After three years of war: A FiBL mission to Ukraine shows hopes and challenges
Today we hear an insight report from Ukraine. Nicolas Lefebvre and Toralf Richter from FiBL travelled there last December. As part of the Project QFTP (Quality Food Trade Programme in Ukraine), the two visited producers, processors, collection centres and exporters to find out more about the difficulties they face after nearly three years of war. After their return, we asked them about their impressions of the trip.
The aims of the project are to promote sustainable trade and create more and better jobs in the organic and dairy sector in Ukraine. This is to be achieved by strengthening the entrepreneurial competitiveness and capacities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project is led by FiBL, with other partners including Safoso AG, the Swiss Import Promotion Programme SIPPO, IFOAM Organics International and the Bioinstitut Czech Republic.
