Lost American Nuclear Powered Ice Base Found in Greenland?
Lost Secret Nuclear US Icebase in Greenland
Is there a lost American nuclear-powered ice-base hidden in Greenland?
Yes. But the reactor isn’t there anymore. Camp Century as it was known, had been frozen in time until it was recently rediscovered by NASA during a high altitude radar survey of the region.
Like something out of an adventure novel, Camp Century was built in 1959 under the cover story that it would be used for non-military research.
In reality it was a massive missile base with an arsenal of at least 600 ballistic missiles and was powered by the world’s first portable nuclear reactor.
It was manned by approximately 200 soldiers who lived within the 52,000 square foot facility which contained a gym, a movie theater, a chapel as well as laboratories and a mess hall in addition to the living quarters.
The thing is, the ice sheet moves — a lot- and in 1967 the base was abandoned after the ice-chambers started to move with the ice. At least that is the official story - some believe this to be just cover for something more insidious.
Whatever the truth may be, the entire project was veiled in secrecy as thick as the ice that reclaimed the station. In fact it was not even publicly acknowledged as a military installation until 1996 when it was declassified.
Don’t believe the official narrative or don’t think there’s something else going on with Camp Century?
