SPEAKER_06

This episode contains mature language and adult situations. Listen to the cowards of the list.

SPEAKER_15

I am in charge. I am shadowed. Shadows and silence. Growing stronger with your pain and suffering. It was the poison of your darkest thoughts that summoned you to me. I am a shadow dweller. Your tormentor. Your only companion until the abyss swallows you all. I have ripped over the portal between the nether round and your fragile world. My brothers and I are unbound at last. And we come to enslaved, to torment, to save the chorus of your screams. As you drown, we stay. As you start now, stories.

SPEAKER_02

A boy who was death.

SPEAKER_15

Some say death wears a black cloak. Others say he carries a scythe. But sometimes death comes in a form you never expect. Like the face of a child, and when he takes your hand, there's no running or escaping.

SPEAKER_00

The one with the black hair? I swear he had black eyes. Yeah, I know the one. I've seen him here and there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

No parents, no family. Nobody knows where he came from. I think he's a squatter or hooked on drugs.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I heard from Grace, who told Mary that that boy was over Harold's house the other day, talking to him on his porch.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, so what's the big deal? What the hell would Mr. Sims even have to talk about with that boy?

SPEAKER_00

But after that boy left, the paper boy threw a newspaper and accidentally hit Harlard. So he gets off his bike to go and apologize. Harlow didn't even budge. So he shakes him, no response. Paramedics were called and said he died from a cardiac arrest. Died right there on his front porch. Then remember a month ago, Miss Stapleton, that boy was was seen leaving her house and she died in her sleep. Maybe it's not a coincidence. And every time he shows up, somebody somebody dies.

SPEAKER_11

How'd you get in here?

SPEAKER_13

Are you lost? Are you looking for your parents?

SPEAKER_11

I think you know what and who I am, Mr. Templeton.

SPEAKER_13

No, no, I ain't ready. I got some life left to live. I want to be around for my granddaughters first birthday. You ain't what I expected. I thought you'd be in a hooded black cloak and such. Bony hands. Scythe.

SPEAKER_11

Ready now. Your time is up. I come in many forms. I choose a child. People feel more at ease when it's a child. Come on. I'll hold your hand. It won't hurt that much.

SPEAKER_09

The black-haired boy smiled. His eyes were black as pitch. His white complexion stood out in the hospital room. He looked to be around ten years old, a faded t-shirt with ripped faded blue jeans. He grabbed Mr. Templeton's hand as he drew close. The boy bent over his mouth and began to suck his soul out. The boy was inhaling his very essence, his life force. Mr. Templeton began shaking and began choking. He was trying to take breaths, but the boy was sucking it out. Like a boa constrictor suffocating its prey. Blood trickled out of the old man's mouth as the boy feasted, savoring every last drop.

SPEAKER_10

I saw him, swear to God, standing by old Mrs. Palmer's porch right before she kicked it.

SPEAKER_08

Ooh, spooky little boy. Maybe he's just a creepy orphan.

SPEAKER_10

Is Igenina no whites, no pupils, just black, freaked me right the fuck out.

SPEAKER_12

Like a motherfucking shark?

SPEAKER_10

No, worse. When he looked my way, it sent shivers down my spine. Like someone walked over my grave.

SPEAKER_07

Hello, who is it? Are you the person I called to deliver my medications? Aren't you a bit young to be working?

SPEAKER_11

You don't have to be afraid, Mrs. Carter. The pain's going to stop. You won't be needing your meds anymore.

SPEAKER_07

Why not? Who are you? You're not here for my pills.

SPEAKER_11

I have gone by many names in many different cultures. The Grim Reaper, Death, the Ferryman to the Underworld. It's time to go, Mrs. Carter.

SPEAKER_09

The boy moved in closer to the old woman and took her hand. He leaned over her and tilted her head back. He grabbed her throat and opened her mouth and began to suck her soul. She began to convulse as he drained her dry.

SPEAKER_11

I'm afraid. That's good. You taste better that way. Fear is so delicious.

SPEAKER_09

Davidson said he'd be right over. They both arrive at the church, their lights bouncing off the building. They went into the big wooden doors with their flashlights. They find the boy sitting on top of Father Jacob. He was squirming. That's when they both drew their guns on him.

SPEAKER_12

Step away from him, son. Put your hands in the air where I can see him. Do it right fucking now.

SPEAKER_09

The boy slowly turns, calm, his eyes like twin black holes, his face bone white.

SPEAKER_11

It's his time. You can't stop death, Sheriff. You can only delay it a little.

SPEAKER_14

I'm serious, boy. I'm warning you. Step away from him now. I'm not gonna tell you again. Don't make me drop you. That's okay.

SPEAKER_12

I've been waiting for this for a long time.

SPEAKER_09

The boy starts sucking the priest's soul out of his body. The two men watch and honey with their guns drawn on it. The boy started walking towards them, and without even thinking, Deputy Landon shot the boy in the chest, but it didn't stop him. He kept coming. Towards both men, he walks past them. They don't can't stop him.

SPEAKER_11

Your clock's still ticking for now. But I'll see you again, gentlemen. You can count on it.

SPEAKER_12

What the hell are you doing here? What the fuck do you want?

SPEAKER_09

David then reached into his desk drawer and pulled out his gun and aimed it at the boy. His hands were shaking.

SPEAKER_11

Do you really think that will help, Sheriff? I can't be killed. I think you know that. For I am death incarnate. You know why I'm here and what I need to do.

SPEAKER_12

No, there's nothing wrong with me. I got years left. I feel fine. Get the fuck away from me.

SPEAKER_11

Ah, I'm sure that's all good and well. But I can smell the cancer festering inside your bones, your organs. It's spread throughout your entire body.

SPEAKER_09

The bull slowly walks toward Sheriff Davidson. He fires several shots point blank at the boy. The shots knocked him back, but he still kept coming. No blood, no holes, nothing. His black hollow eyes stared into the sheriff's eyes. He smiled. His pale white face leveled with the sheriff's. He grabbed his arm and squeezed. His other hand around his mouth. He stretched it open and began to swallow his soul. The sheriff tried to scream but couldn't.

SPEAKER_12

No, I gotta I got at least another 40 to 50 years left.

SPEAKER_11

Sometimes I make an exception.

SPEAKER_09

The sheriff stopped breathing and collapsed on his desk, spilling his whiskey. The boy smiled and walked out of the office and into the night.

SPEAKER_15

When death tires of the Reaper's clothes, it is sometimes reborn into innocence. A child of black eyes, with white pale skin. He who brings peace and comfort, but feeds on your pain and suffering. The clock of time is always ticking. There is no running, no escaping it. When he comes for you, you know your time is up.

SPEAKER_06

It's not a stop, stop.

SPEAKER_15

We've wandered deep enough for now. The shadows are closing in. Myself and my brothers, the bringers of darkness, retreat to our lair. But do not be deceived. Our hunger is never stayed. It will linger with us until we return. But no this and not high.

Whispers my name. Soften my ear.
