.000 And not by the faith of what they observe from the Scriptures, and what the Scriptures say about a true child of God. 00:04:51.000 --> 00:04:59.000 So they've seen things in his life where people walked with God, or it seemed they did, but later fell away. 00:04:59.000 --> 00:05:03.000 Quit trusting in God, became even apostate. 00:05:03.000 --> 00:05:14.000 And then they judge by this, by sight, "Hey, he lost his salvation." But that's judging by sight. We don't see what's in the heart of a man. 00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:20.000 You know, that's the way man judges. He judges by sight. God looks upon the heart. 00:05:20.000 --> 00:05:31.000 And when God looks upon the heart, he says, "I have lost none." But man looks upon an outward appearance. He may see all sorts of things that's not really right. 00:05:31.000 --> 00:05:36.000 Remember, who's more righteous looking than the Pharisees? 00:05:36.000 --> 00:05:39.000 I mean, they look like painted supplicers. 00:05:39.000 --> 00:05:44.000 You know, they were beautiful on the outside, but inside full of dead men's bones, right? 00:05:44.000 --> 00:05:47.000 So we can't judge. We're not able to see the heart. 00:05:47.000 --> 00:05:50.000 And thank God we can't. 00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:54.000 You know, I would hate to know somebody could read my mind, but you do. 00:05:54.000 --> 00:05:57.000 I know what exactly we're thinking all the time. 00:05:57.000 --> 00:06:02.000 And other times I think maybe we'd be good if they could. 00:06:02.000 --> 00:06:08.000 So I don't know about these things. God's wise, he chose for us not to have that ability. 00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:13.000 So we judge, and we must judge events in time by the Word of God. 00:06:13.000 --> 00:06:22.000 We judge God's Word by what we see and what we think it should be because of what we saw by natural eyes. 00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:37.000 But someone appears to be a Christian and loved God, and when they suddenly or even gradually fall away and no longer seem to be a Christian, this is not proof at all that he ever was a true born-again believer. 00:06:37.000 --> 00:06:47.000 In fact, one of the greatest assurances we have that we are a believer is this, that the believer will hold out to the end. 00:06:47.000 --> 00:06:52.000 He will not give up. He will not fade away and leave God. 00:06:52.000 --> 00:07:09.000 And so I will try to go through this and just preach everything I know this morning that I have written down here to let you see the glory of salvation being a guarantee, a real guarantee of glory. 00:07:09.000 --> 00:07:14.000 A profession of faith and good works is not necessarily being one of the true Christians we've said before. 00:07:14.000 --> 00:07:28.000 I once had an ongoing conversation with an evangelist over this, another evangelist that I was writing back and forth to, and he started using the proof that a person could lose their salvation. 00:07:28.000 --> 00:07:34.000 And speaking of Judas, Judas Iscariot, he said Judas was a preacher. 00:07:34.000 --> 00:07:40.000 Judas loved the gospel, yet fell away. He lost his salvation and perished. 00:07:40.000 --> 00:07:47.000 But what proof does he have that Judas loved God? What proof does he have that he lost salvation? 00:07:47.000 --> 00:07:54.000 None. He was just reading about what happened to Judas and by sight, by what looking. 00:07:54.000 --> 00:07:58.000 Not that thing will done since he was a true believer at heart. 00:07:58.000 --> 00:08:02.000 And he refused all scripture which would go against that. 00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:07.000 Judas fell away because Judas never was a true believer. 00:08:07.000 --> 00:08:12.000 Nobody that falls away was ever a true believer. 00:08:12.000 --> 00:08:16.000 The Apostle John tells us why Judas and all apostates fall away. 00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:20.000 And he tells us his language that even a baby could understand. 