Embracing Sacred Cycles- A Latter-day Fertility Podcast
welcome to Embracing Sacred Cycles. I’m your host, Amy Sedgwick, a multigenerational Latter-day Saint woman who has navigated a 20-year fertility journey. Throughout this journey, I’ve wrestled with the pain and complexity of infertility within the context of our beautiful and unique theology.
This path has illuminated the pain many women in our culture experience, which led me to become a certified Fertility Awareness Mentor. I now have the privilege of teaching women like myself the tools that helped me naturally balance my hormones.
From time to time, I’ll be joined by my wonderful sister-in-law, Sharon Sedgwick. Sharon has her own complex fertility story, and her experiences have led her to become a leading practitioner in healing generational trauma. She’s worked with women around the world in various stages of life, helping them heal at the deepest levels.
Our vision for this podcast is to create a safe space for those in and around the Latter-day Saint culture to share their fertility stories, reminding each other that we are never alone.

#16 Season Finale: Reclaiming Isaiah 3 & 4- The Sevenfold Woman Archetype
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, we delve into the profound symbolism of Isaiah 3 and 4, reinterpreting the parallels between the man without bread and apparel and the sevenfold woman who does possess them. We explore how these contrasting figures reflect themes of spiritual authority, covenant identity, and the journey of ascension and descent.
We reexamine the daughters of Zion and their loss of adornments, often interpreted as a judgment for vanity, through a new lens—seeing it as a symbolic loss of divine power, priestess roles, and sacred authority. This stripping away represents a spiritual descent from their covenantal responsibilities and divine connection.
Through these passages, we uncover rich archetypal connections to the divine feminine, the cycles of descent and ascension, and the restoration of sacred power. This reinterpretation invites a deeper understanding of covenant relationships and the role of the feminine divine in the scriptures.
