Why Personal Development Isn't Enough for True Transformation

Okay, let's talk about the difference between personal development and inner work.

Speaker 1:

Because if you're in my world, if you binge a lot of podcasts, if you read a lot of personal development books and you basically live or breathe and die on personal development which, by the way, that was me for a good like three to four years of my life. Whenever I got introduced into personal development, it opened my mind to a whole new world that I just hadn't had access to, I didn't realize was even a thing, and I dove right in, I dove in headfirst and just like, went all in with personal development and was quite literally obsessed with personal development. You know you always find people in that world that you really connect with them, because you know that the general population is not spending time doing personal development. So if that's the season that you're in, I need you to stick around, because there is a difference between being in your personal development versus doing inner work, and I didn't really realize this when I was doing personal development. I thought that like I was better than everyone. I thought that I was like higher above everyone in my life because I was so into personal development. But what I really didn't understand about it is that personal development is essentially, you're just learning, you're consuming information, you are just your mind is being expanded and opened in new ways that you haven't been introduced to, which is necessary. Okay, because you'll understand as I get further into this video why the personal development stage and season is very necessary for you to basically level up into this like high divine version of you, like your highest version self of you.

Speaker 1:

Because if you don't do personal development, if you don't go through that season, you're not going to be able to develop enough self-awareness of where you're currently at, of who you currently are, and like what needs to be changed in your life in order to unlock the version of you, of your highest potential. Now, personal development will not get you to your highest potential and I know some of you might not agree, you might think differently, and what I'm not saying is that personal development doesn't shift you, doesn't change you, doesn't make you into a better person, but personal development alone does not bring you to the embodied version of you where you are, your 10x self. You have to do inner work in order to unlock that version of you, and it's going to make more sense as we dive further into this video. But essentially we are going to go into the difference between personal development and inner work and it's going to make sense for you. So essentially, you can think of personal development as conscious work. Right, we are consuming information, we are learning, we are taking notes. It requires consciousness, which I'm going to get into the difference between that. But consciousness is essentially your brain. Going to get into the difference between that. But consciousness is essentially your brain, your logical brain, your analytical brain, the brain that consumes in information. It's that part of our brain that is working and learning when we are reading personal development or listening to podcasts, whatever.

Speaker 1:

Now, your subconscious, or what some people refer to as your unconscious self, is where the inner work happens. So you cannot do subconscious, unconscious, internal reprogramming work without diving into what even is your internal programming. You can't focus on your subconscious and your unconscious through logical thinking, through analytical, because they're two different things. That is your conscious brain. Your conscious brain is needed for your day-to-day, but your subconscious self is what makes up your entire internal programming. It's what makes up your internal self down to the cellular level. It's like the automation side of things. So this even includes all of your internal organs working without you having to consciously tell them to. It's your heart pumping without you having to consciously tell them to. It's your heart pumping without you having to consciously tell it to. And it's basically your existence right, your identity, your internal programming, doing what it does without you having to tell it. And here's the thing that you need to understand your conscious self will always naturally follow your unconscious, your subconscious. It's never the other way around.

Speaker 1:

And this is where a lot of people will get stuck. Is they get to such this, this such high level of everything that they've learned, they've, they've discovered new information, and they get to this really like high level conscious self and they're really trying to unlock these higher versions of themselves without and they can't go further than the subconscious work that they've done. So you almost get to this point in your life. If you have gone down the personal development rabbit hole, you get to this point in your life where you kind of hit a wall. You're so aware of where you're sabotaging, you're so aware of the patterns that keep repeating in your life, yet you're having a really hard time overcoming them and really understanding like why it keeps showing up for you, and maybe you even gotten to a point where you do have it somewhat under control, but you know that you don't fully have it under control, and that is basically saying like so, basically, your subconscious is a frequency and your conscious will always match the vibration that your subconscious frequency is vibrating at. So that's why, when I teach like there's different levels of consciousness that you can unlock while you were here on this earth, but you will only be able to unlock as much as inner work and subconscious work that you've done with yourself.

Speaker 1:

And subconscious work is what can't be seen, it's what doesn't make sense. It's why the conscious brain doesn't always understand. Why am I sabotaging the thing that I say I want? It doesn't always make sense what our internal programming, what our subconscious is and is made up of, and that's why it's not logical. The conscious brain is logical and logically, we have the answers of. This is what I need to do in order to be my 10x self, in order to achieve the goal that I want to achieve. Yet I keep sabotaging it and it doesn't make sense. That's because the subconscious self doesn't always make sense, and this is why we have to, if we really want to unlock our highest self, which I'm going to.