00:08:20.000 --> 00:08:35.000 He says something like this, John 2.1, 1 John 2.1, he says, "They went out from us, they left us, but they were not of us. 00:08:35.000 --> 00:08:45.000 For if they had been of us," you can't get any plainer than that,"if they were, they would not have continued with us. 00:08:45.000 --> 00:08:54.000 But they went out that it might be made manifest that they were not all of us." And so here it is, you can't get any plainer than that to start with. 00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:58.000 But there's so many other scriptures that talk about this. 00:08:58.000 --> 00:09:02.000 We read this also in John 17 verse 12. 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:10.000 Jesus said, "While I was with them in the world," and this is the high priest in the prayer of Jesus,"I kept them in thy name. 00:09:10.000 --> 00:09:28.000 Those that thou gaveth me," not Judas, those you gave me,"I have kept." And he says, "And none of them is lost, but the son of perdition." What does the son of perdition mean? 00:09:28.000 --> 00:09:30.000 Those are the sons of God. 00:09:30.000 --> 00:09:43.000 "To them gave he power to become sons of God because they believed on his name." Judas is called right here, "non but the son of perdition." Why does that mean, "son of destruction"? 00:09:43.000 --> 00:09:46.000 Now the scriptures might be fulfilled. 00:09:46.000 --> 00:09:58.000 Judas was such a good, false Christian that every disciple makes a statement whenever Jesus was talking about someone betraying him. 00:09:58.000 --> 00:10:02.000 Let me just read something to you in Matthew 26, 14 through 25. 00:10:02.000 --> 00:10:42.000 In Matthew 26, 14 says this,"Then one of the twelve called Genesis Carrot, went to the chief priests, and said to them,'What will you give me, and I will deliver him unto you.' And they coveted with him for thirty pieces of silver." And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. 00:10:42.000 --> 00:11:12.000 Now the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying,"For we'll tell that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover, and I'm going to skip down a few verses." And it says, "And the disciples of the dead of Jesus had appointed them, and they made rid of the Passover." Now when the evening was coming, he sat down with the twelve. 00:11:12.000 --> 00:11:19.000 Let me see if I can find my place here. 00:11:19.000 --> 00:11:40.000 "And as they did eat, he said, 'Verily I said to you, that one of you shall betray me.' And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, 'Lord, is it Judas?'" They didn't say that, did they? 00:11:40.000 --> 00:11:42.000 He was pretty good. 00:11:42.000 --> 00:12:02.000 They said, "Lord, is it me? Is it I? Is it I?" And the answer said, "He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.""The Son of Man goeth as it is written of him, but warder that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed? 00:12:02.000 --> 00:12:24.000 It had been good for that man if he had not been born." Then Judas which betrayed him answered and said, now you listen to this, you used to talk about the Epicrit, Judas which betrayed him answered and said, "Master, is it I?" He had already done this. He had already met with these people. 00:12:24.000 --> 00:12:34.000 "He said unto him, Thou hast said." We can read another part of this in Mark. 00:12:39.000 --> 00:12:45.000 14, I can find my place here. 00:12:45.000 --> 00:13:02.000 In Mark chapter 14, 10-11,"And Judas the scared, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray him unto them. 00:13:02.000 --> 00:13:19.000 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money, and he saw how he might conveniently betray him." 18, "And they said, and as they said, and did he," this is later on, he had already done this. 00:13:19.000 --> 00:13:28.000 This is what I tell you, this is already done before he said, Lord is it I? No one full well in his heart he had done it. 00:13:28.000 --> 00:13:37.000 "One of you that which eateth with me shall betray me." And they began to be sorrowful in saying, one of you is it I and so forth. 