What's in the Texas Hill Country? Well, hills. But there is a lot more. In it are frontier people that enjoy the peace and the stars. In the area there are points of interest that are worth bragging about, in it are events that rock, and in it are people that are taming the land! But we don't have local news, local municipal services (mostly), and an easy way to hear about each other in an aural format. We are here to start changing that.

Are There Mountain Lions Among Us?

Have you seen or heard one? Is there more that one can do other than panic or pee from fright? There is a lot of information on mountain lions (aka: puma, catamount, panther) on the internet but we wanted a more definitive guide on the subject, so we asked a biologist from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to weigh in.
Erin Weyland shared her thoughts on that and on some of the local critters. It turns out that she is more afraid of something much smaller than the lion and it is much more prevalent throughout Texas.
Gail confesses that she retreated all wrong and if you run, that you should be at least faster than your husband!
