After learning film direction, music creation, stand-up comedy, illustration, violin playing, and living in New York, Texan Dax Martinez-Vargas is now on a mission to combat toxic masculinity and the toxic clothing crisis. He's launching a provocative men's underwear line, starting with thongs, to challenge societal norms. Dax believes that by encouraging men worldwide to wear a thong and share a photo, it will help break down the barriers of toxic masculinity. Dax believes if he can make all men around the world put on a thong and take a photo of theirselves for the world to see, the walls of toxic masculinity will further erode. His rationale is that this act promotes self-acceptance, reduces objectification and devaluation of women, and serves as a great equalizer. Why this idea? Well, his initial concept of a global hallucinogen day seems harder to pull off. At least that is until consumers of Gauged thongs find LSD in the festy pouch flap upon arrival.
