I had no such aspirations"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":359.76,"endTime":365.16,"body":"whatsoever. I was 19, I had just"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":359.76,"endTime":365.16,"body":"moved back to England from the"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":365.16,"endTime":368.19,"body":"tiny island of Malta, where my"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":365.16,"endTime":368.19,"body":"mum was from, and we'd lived"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":368.19,"endTime":372.54,"body":"there for my teenage years. And"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":368.19,"endTime":372.54,"body":"all I knew was I did not want to"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":372.54,"endTime":375.15,"body":"go back to Malta, it was a very"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":372.54,"endTime":375.15,"body":"diverse to smaller place, I"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":375.15,"endTime":378.93,"body":"wanted to be back in living in"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":375.15,"endTime":378.93,"body":"England and being independent."},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":379.44,"endTime":385.62,"body":"And I needed a job. So I saw a"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":379.44,"endTime":385.62,"body":"an advert in the paper, I think"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":385.62,"endTime":388.08,"body":"it was for tech, it was for"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":385.62,"endTime":388.08,"body":"taking emergency calls,"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":388.08,"endTime":391.41,"body":"actually. So I started off on"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":388.08,"endTime":391.41,"body":"the phone lines. And it was just"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":391.41,"endTime":393.72,"body":"that I saw this ad in the paper,"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":391.41,"endTime":393.72,"body":"I thought, oh, that sounds"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":393.72,"endTime":396.84,"body":"interesting. I can do that until"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":393.72,"endTime":396.84,"body":"I figure out what I want to do"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":396.87,"endTime":402.24,"body":"when I grow up. So I joined the"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":396.87,"endTime":402.24,"body":"ambulance service and got"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":402.24,"endTime":405.18,"body":"trained to take the calls. I did"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":402.24,"endTime":405.18,"body":"that for about six months. And"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":405.18,"endTime":410.13,"body":"then very quickly progressed up"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":405.18,"endTime":410.13,"body":"to dispatching ambulances, which"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":410.13,"endTime":412.68,"body":"I actually ended up doing for"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":410.13,"endTime":412.68,"body":"the next like six or seven"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":412.68,"endTime":417.93,"body":"years, really sort of high"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":412.68,"endTime":417.93,"body":"stress environment being in a"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":417.93,"endTime":420.9,"body":"very busy control center with"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":417.93,"endTime":420.9,"body":"but like, if you can kind of"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":420.9,"endTime":423.84,"body":"like picture. So there was that kind of"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":432.84,"endTime":436.92,"body":"environment for like seven"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":436.92,"endTime":441.09,"body":"years, I think it was. And I"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":436.92,"endTime":441.09,"body":"reached a point where I now"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":441.09,"endTime":444.3,"body":"looking back, I realize it was"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":441.09,"endTime":444.3,"body":"burnout. I was I was done. I've"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":444.3,"endTime":447.96,"body":"been in there for so long. And I"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":444.3,"endTime":447.96,"body":"said to myself, at that point I"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":447.96,"endTime":451.29,"body":"was with my not not quite then"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":447.96,"endTime":451.29,"body":"husband, it was my boyfriend"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":451.29,"endTime":454.83,"body":"back then. And he was he was"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":451.29,"endTime":454.83,"body":"training to be a paramedic"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":454.83,"endTime":457.5,"body":"already. And he said why don't"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":454.83,"endTime":457.5,"body":"you Why don't you try being a"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":457.5,"endTime":460.5,"body":"paramedic? And I thought well,"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":457.5,"endTime":460.5,"body":"it's either that or I go and"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":460.5,"endTime":463.17,"body":"work in a grocery store one or"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":460.5,"endTime":463.17,"body":"the other. So it was kind of"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":470.28,"endTime":472.83,"body":"Yeah, I always say it was an"},{"speaker":"Sarah Wayte","startTime":472.83,"endTime":474.66,"body":"accident. Really.