Speaker 1:

I teach four levels of consciousness and I'll actually share where you can learn more about my four levels of consciousness that we can unlock in this lifetime through doing subconscious work. So the part where our subconscious is vibrating at a certain frequency, right, we obviously are all energy. I hope, if you're watching this video like you know at this point in your journey that we are all energy. Everything is made up of energy and depending on what our internal programming is set at, like our identity, our subconscious, it has a natural vibration to it. If we want to up level, we have to basically go into our internal programming, our hard drive, like a computer, and we have to start rewiring things if we want to transmute a new frequency for our conscious self to start vibrating at and start matching as well. And basically I'm going to draw here on this board. So if you're listening on the podcast, there's a video version of this.

Speaker 1:

If you want to see a visual, if you're a visual learner, I'm going to draw out what I teach called the inner feedback loop that makes up our subconscious internal programming. So I'm going to draw this out for you and I teach about how, like in my programs and in-person events that we do I really dive into. Okay, this is how you are actually able to identify parts of your identity that are not true, or they don't serve you or you no longer want to carry them with you anymore. You basically want to rewrite it and reprogram it. You can use this inner feedback loop that I teach to not only identify what no longer serves you, but you can also use it as a way to rewrite the new one. So we have this subconscious belief and then I have here.

Speaker 1:

So you're basically drawing. It's going to be like a clock. So at 12 o'clock you have your subconscious belief. At three o'clock you have thoughts slash, words spoken and then at six o'clock, you have emotions slash chemical response. So, again, if you're watching this in the, if you're watching, if you're listening to this on the podcast, I'm going to try to like paint a picture for you. If you're not watching it. So then at the 9 o'clock, you have actions or even reactions, and I'm going to draw arrows pointing clockwise all around, and then also pointing counterclockwise all around, and in the center I am writing mind plus body. So essentially, let me grab a different marker, different colors. So basically, this is how the mind and the body co-create together your internal programming. This is what makes up your subconscious. The subconscious beliefs and the thoughts slash words spoken section. That's the mind portion, and then the actions and the emotions is the body portion. So what I teach is basically every single one of these the thoughts, emotions and actions out of all three of those. At any point in your day-to-day, you are able to use every single one of these things as clues to what the subconscious belief is.

Speaker 1:

Now, again, the subconscious belief doesn't always make sense. I took someone through this not that long ago, where we were specifically talking about physical appearance and really trying to identify what's the subconscious belief that this person is holding that is preventing them from really like feeling good about themselves, and she had identified some different actions that she was experiencing and a lot of it led to feeling shame or feeling like not good enough, and we were trying to peel back the layers of well, what is the actual belief? Right, we know that you do these things where maybe it's like a form of sabotage. So the action we identified was she knows that she should go exercise and take care of her body or maybe even go for a walk, but she doesn't do it because she would rather like lay down in the evening or just like hang out in the evening and feels kind of like well, what's the point? So then we know that there's an emotion that is tied to this lack of not going on the walk, not exercising right, this sabotage that she's creating in her life. There's an emotion that's tied to it where it's almost like defeated, like she felt defeated, like she's not doing enough, guilt, shame, tied to that action. So, again, these emotions that we experience with the actions create a chemical response in the body. The chemical response is the vibration. It's what creates the vibration that we naturally vibrate at. The subconscious does.

Speaker 1:

And then we could also look at some of the thoughts that were coming from both of these pieces of the feedback loop and being able to identify when she was thinking or speaking that fed back into both of these things. And so, when we were able to identify all three of those, we were able to start asking well, what would I have to believe for me to be experiencing all of these things? And this required peeling back layers because, again, the subconscious doesn't always make sense and it's going to really try to give you surface level answers, because this is deep internal programming. If you have not allowed yourself to go deeper and peel back the layers and the parts of yourself that are most vulnerable, that maybe you haven't processed, that are tied to traumas that have happened in your life, your body and your mind are going to do everything in their power to protect you from revealing and exposing this deep wound that you have. And so we were trying to peel back the layers of what's the belief here? What would I have to believe right now to be experiencing all of these things?

Speaker 1:

And at first, the answer was like well, I, what did she say? It was like I, I'm not, I don't, I don't, I can't fit in the clothes that I used to be able to fit in. It was something along those lines. And it's like okay, that's very surface level. Why do you believe you have to fit in these certain size clothes? Like why do you feel like you have to do that? And she's like well, because that's, you know, that's what people say is skinny. And it's like okay, but why do you think you need to be defined as skinny based on what society is saying? And it was like peeling back layer after layer and it was kind of like boom, the brain is like spewing off these surface level answers that are like okay, but we know that that's just a cover-up, that's not actually the belief that you're feeling.

