Behind the Acronym: The People and Purspose of MedPlants4Vet
What is hidden behind the acronym MedPlants4Vet? In this episode, we explore the originstory of the COST Action MedPlants4Vet, a European network uniting researchers from diverse fields, practitioners, animal owners, industry representatives, and policymakers. Together, they are working to collect data on herbal veterinary medicine and to provide guidance for future regulations and licensing procedures of veterinary herbal remedies.
Host Phie Thanner, co-leader of MedPlants4Vet's Working Group 6 talks with Theresa Schlittenlacher (Chair), Marta Mendel (Vice-Chair) and Michael Walkenhorst (Grant Holder Scientific Representative) about the action’s goals, early achievements, and the challenges of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across Europe. They reveal how a shared vision and plenty of collaboration, can transform scattered expertise into a European knowledge hub for herbal veterinary medicine.
