Hello, my Legion.
SPEAKER_05Tonight's tale follows a man named Brian Davis, who thought recording a few late night video vlogs would help him make sense of a strange encounter. He was wrong. What he captured wasn't clarity, but the unraveling of a life in real time. So turn off the lights, lock your door, and press play if you dare.
SPEAKER_09Something to look back on and say, yeah, that's when everything went sideways. That's when the shit show started. This is so fucking crazy. So I got bit. Yeah, bit. Not by an animal, but by a person. I was walking home from the bus stop, the same route I always take, and there was this guy near the underpass. I've seen him before, homeless, I think. He's always muttering to himself, pacing, smells like piss, scratching his arms like he's trying to peel something off. Well, tonight he stopped right in front of me and I tried to go around him. But he grabbed my sleeve and said something like, It's in the blood, it's in the blood. And before I could pull away, he lunged and sank his teeth into my forearm. I didn't even feel it at first. Just pressure, the heat, then pain. You crazy fuck? He looked at me like he was licking his lips, tasting my blood. I shoved him off and ran. I didn't look back. I cleaned the wound when I got home. Soap, alcohol, bandages, but it's already swollen. Red, angry looking. I kept replaying it in my head. The way his eyes looked, like he wasn't fully there. Like something else was steering. I don't know. Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe it was he was just sick or high or desperate. But I can't shake the feeling something is wrong. Anyway, I'll check back in tomorrow. Just needed to get this off my chest. Video log 2 Day 1 9 13 AM Good morning guys I didn't sleep much. The bite looks worse. I'll I'll show you. Sorry if you're screamish. But the skin around the bite is purple veiny. It's pussy and it's pulsing faintly. Yeah. That is not fucking normal. I got a fever. My head feels like it's full of boiling water. My joints ache. My stomach keeps twisting like I swallowed a fist. I tried calling urgent care, but the earliest appointment is three days out. Three days. I told them that it was a human bite, and they told me I needed to go to the ER. Who has the fucking money for that shit? So here we are. I keep thinking about the guy. His teeth were cracked and blackened. His breath smelt like straight up rot. And when he bit down, I swear he made this sound like I don't know, like a growl. But wet. Like something bubbling up deep from inside. I'm probably just myself out. It's probably just a regular infection. Alright, I'll update you guys later. I'm out. Videolog 3. Day one, 1158 p.m. Alright gang, I'm back. Things are getting weird. I slept earlier. Finally. But the dreams I had were insane. I saw the man who bit me. But he wasn't homeless anymore. He was clean, dressed in a suit, and smiling. He held out his hand and said, You're almost there. Then his jaw unhinged and his face split open like rotten fucking fruit. I woke up in a sweat and I was screaming. The fever's worse. I'm sweating through my clothes. My skin feels too tight. Like it's shrinking around me. The bite is throbbing in time with my heartbeat. I keep hearing things. Scratching in the walls. Footsteps in the hallway. Whispers under the floorboard. But when I check, there's nothing there. God, I must be really sick or losing my fucking mind. I'm starting to think I should have gone to the ER. Video log for day two 221 pm. Alright guys, I'm back. I'm really sick. I lost my appetite. I can't eat. Everything tastes wrong. Metallic. Bitter. Like chewing on pennies soaked in bleach. I tried soup, bread, fruit. Everything made me gag. I can't hold anything down without throwing up. But the weird thing. When I opened up the fridge, the raw meat, the package of ground beef I bought two days ago smelled good. Like really good. I didn't eat it. I'm not that far gone. But the smell hit me like a punch. My mouth was even fucking watering. My stomach growled so loud it scared me. I don't even know what's happening. And my eyes. My eyes look different too. The whites are turning yellow. My pupils look bigger. Or maybe it's the fever just messing with me. Guys I'm getting kinda scared. I don't want to admit it, but I am. The whole thing is really fucked up. I don't feel right. I need to find something for this infection. Maybe CVS has something I can get. Videolog 5 Day 2 1103 PM I found something. So I was scrolling through local news sites trying to see if anyone else had run-ins with that guy, and I found an article short, barely a paragraph, about a violent incident near an underpass last week. A man attacked two pedestrians, bit them. Both victims were hospitalized with severe infections. One of them died yesterday. The other one is still in critical condition. The article says the attacker was detained but escaped from the ambulance en route to the hospital. It was also reported that not only did he attack the ambulance driver, but the EMTs as well. One of them had bite marks on their arm and part of his face was eaten off. That means he's still out there. That means he bit other people. That means whatever is happening to me, it's not just an infection. What the hell is going on? God damn, this is so fucking crazy. Video log 6. Day 3 8 47 a.m. Alright guys, I'm back for another one. So I woke up on the kitchen floor. I don't remember going there. I don't remember anything after turning off the camera last night. But the fridge was open. The package of ground meaf had been torn apart. And there was blood on my hands. I didn't eat it. I swear. I I wouldn't do that. I'm not an animal. Besides, who the fuck eats raw hamburger meat anyway? But the evidence is right there. God, my teeth hurt. My gums feel swollen. Like something underneath is pushing outward. I keep smelling things I shouldn't be able to smell. The neighbor's dog? The garbage truck that three blocks away. The mold in the walls. Everything is sharper, clearer, louder. I don't think this is normal. What the fuck is happening to me?