Speaker 1:

And deep down we revealed well, I'm not pretty. We revealed that I'm not pretty, which I even think I think we could go even deeper with it. But sometimes I have to be able to read what someone is almost like capable of handling within themselves at that moment. And sometimes you have to meet the body and the mind where they're at, because if they don't feel safe enough to go there with themselves, if the wound is very deep and like they haven't processed it sometimes it has to happen in layers or if you try to reveal too much emotions and pain that can cause the body to just like completely shut down and completely like go into this survival mode where it's like I can't handle this. So we revealed that essentially, the belief is I'm not pretty. Essentially, you know that could look like I'm not worthy. Now we could have gone deeper and been like where did you learn that? Where did that come from? You know at what point in your life did this really feel like this was your truth? And anyways. So that's where we're able to really start to identify. Okay, so that was the belief and these are all of the things that are supporting the belief, the thoughts, the emotions, the actions. So now what I need to get really good at is identifying when those things come up, being able to catch them, being able to have enough awareness that they are occurring in my day-to-day, and I have to have enough control that I don't allow them to continue going in this feedback loop. I have to be able to stop it in its tracks and prevent it from continuing this circle. This feedback Now, again in my program, and what we do, what we go over in our mentorship, is we talk about how to actually use this to retrain and reprogram new beliefs that we want to adopt.

Speaker 1:

So, basically, again going back to the conscious self and saying this is what my conscious self says at once. These are the desires that are coming through at once. These are the desires that are coming through. Now I'm going to use this information to basically retrain my entire subconscious to match this conscious thing that I've identified, that I said I want, and I know that my conscious self always matches my subconscious self and can only vibrate at the frequency that my subconscious self is vibrating at. Therefore, I need to address the subconscious. I need to address what the mind and the body are doing together to create this vibration that I am vibrating at and I talk about which I will be talking about in an upcoming free masterclass the different levels of consciousness that we unlock as we go through this process over and over again.

Speaker 1:

And the reason why you should care about the different levels of consciousness is because, if you are in the world of manifestation, if you are in the world of, I am creating my dream life. I know I am meant for more. I just don't really know what that is Like. You have this internal knowing that you are meant for more than what your life currently is. Maybe you feel like you're like on autopilot or you're just going through the motions of life and you've had that realization of is this all there is? Is this really what I'm going to spend the rest of my life doing and then retire at 65 and hope to enjoy the last five to 10 years of my life? Is that really what I'm here for?

Speaker 1:

If you've had that realization in your life, I need you to listen up, because that is not all there is to life and there is this huge awakening that is happening amongst people. And you are lucky if you have had this awakening and you have been chasing after an answer, trying to figure out what is this life Like? What am I doing? And there's more to this. I know there's more to this. I know I'm meant for more. I know God put me here for a reason and I am obsessed with figuring that out.

Speaker 1:

The universe will honor that conditional thinking that you have adopted, that you have said. This is my truth. This is the only way to success is through chasing and hard work and sweat, blood and tears and have to put in a lot of time to get there. If you say that that is the only way, then the universe will honor that. But guess what? The universe will also honor that if you say it is easy, I get to attract the life that is meant for me, I get to step into this version of me where I live at ease, I live in peace, I am overflowing with love and pleasure. The universe also honors that.

Speaker 1:

But guess what? It matters what level of consciousness you are in in order to attract. If you are trying to get to the version of you where you attract, you manifest, you magnetize this high vibrating frequency, you have to be able to unlock a certain level of consciousness, and a lot of us get stuck in a level of consciousness where we are sabotaging, where we are working very much from the head up and we don't know how to access the neck down. A lot of us are living in this state of disconnected from our body. We are numb, we are stuck in this fight or flighty survival mode where our nervous system is just very dysregulated at a majority of our day to day.

Speaker 1:

Be able to access the consciousness, the version of you where you attract, where you live life at ease, where you slow down and still are able to have the life that you desire. It requires you to vibrate at a different frequency and again, if you are stuck in a level of consciousness where your subconscious feels unsafe, it feels in very survival, you will not be able to lock the next level of consciousness. Where you are embodied, where you are tuned in with your own inner authority and with God. There are layers upon layers within you that you've likely created, that you've likely picked up upon over the span of your life, and unless you actually start peeling back the layers and removing them and knowing how to actually do that with the mind and the body, you will always live from this conscious state, this conscious self, where you can only achieve so much because you're trying to do it in 3D plane. So if you are in that, on that journey of I'm ready to up level, I'm ready to manifest my desires, I'm ready to step into this version of myself who gets to have it all, you get to have it all.

Speaker 1:

You've seen other people do it, so why can't you? That's the whole thing, is like you can't look at someone who has it all and has created their life with ease and say that you can't do the same thing. You can't look at someone who's been the proof that we get to have it all without having to hustle, without having to kill ourselves to get there, and then just say that you don't get that too. It doesn't work like that. We get to see the proof of someone else doing it, just like you get to see the proof of someone else working their ass off, killing themselves, to be able to get to a certain point of their life and then have very little energy, very little time to actually enjoy it. That is also proof of a belief that a majority of people buy into. But guess what? I've seen enough people, I have enough friends, I have enough coaches and mentors in my life who have created their life with ease and intention and co-created their life with God, because they're so in-tuned with their inner authority that they're just exuding with this magnetized frequency and it just naturally attracts the things that they desire.
