Interview with Maestro Isidro Infante
Maestro Isidro Infante was born in Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, Puerto Rico. He originally wanted to follow his father's footsteps by studying pre-med to become a doctor, like his father. His destiny, however, had a different plan. His father influenced him into studying music. According to Maestro Isidro, his father would say, "Everyone needs music in their lives". By age of 15, he was already director of his own band Carpe Diem (live the moment). He went on to become a prolific and very successful Music Artist and Arranger. His music career expands 6 decades. He is the most famous and sought after arranger in the Genre of Salsa music. He is a Pianist, Arrangers, Composer, Musical Director of La Fania All-Star and Winner of 5 Latin Grammy Awards and a multitude of nominations.
While studying music, he become attracted to the psychological aspects of music and its mystical connection to our brain function. Maestro Infante shares his knowledge of how Salsa music influences the public to the point of creating natural euphoria. Maestro Isidro Infante has worked with an array of artists, through his 60 plus career in the music industry. He's worked with artists like Johnny Pacheco, Stevie Wonder, Herb Alpert, Gloria Estéfan, Dizzy Gillespie, Dionne Warwick, Patty La Belle, Will Smith, Wyclef Jean, Sheila E. Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, and an array of famous salsa artists.