00:13:37.000 --> 00:13:48.000 And the reason I read Jesus to show you how you can be, all the disciples were totally fooled by Jesus saying, is it I? Is it I? 00:13:48.000 --> 00:13:55.000 He had conspired with them. He was so convincing that every one of the others asked, was it him? 00:13:55.000 --> 00:13:58.000 They questioned their own salvation. 00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:09.000 But in Matthew 7, we find these words, and this is where I think fits Jesus to a T. 00:14:09.000 --> 00:14:26.000 And Jesus says here in Matthew 7, 21-23,"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 00:14:26.000 --> 00:14:36.000 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied, we preach in thy name. 00:14:36.000 --> 00:14:45.000 And in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name have done many wonderful works." Lord, you should have seen how I prayed that day. 00:14:45.000 --> 00:14:49.000 Lord, you should have heard the message I gave. 00:14:49.000 --> 00:14:54.000 Lord, I've done so many things in thy name, I've done many, it's like the Pharisees. 00:14:54.000 --> 00:14:56.000 Lord, you know, I tithe. 00:14:56.000 --> 00:14:58.000 You know, I've done things. 00:14:58.000 --> 00:15:01.000 I keep the Sabbath, I do all these things. 00:15:01.000 --> 00:15:05.000 I'm not like that publican over there. 00:15:05.000 --> 00:15:08.000 Publican's over there, he's so totally different. 00:15:08.000 --> 00:15:11.000 He's pounding up on his chest, can't even look up. 00:15:11.000 --> 00:15:13.000 He just thinks so little of himself. 00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:21.000 Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner, begging for forgiveness, begging the Lord to have mercy upon him. 00:15:21.000 --> 00:15:28.000 Or the others just telling Lord all the good things he's done, bragging about what he is. 00:15:28.000 --> 00:15:32.000 That's the same thing we see people like Judas. 00:15:32.000 --> 00:15:47.000 Many say to me, "Lord, we preached in your name.""In thy name we cast out devils, in thy name we've done so many wonderful works." And then we'll have to confess to them,"I never knew you. I don't know who you are. 00:15:47.000 --> 00:15:52.000 Depart from me, you either work iniquity, but you see what he said. 00:15:52.000 --> 00:15:57.000 He didn't say I once knew you, but then I had to let you go because you turned away. 00:15:57.000 --> 00:16:03.000 You were once mine, but I couldn't keep you." Didn't say any of those things. 00:16:03.000 --> 00:16:08.000 This is what the Bible shows an unbeliever really is. 00:16:08.000 --> 00:16:10.000 He's one that will not stay. 00:16:10.000 --> 00:16:14.000 He will not follow the Lord. 00:16:14.000 --> 00:16:32.000 Jesus said, "I never knew you. Depart from me." Well, we read these things striking that people would make even the statement that someone like that was once a believer but fell away. 00:16:32.000 --> 00:16:35.000 He never knew them at all. 00:16:35.000 --> 00:16:39.000 Those who don't fall away are those who are saved. 00:16:39.000 --> 00:16:44.000 Endurance is one of the great proofs of redemption. 00:16:44.000 --> 00:17:00.000 Job said in Job 17 verse 9, I love this passage, says, "The righteous also shall hold on their way." You know, Job was probably the first book, the oldest book of the Bible. 00:17:00.000 --> 00:17:02.000 He didn't have Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. 00:17:02.000 --> 00:17:07.000 He didn't even have Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and others. 00:17:07.000 --> 00:17:13.000 And he already was saved in this van, then in that time when he was living then. 00:17:13.000 --> 00:17:19.000 "The righteous shall hold on their way." Adam. 00:17:19.000 --> 00:17:27.000 "I want his way, and he that has clean hands shall even be stronger and stronger." Isn't that amazing? 00:17:27.000 --> 00:17:33.000 Not only they hold on their way, but as they hold on their way, their grip is better and better as they go. 00:17:33.000 --> 00:17:36.000 They can hold a little bit stronger. 00:17:36.000 --> 00:17:42.000 They have more confidence that God will keep them and preserve them. 00:17:42.000 --> 00:17:45.000 And it's like the path of the just. 00:17:45.000 --> 00:17:47.000 You know what the Bible says as we grow older? 