In this episode Brenton and Jenna had a chance to sit down at the office with Pneumatic Division driver Roy Wallace. Roy has been an Owner-Operator partner with Autumn Transport for 8 years, and has successfully participated in our Lease Purchase Ownership Program not once, but twice, paying off two trucks in eight years! Our discussion with Roy includes his story of losing his father due to diabetes, and how that became the motivation to becoming aware of his own diabetes, and the dangers he faced if he didn’t make some drastic lifestyle changes. When Roy started his journey to better health, he weighed 300 lbs, and in four months after losing his dad, he lost 100 lbs! He has since stared a Facebook group called "Type 2 For the Long Haul", where he shares health articles, food recipes and supports other drivers who are living with diabetes.
