Awesome question. All right, so"},{"startTime":361.14,"endTime":363.73,"body":"we started off with web development."},{"startTime":364.79,"endTime":368.35,"body":"We've been around for almost ten years now. We started off in the schools"},{"startTime":368.43,"endTime":372.238,"body":"and our first kind of workforce"},{"startTime":372.334,"endTime":376.146,"body":"kind of for adults programs. Those are focused on web"},{"startTime":376.168,"endTime":379.858,"body":"development. Our co founder, Joe Carano is a"},{"startTime":379.864,"endTime":383.526,"body":"software engineer, a self taught selfware engineer. That"},{"startTime":383.628,"endTime":387.266,"body":"kind of was the prototype for this. He learned it himself and he started teaching"},{"startTime":387.298,"endTime":391.13,"body":"others, right? So we started with software engineering, web development,"},{"startTime":391.71,"endTime":395.354,"body":"and the reason why software engineering is so powerful, all these"},{"startTime":395.392,"endTime":398.982,"body":"apps that we use day to day, all these websites"},{"startTime":399.046,"endTime":402.666,"body":"that we experience life through during the pandemic, we lived on the"},{"startTime":402.688,"endTime":406.366,"body":"cloud, we lived in Netflix, we lived on Zoom, right? So that's the"},{"startTime":406.388,"endTime":410.222,"body":"backbone. So you have to start super technical, be able to build things,"},{"startTime":410.276,"endTime":413.842,"body":"and it gives you that ability to start companies to"},{"startTime":413.896,"endTime":417.09,"body":"build products. So that's why we started with web development. Data"},{"startTime":417.16,"endTime":420.926,"body":"science was a really smart next step because it's"},{"startTime":420.958,"endTime":424.642,"body":"the same software engineering skills in terms of"},{"startTime":424.696,"endTime":428.194,"body":"programming with the combination"},{"startTime":428.242,"endTime":431.986,"body":"of data. Data is the new oil. You've"},{"startTime":432.018,"endTime":435.414,"body":"heard that said time and time again. Our data is"},{"startTime":435.452,"endTime":439.114,"body":"constantly being leveraged by companies, right? But it can also be"},{"startTime":439.152,"endTime":442.874,"body":"leveraged for society. The government needs data. Hospitals need"},{"startTime":442.912,"endTime":446.522,"body":"data. So data is so transferable, right?"},{"startTime":446.576,"endTime":450.426,"body":"So you're going to see this through line transferable skills. We cannot have"},{"startTime":450.528,"endTime":454.234,"body":"our people caught without these transferable"},{"startTime":454.282,"endTime":458.078,"body":"skills or having skills that are going to be outdated. Data is always going"},{"startTime":458.084,"endTime":461.914,"body":"to be useful. Then the other two tracks are our most recent"},{"startTime":461.962,"endTime":465.498,"body":"additions. Cybersecurity. Everybody's getting hacked."},{"startTime":465.674,"endTime":469.458,"body":"Yeah. MGM is in the news right now. MGM is in the news. So"},{"startTime":469.544,"endTime":472.978,"body":"all these companies and this is one point I want to make for any of"},{"startTime":472.984,"endTime":476.126,"body":"the companies that may be listening, but also for people who are looking for something"},{"startTime":476.168,"endTime":479.766,"body":"to get into. There is a"},{"startTime":479.868,"endTime":483.346,"body":"national security impetus, necessity"},{"startTime":483.538,"endTime":486.882,"body":"to have more people that are in the cybersecurity"},{"startTime":486.946,"endTime":490.666,"body":"space that are passionate about securing systems. We teach from the perspective of when you're going"},{"startTime":530.108,"endTime":533.878,"body":"on an app or a website. Why is it that you"},{"startTime":533.964,"endTime":537.67,"body":"want to come back to Netflix time and time again? LinkedIn,"},{"startTime":538.03,"endTime":541.274,"body":"Instagram, somebody designed that experience,"},{"startTime":541.472,"endTime":544.682,"body":"and you'd be surprised how much they invest in"},{"startTime":544.736,"endTime":548.186,"body":"designers who can think in that way. Now, that skill is super"},{"startTime":548.288,"endTime":552.106,"body":"transferable. You can actually, and I love this example, if you"},{"startTime":552.128,"endTime":555.886,"body":"think about the DMV or going to some of these government services, you"},{"startTime":555.908,"endTime":559.646,"body":"need people to redesign those experiences. So"},{"startTime":559.668,"endTime":563.294,"body":"it's not just about the visual. It's actually all about the experience. So we teach"},{"startTime":563.332,"endTime":566.994,"body":"you how to do the research, understand user needs. How do you"},{"startTime":567.112,"endTime":570.434,"body":"prototype an experience? Oftentimes that's through"},{"startTime":570.472,"endTime":574.178,"body":"wireframing when you're on a web interface, but you can transfer"},{"startTime":574.264,"endTime":577.858,"body":"that and draw diagrams to explain a service"},{"startTime":577.944,"endTime":581.686,"body":"design context as well. Right. But we are firmly rooted in kind"},{"startTime":581.708,"endTime":585.478,"body":"of thinking about the web and the iOS or mobile context in"},{"startTime":585.484,"endTime":589.074,"body":"general. So I'm super excited about those four tracks web development, data science,"},{"startTime":589.122,"endTime":592.89,"body":"user experience, and cybersecurity. We are also piloting project"},{"startTime":592.96,"endTime":596.602,"body":"management. I think there's a big opportunity for people who"},{"startTime":596.656,"endTime":600.138,"body":"can juggle multiple things and have been doing that.
