I'm Jada Willis and this is the Back to Business Podcast made for business owners, CEOs and high achievers that are ready to leave their BS excuses behind, get more out of life and see business growth like never before. Let's take the road less traveled and tackle the hard. Are you ready to get back to business? Welcome back, Beta Beers. If you haven't heard, we have launched the Grow Forward Community. If you want to learn more, go to growforwardcommunity.com. And because of the questions, now I just recently shared this on our socials and to my network on Monday and we are getting a lot of waitlist signups and I'm encouraging you to learn more about it, decide if this is for you, and do the same thing. So I want to answer some questions. I've been getting a lot of questions recently in regards to the why I'm launching this program, why am I putting my time, money, and effort into this, and then also just some other logistical questions and all of that. I figured you know what I'm all about having a multi-purpose approach. It's just if you know me, if you work with me, you know I if I show up to something it's always going to have at least two birds that I am attacking at one time. So you know the saying of killing two birds with one stone, you know, listen, I'm not saying we need to kill some birds, but I like a, for things to serve a multi-purpose. We are far too busy, I have too many great ideas and too many people to help where I need to make sure that I'm being very strategic with my time, and I encourage you to do the same thing. So, it only made sense that I talk a little bit more about the Grow Forward community, and you hear about the reasons, the benefits, the people that will be involved and hopefully you just, you even take away and learn something. Even if this community is not for you, then I'm gonna encourage you, that ambitious female or even that ambitious male to find that community, find your crisis crew, your confidential circle. You need that advisory team in your corner professionally and personally. We all need this. So one of the things I shared on a video release earlier this week is there's an African proverb and it goes it goes like this. So if you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together. And I have really I've always known that people are the reason why I have been so successful either to support personally or in my business, hiring the right people, having the right kind of support, amazing clients. This is all about people, but I don't think that I've realized just how much that we need each other in order to grow at a much faster pace, really to go further, go deeper, and to get to unlocking like what's really for us in our lives. And so I've even had those breadcrumbs. I talk about breadcrumbs a lot with the team and I believe that God, the universe, whatever it is that you believe, for me it's God and the universe and all working together to give me breadcrumbs, to give me the breadcrumbs are the confirmation that you are on the right path. Or it's a sign that says, hmm, go here. This is the next step. So pay attention to those breadcrumbs. But even after I made the announcement on Monday, I have had so many conversations that are breadcrumbs to what it is that we are building here at Jada Willis Consulting. So the first thing that's been a reoccurring theme or a breadcrumb this week in the conversations I've had, and it's been with random podcast chemistry calls to friends that I'm talking to, to the clients and the CEOs I'm working with, just repeating the same phrase. And it's so weird. They have no connection, no overlap of one another. And I didn't say it. They said it, right? So one thing has been limiting beliefs. They're like, I've just been struggling so much with the mind drama of I sit down for a minute and I have just like a spare 15 minutes or even a spare couple hours I just can't stop thinking when I try to do the self-care thing then my mind just races it's the what do I have to do next and who do I have to pick up or take care of and and what am I missing don't I owe someone something and you're constantly thinking about the to-dos, but you're not actually engaging in any process that's re-energizing to your mind, into your body, and even to your to-do list. Like, frantic thinking is not actually beneficial for executing on anything, just a heads up. And so it's not helpful from a productivity standpoint, and it really does actually contribute to the ongoing limiting beliefs, because we're not taking the appropriate action, we're not refilling our cup, and it's really taking away from our confidence level. When we have the right structure in place and routines, habits, we're being a little bit more thoughtful and not just showing up to that task and then not really thinking through it, but just showing up and then going on to that next task and not being intentional with our time, intentional with our skills, then it actually contributes to the compound effect of limiting beliefs. I really believe that. And, and with that, just in the conversations that I've been having this week, it's, oh, it's the imposter syndrome. It's like, I mean, yeah, opportunities are presenting themselves, but can I really do this? Can I really take this on? I don't want to let anybody down. I don't want to fail anyone. And I also don't want to embarrass myself. So it's all this fear coming into it. What an actuality. You know, you're talking to someone like myself and maybe it's me knowing you for just a quick 15 minutes, but listen, I know people. There's something in life that I absolutely know and it's I know people inside and out. And I can tell there's so many women that I speak to and they're just, they're hiding from themselves. They're