00:17:47.000 --> 00:17:53.000 The path of the just, the way we walk in life, the way we look at the things of God through faith. 00:17:53.000 --> 00:18:01.000 The path of the just as the shining light, the shiniest more and more in the perfect day. 00:18:01.000 --> 00:18:10.000 This is just glorious to every believer that it's not getting worse to a believer as he grows older than the Lord. 00:18:10.000 --> 00:18:11.000 Sure he has his ups and downs. 00:18:11.000 --> 00:18:13.000 We all have troubles and trials in life. 00:18:13.000 --> 00:18:16.000 But through every trial we gain strength. 00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:21.000 Through every trouble we're increased and we're more blessed. 00:18:21.000 --> 00:18:34.000 As we grow older we begin to see,"God, you've kept me through all these things." As John Newton says, "Grace has brought me safe this far, and grace will lead me home." That's where we stand, brothers and sisters. 00:18:34.000 --> 00:18:40.000 As it's not getting worse, the path to the just grows brighter and brighter. 00:18:40.000 --> 00:18:50.000 As she realizes, "My God's able to keep me, and he will keep me." You know, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. 00:18:50.000 --> 00:18:53.000 I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. 00:18:53.000 --> 00:18:57.000 There's a surety to that. There's no negative to that. 00:18:57.000 --> 00:19:00.000 There's the, "God will keep me. God will preserve me. 00:19:00.000 --> 00:19:20.000 God will hold me up. Keep me from falling." And it gets better and better, the more you study this doctrine, the more of it you learn, the more you just revel in it, and just praise God for the glory of it. 00:19:20.000 --> 00:19:23.000 That God does love us. God does keep us. 00:19:23.000 --> 00:19:26.000 Salvation is the work of God. 00:19:26.000 --> 00:19:29.000 When God starts, God finishes. 00:19:29.000 --> 00:19:39.000 Romans 8, 29, 30, as we journey through this lesson, it's one of the most glorious teachings of all the Scripture. 00:19:39.000 --> 00:19:54.000 And Romans 8, 29, and 30 says,"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 00:19:54.000 --> 00:19:59.000 Moreover," and boy, this is the way God works. 00:19:59.000 --> 00:20:06.000 "Moreover," he says, not only that, in other words,"but whom he did predestinate, them he also called. 00:20:06.000 --> 00:20:10.000 And whom he called, them he also justified. 00:20:10.000 --> 00:20:19.000 And whom he justified, them he also," he puts it in the past, "glorified." They're not going to fade away. They're not going to disappear. 00:20:19.000 --> 00:20:21.000 They're not going to leave the scene. 00:20:21.000 --> 00:20:25.000 They're sure of God. To them it believed on him. 00:20:25.000 --> 00:20:31.000 To them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them it believed upon his name. 00:20:31.000 --> 00:20:38.000 So we have God predestinating, planning, doing the work, finishing the work to the end. 00:20:38.000 --> 00:20:51.000 There's a promise to those whose names are written even, as we say in the Book of Life, that they would be clothed in white, that God will keep them. 00:20:51.000 --> 00:21:01.000 As I read these verses in Revelation, it becomes apparent to me that it's just, it's saying the same thing that we see in Romans. 00:21:01.000 --> 00:21:14.000 "He that overcomes us in Revelation 3.15, the same shall be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life. 00:21:14.000 --> 00:21:23.000 But I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels." A believer's name will not be blotted out. 00:21:23.000 --> 00:21:26.000 It will not be taken away. 00:21:26.000 --> 00:21:55.000 Of those that leave God, those that follow after the beast in Revelation, those that follow the dragon, it says this,"And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him whose names are written." In the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, those who worship the dragon, their names are not there. 00:21:55.000 --> 00:21:58.000 Never were. 00:21:58.000 --> 00:22:12.000 Revelation 17 verse 8, "The beast that thou sawest and was and is not shall ascend out of the bottom of the pit, and go into perdition, and they that dwell on the earth shall wander." I mean, they just wandered after him. 00:22:12.000 --> 00:22:17.000 He's amazingly spectacular in their sight. 