Magic Money Computer Printing Trillions
US Government computers have been making money “out of thin air” and paying out “trillions” of dollars worth of this “magic money” for who knows what. At least, that is what DOGE Chief Elon Musk reported during an appearance on SenatorTed Cruz’s podcast earlier today.
While both Elon and Senator Cruz seemed shocked by this finding the reality is that the Federal Reserve has been doing this for a while now under the code-name “Fedtrade”.
The Fed won’t disclose everything it does but what is known is that Fedtrade computer terminals are operated out of the New York branch to “buy” securities using digital “dollars” that the Fed creates in real time as a given security is purchased. The Fed then deposits these funds into the seller’s account at the Fed. There is currently no known limitation on the Fedtrade system and while the Fedtrade program has been characterized as being limited there is no way to know how far-reaching the program really is (or was).
What is known is that the global economy runs on dollars and whomever is able to create that money out of nothing wields truly massive power. Some call it the real-life equivalent of “one ring to rule them all” as depicted in the “Lord of the Rings”. The comparison may be apt as the the ability to control the economies of the entire globe is practically “God-like” — nations can be created or destroyed, fortunes made or decimated and all with just the click of a button. And if “Fedtrade” or any system like it can be compared to the “ring” of legend, what to do about it? Can such power really be held by mankind? Can it really ever be used for good or is it doomed to corrupt any that hold it?