hiding their talent and they're, they're not letting them reach kind of that deeper place to really show up and do the things that are going to drive their goals and renew themselves. And they feel guilty in prioritizing themselves. They feel guilty because they should be focusing on the house, the cleaning, the family, the next to do, their team. I mean, it's all of this complete spiral that we all go through. And kind of going back to the overall patterns and the breadcrumbs I've seen this week and looking at the survey responses. So as soon as you sign up at growforwardcommunity.com, there are three questions to answer. They're pretty easy. It's gonna be your name, email address, but it's all about what do you want from the community? What are you hoping to get from it, right? And then you get this confirmation email, and it's actually a larger survey. It's pretty quick, it's like five minutes, but it's digging a little bit deeper on what, how could this really show up for you? How could this improve your life? And where do you want to be, even six months from now, a year from now? Maybe if you don't know, that's okay. Put that, because we need all of this information, all this data, but what I'm seeing is this theme of real connections and support, and I wanna be pushed outside my comfort zone. I wanna show up and there be the opportunity for opportunities, and I'm like, yeah, amen, amen. Let's definitely start a community where we can support and unite like-minded women. So that's, that's what all of this is about. So it's getting into the deeper why of why even starting this, right? Like I, I have a growing business of CEO clients, executive directors, and this has been on my heart. The retreat was absolutely powerful. If you missed it, there will be another retreat, the Grow Forward retreat in 2024, actually our Grow Forward members get a very hefty discount on the retreat. And it is, it was powerful. And I mean this with all due humility, but I knew it was going to be good. You know, I worked really hard on it and I partnered with the right people and I just knew the right people would be in the room. But wow, I didn't know it was going to be as life-changing as what I'm being told. And I realized this shouldn't be once a year, right? We are really bad as women in crafting out, carving out that time for ourselves, and then even knowing what to do whenever we do have time to ourselves. So we need something that's just not a check the box, one-off, not going to last, not going to change behaviors, but actually we need a community. We need a community that's going to rally around us whenever we need maybe even more support because we're navigating really difficult issues and situations. And we also need to just be surrounded and constantly communicating with folks that are like-minded, meaning that they're goal-oriented, they're balancing work and life and family. And maybe we're even searching a little bit more for what's next for us in our path. And then we want us to have this community that's all centered around knowledge sharing, knowledge learning. I'm going to I'm going to share with you in just a minute some of the programming that we have. And it is a complete behind the scenes sneak peek. And I'm going to share this with you, but there will be several different ways in which you can actually skill trade with other women, that you can actually give advice and help issue process and just give the advice that you really actually can, and even though you're not thinking about it right now, but if someone asked you a question, what immediately comes to mind, you're gonna be able, that advice is gonna be able to help the woman next to you. And then we're even going to have the learning, like presenters and new skills that you're going to be able to take part in and workshops. I'm so excited about this. And lastly, so we're doing these three umbrellas, right? So I've already covered uniting like-minded women, knowledge and resource sharing, and the last thing is guided growth. So the community is for ambitious working women. And I'm just gonna tell you, these are the women that I usually interact with that are saying, hey, I'm balancing a job. I don't care what level you are in your career, from an entry level to all the way to CEO, whether it's for business or for profit or non-profit. This is a place, this is a place for you. Because what's cool and how it's gonna be like-minded is that we all are going through similar challenges. We're navigating the soup to nuts of waking up every day with a thousand things on our list including how do we have the energy to show up again? Are we seeking the right path for our lives? Are we showing up for our families and our children? I can get the list goes on and on, okay? And then bare minimum, we need friendship. We do need friendship. And I'm not trying to replace the friends that you've had since high school. That's not it. And you may be the person that's like, listen, I don't have time for one more friend. I'll tell you what you have time for. You have time to level up your life if you want to. And if this doesn't resonate with you, then I promise you, this group isn't for you. This is for the people and the women that want more for themselves and for their lives that this time next year you're not going to be the same person with the same problems and you're actually going to be a healthier, better, deeper, and far more just balanced human. That's what I want for you. That's what I want for the the women of this tribe. And I really say, I think that this should be the folks that are gonna be in your crisis-ready crew. Now, and maybe you already have some of those folks, and by all means, please, cultivate those relationships, foster those