SPEAKER_03Six twelve PM Videolog seven. My mom called. I I didn't answer. I I couldn't. My voice sounds wrong hoarse deep like like there's gravel stuck in my throat. I tried practicing before recording this. Hello. Hey mom, I'm I'm fine. But it all came out slurred. Like like my tongue doesn't fit in my mouth anymore. I don't want her to hear me like this. I I don't want anyone to it it didn't even sound like me. Day four. 103 AM My skin looks gray. Not metaphorically. Not I look sick. Actual gray. The veins under my skin are turning black. Reaching out from the bite like cracks on ice. My heartbeat is slower. I timed it. Thirty beats a minute. I should be unconscious. Or dead. But I feel awake. More awake than I've ever been. The hunger is constant now. Not for food, but for something warm. Something alive. I'm trying to fight it. I swear I am. But I don't know how much longer I can. Video log nine. Day four. Seven fifty five PM Someone knocked on my door today. Three slow knocks. Then silence. I didn't answer. I just stood there holding my breath. Listening. After a minute. I heard footsteps walking away. But they were normal footsteps. They were dragging.
unknownUneven.
SPEAKER_03Like whatever it was had broken bones. I looked through the people after they left. There was a smear of blood on the hallway floor. It smelt delicious. I think the others the ones who were bitten are changing too. I think they were looking for me. The hunger it's not just physical anymore. It's emotional. Spiritual.
unknownLike a collie.
SPEAKER_03I walked past the window earlier and saw a jogger go by. The pulse was visible in the neck. I pressed my hand against the glass. An emotion sinking my teeth into that spot. Feeling the war. Sat on the floor. And I rocked back and forth until the urge passed. But it always comes back stronger.
unknownGod help me.
SPEAKER_03Eleven fifty nine PM I'm back again. I don't look so hard do I? So my teeth are falling out. Not all of 'em, just the front ones. I feel like Jeff Goldboom in the movie The Fly. They loosen throughout the day, wiggling like baby teeth. Then tonight one dropped into the back of the state. While I was brushing. But here's the weird thing. New ones are growing in sharper ones. Pointed. Predatory. I can feel them pushing through my gums. I'm becoming something else. What's happening to me? Day six three forty PM. I don't know if I should keep making these vlogs. But I got to document it. So I smelled someone outside my door today. Not perfume. Not sweat but blood. Fresh. Someone cut themselves. Maybe a paper cut or a scraped knee. But the sand hit me like a drug. I pressed my ear to the door and listened. I could hear a heartbeat. It was fast, nervous, alive. But I stopped myself. I don't know how many more times I can resist. I can't stay here. Not like this. Not when there's people around. I need to go somewhere isolated to be alone. Somewhere I can't hurt anyone. There's an abandon factory at the edge of town. I used to explore it as a teenager. Nobody goes there anymore.
unknownI'm packing a bag.
SPEAKER_03Water. Clothes. Camera. Not that I think I need water or clothes. I want to keep documenting this. If I ever lose myself, maybe the footage will help someone understand. Maybe it'll warn them.
unknownI don't even know what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_03Eleven AM. So everybody did. I left. The streets are empty. I'm moving faster than I should be able to. My muscles feel efficient. Like they've been rewired. I can hear everything. The hum of the street lights. The rustle of rats in the storm drains. The breathing of a stray cat under a parked car. The world is alive in a way. I've never noticed before. It's almost beautiful. But I'm hungry. But I'm staying in focus. The factory's not too far away now. Three of thirteen? Five oh two AM. I saw them three of them walking down the street in the opposite direction. Their skin was gray like mine. Her eyes clouded and letters like sour milk. Or maybe they did and they just care. But we're the same now. Part of me wanted to follow them. Join them to belong. But another part. The part that still me kept walking. I don't know how long that part will last. But it's getting harder to think. My thoughts are becoming more cloudy. I made it guys. The factory is exactly how I remember it. Rusted metal. Broken windows. Graffiti from kids who thought they were edgy. Quiet. Empty. This will be my home now. At least until whatever happens next. My reflection in the broken glass is barely human anymore. My skin is cracked like leather. My jaw slightly hangs open because the new teeth don't fit right. But I'm still here somewhere inside I think feel seventeen day eight o'clock PM is getting hard to talk. My tongue feels heavy. My throat is dry. Words come out wrong. Fear is fading. Yes. My mom's voice. Day nine three twelve AM. I can't I can't talk much. Memories gone.
unknownSo big.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to hurt anyone. But the hunger is louder. Louder than me. I need to eat. I think this might be the last video. I feel the change inside taking everything. If someone finds this run. It's spreading. I'm not the only one infected. There are more of us now.
unknownDon't get bit.
SPEAKER_00Unsent draft. Day nine. Unknown time. Text file recovered from the camera's memory card.
SPEAKER_03I can feel my mind dissolving. Thoughts slipping like sand through broken fingers. I don't know my name anymore.
unknownI barely know words.
SPEAKER_03I only know hunger. So hungry. If you find this. Shoot me. I can do you all like this. Don't let me walk. I already gone.
SPEAKER_00The camera falls sideways on the concrete floor. A guttural growl echoes inside the factory.
SPEAKER_05Well, Brian learned the hard way that one tiny moment can chew its way through everything. You are a bite here, a fever there. And suddenly the hunger starts whispering louder than your own thoughts. Funny how fast a person can slide from unfine to ideat the neighbors. Choices have consequences, little wanderers. And some consequences don't stop at the skin. They keep going until there's nothing left but instinct, teeth, and the echo of who you used to be.
SPEAKER_02Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies as they are considered extremely dangerous.

SPEAKER_06Deep prize there you are and devour. In the pale moonlight, they shuffle and moan with a thirst for gold. Breaking down windows, bursting through doors. No prayers, no guns, no place to run. Once they start, they won't stop till it's done. They've stayed flashing with you. Shallow graves and mortgs they crawl to eat the hearts of one and all. The preacher screamed, the sheriff cried, the towel lit torches, but still they died. You can't kill what's already dead. They only stop when all have bled. The corpses come to take a bite. The corpses come to take a bite.