00:22:17.000 --> 00:22:38.000 They says, "Whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was and is not and yet is." The true children of God stay with God. 00:22:38.000 --> 00:23:02.000 Matthew 24, 24 says, "For they shall arise false Christ and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, and so much that if it were possible." Now, when I say somebody says something like, "If it were possible," I think it's not possible, right? 00:23:02.000 --> 00:23:16.000 Because they say, "If it were possible, this could happen, but it is not possible." It says that very same thing, that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 00:23:16.000 --> 00:23:28.000 So this verse indicates very strongly that the only thing that keeps any of us from falling is that we are the elect of God. 00:23:28.000 --> 00:23:37.000 All God's children overcome because they are of God, not because of their strength, not because they're mighty. 00:23:37.000 --> 00:23:43.000 They're mighty through God, pulling out of strongholds and the fact that they're children of God. 00:23:43.000 --> 00:24:05.000 But listen to what it says, "Even the weakest overcome." 1 John 4, verse 4 says this, "Ye are of God, little children." And then it says a spectacular thing here,"And have overcome him." They've overcome Satan, the devil. 00:24:05.000 --> 00:24:06.000 Why? 00:24:06.000 --> 00:24:12.000 Because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. 00:24:12.000 --> 00:24:17.000 That's not anything of great of you, it's great of who is in you. 00:24:17.000 --> 00:24:25.000 What a wonderful thing to know that because Christ is in me, I will overcome. 00:24:25.000 --> 00:24:28.000 I consider myself a little child. 00:24:28.000 --> 00:24:30.000 This is for spiritual things of concern. 00:24:30.000 --> 00:24:32.000 I'm in great need. 00:24:32.000 --> 00:24:38.000 In fact, I can't do without the nourishment from the Lord that he gives me through the Scriptures and through the Word of God. 00:24:38.000 --> 00:24:44.000 And the encouragement that God gives us, we're all like little children in that respect. 00:24:44.000 --> 00:24:50.000 So what an amazing thing that's not in me that keeps myself, but God will keep me. 00:24:50.000 --> 00:24:54.000 The only reason I overcome this is because I'm a child of God. 00:24:54.000 --> 00:24:58.000 I love to think of it this way. 00:24:58.000 --> 00:25:03.000 You know, Charles Spurgeon wrote a book on the checkbook of faith. 00:25:03.000 --> 00:25:13.000 And I thought about that, that when God writes eternal life on a believer, that check will not bounce on the day of judgment. 00:25:13.000 --> 00:25:15.000 It's strong. 00:25:15.000 --> 00:25:19.000 What God has done in you will preserve you to the end. 00:25:19.000 --> 00:25:31.000 In the book of the four 18 Paul says,"And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. 00:25:31.000 --> 00:25:38.000 There will be glory forever and ever. Amen." The Lord will. He will preserve me. 00:25:38.000 --> 00:25:43.000 So I'm counting on, I don't know about you, so I hope I should be the only hope you have. 00:25:43.000 --> 00:25:48.000 I'm leaning on, I really am leaning on the everlasting arms. 00:25:48.000 --> 00:25:50.000 It's all my hope, it's all my joy. 00:25:50.000 --> 00:25:52.000 It's the only thing I can think will preserve me. 00:25:52.000 --> 00:26:27.000 He says to 2 Timothy 1.12,"For I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded, fully persuaded, that he is able to keep that which I've committed to him against that day." Oh, what a glory to know that these things we're learning, these things give us the confidence, the faith, the trust in God, that we're fully persuaded that the love of God that's been placed in us will keep us and protect us and keep us into that day. 00:26:27.000 --> 00:26:47.000 Jude 4, Jude 24 says,"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." I think one of the most wonderful passages that tells the believer how to act in light of this is this,"But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