relationships, take care of those people that are gonna show up for you, whether it's 12 a.m. or 2 p.m., that they're gonna show up for you. But I think that as the world evolves and as we experience new seasons of our lives, we need people. And those relationships, there's a season. So I know that I've talked to a CEO, and it's one of my clients that has a really good friendship group. I mean, they've known each other since high school, and they're not actually experiencing the same things as this particular CEO. Because they don't own a business, they're not as ambitious whenever it comes to certain goals, and that's okay. There's no judgment zone. But you do need to find those like-minded folks, right? So even one section of our community, there's going to be a subsection for business owners, for non-profit leaders, where you could even double down on your interest and to make it like, can it be like-minded times two? Your crew's waiting for you. Your people are waiting for you. And whenever I was going through my divorce, I actually picked out four friends that I knew that I would be okay. I'd be comfortable if I showed them who I am in an ugly place and who I am and being vulnerable and when I'm messy and that I don't like myself very much and I don't know who I am. Who are these people that I want to just surround myself with? And honestly, I needed to have that support rally around and that I knew loved me. So I picked four friends and it's my crisis crew. It's really cool. We get together and now it's not as much as it was whenever I was really going through a challenging time, but what I've seen happen is that I've brought these four people together and it's so funny how I've watched them support each other going through their particular crisis or how they've been able to just show up and bless each other in certain ways that wouldn't have happened. And I mean, like, these are polar opposite humans, personalities, even jobs, but what they've learned to do is, is support each other without judgment. And I realized I want that for my community. I want that for other women to have that supportive community, the confidential circle, the crisis ready crew. Now you're like, man, that's a whole lot. How are you going to really foster, cultivate these relationships? And I want you to know, thank goodness I am not doing it alone. That's the first thing. We have appointed a leadership team. So if you don't know, you will meet Rebecca Gowinski and Kayla Williams. And then actually all of the retreat participants are now founding members and ambassadors, so that's really cool that we get to continue on in mentoring and supporting and growing the new members of the Grow Forward community. So definitely not doing this alone, but also it's very intentional programming. It's very intentional. Like I said at the very beginning of this podcast recording, I said, guess what, I don't do anything without it serving a multiple-prong approach. And I mean that. So this is what's going to happen. Whenever we do the virtual learning sessions, there's multiple ways in which this is going to enrich every participant, every member. How I set this up, though, is that it's a combination of, I like to call it a hybrid approach. It's a combination of virtual interactions, virtual connection building and learning, in addition to pop-up events. So as membership grows in a certain location, and really I'm just looking for, you know, even five members in that particular city or within a certain amount of radius, and we can have a pop-up event. It doesn't mean that other members won't travel to that, depending on the topic, right? But I promise you, already I'm seeing a large population in the Columbia and Charleston area of South Carolina. So it doesn't mean we won't have a local event close to you. It's really just a matter of time. And you are always invited. But there is an online, a really robust online component to this. So all of our programming is very intentional, and it's really from the collection of data that I've been doing. I've been talking to women of all shapes, sizes, religious backgrounds, and I mean, the list goes on. Like, very diverse group of women, and asking about what does support mean to you? What does this really mean? And how can we introduce you in such a way to other like-minded women? So again, intentionality is the key. So I want to give you a sneak peek though, and I don't want this podcast to go on and drone forever, but I want to give you a sneak peek of some of the benefits and some of the topics that we're going to be, we're going to be experiencing, and I think it's so cool. So the first thing, and this is just a really neat opportunity to end 2023, but also to kick off 2024. And it's the no more resolutions vision boarding for 2024. And also it's our welcome membership mixer. We're gonna do this in Columbia, South Carolina on December 12th, but we also do have an online portion to this if the date doesn't work for you, or if we're not able to obtain enough members for it to make sense in your area, we will have an online component to this as well. All right? We have to be flexible, but I promise there are ways to do this where it really encourages connection building. And again, we have our ways. We have our ways. So with that, it's all about goal setting and then how do you use a vision board, and if you haven't been introduced to this, how to make one. And we'll be making these and then how do you use it for the for the year ahead. And bare minimum you're going to learn more about how to set goals for yourself and be intentional about who you want to be, how you want to show up, and what do you want to accomplish in in 2024. And it's just a really good time to to mix. One in-person event, any mixer that you will attend, you will never feel awkward in that room. And I mean that from a place of, it's not going to be, you're going to stand at a corner and be too uncomfortable to introduce yourself. Never worry about that. We have the ambassadors in place. We already know who we're going to connect you with once you fill out the survey. I've already, the members that are already signing up, I already know who I'm going to introduce them to of the other members because of just level of intuitiveness of knowing people, but also what they're saying, how they're answering the survey, what they are asking for and need. We do have a buddy program. So we're going to introduce you and then we're also going to make sure that every session has just a really easy introduction process to go through. So what else do we have in store for you besides that every member gets a free t-shirt and the t-shirts are hot. Let me tell you, look out on our socials next week. We're going to be sharing a picture of our t-shirts, but we also have a really cool event coming up in early 2024. And it's all about money hacks. Ooh, I have a financial advisor. She is just, man, she is so good. And she's going to help us from all levels of managing the budget to what are some exercises and activities that we can do to be a bit more intentional with the money that we have in managing our money. But I thought it was a great way to start off 2024. First, we want to put together our goals and what do we want to accomplish? Where do we see ourselves and what's the vision? And then guess what? The tactical pieces, the probably number two topic is going to be all about money. And it's awareness. You need to be aware of what your finances are doing for you or can do for you. And this is all stage of person. I don't care if you have $10 to $10 million. This session is for you. It's going to be in person as well as online. And then, ooh, we got something else. So we also are having a panel. And you're going to meet some bad ass women. And our whole theme is rebuilt from failure to success. And you're going to learn a lot more about how did these women overcome a really, really hard season of their life, failure, what they deem as failure, the trauma that they've been through and then how are they so successful today. We all need to learn from the woman sitting next to us, right? The woman sitting next to us. So that is, then we also have golf lessons. We're going to learn how to change a tire. I mean, here's the thing. There's going to be so much from an offerings perspective. We're going to be hiking. I can go on and on. All of this is optional. You get to, you get to pick what fills your cup. You get to pick when you show up and what makes sense. Like when you're feeling that angst of, I just don't know if this is for me. Well, A, ask yourself, is it time to get outside my comfort zone? Is it time to push? Or maybe this isn't the right time for me in showing up for this activity. But guess what? That next activity, that next program that you're offering. Yeah, that's, that's where I want to, I want to show up. Of course, I want you to show up to everything. I want all members to benefit from everything that we're offering. And speaking of that, your question could be, hmm, how much is this going to cost me? I'm so glad you asked. And I'm so proud to say that it is only $47 a month. Yep, nope, I didn't stutter.$47 a month, and why is that? I just didn't want cost to be the reason why you're sitting there saying, nah, I just, I can't do this. This is just not the right time for me. I think I'm going to save up. No, it's $47 a month. I know that you can do that. I know that you can invest that in yourself, in building the resources that are honestly going to propel you and create a tenfold, I mean, way more than that, a multiplier of this money. You are going to be in a far better position. So you know, and I'll be honest with you, I'll tell you a secret of what I'm working on behind the scenes. I'm hoping that as this continues to grow, that I keep it, that I'm able to keep at least one plan as a part of the grow forward, that everyone that's joining right now, I want to keep you at $47 a month. You may have additional, we may have additional offerings. We have a store that's going to be launched in just a few weeks as well, all of that. But I want this to be so cost-friendly because I want to help ambitious working women around the world, I really do. And I know we're starting in the backyard of South Carolina and North Carolina. And I know I'm seeing some members trickle in from Tennessee, but I believe that women need this. We need this. And then we need to multiply this and help the woman sitting next to you. I believe it. And I think that we can go farther together. So I want you to go to grow forward, community.com. If you haven't read about our mission, I really want to close out and leave you with this. Our mission is clear, to be the guiding force that empowers ambitious women to dream bigger, work smarter, and become the formidable leaders they aspire to be. Together we rise, we thrive, and we empower. I want you to join us on the imperfect journey to excellence. Join the wait list. There's so much more to come. I only gave you a sample of some of the offerings that we'll have, and we have a long list of member benefits, and I get to introduce you next to the actual online community, the membership directory, all of this. There's so much more to come, and I can't wait for all these great things to happen, and we start really changing the lives of working women. So I'm still gonna end the podcast like I end every podcast and it's choose your heart. Everything you want is on the other side of hard. Choose your heart.
