today's episode of From Hustle to Ease. And I actually took notes on how I'm going to do today's podcast. If you know me, you know I am very off the cuff and I do things on the fly. And it's like that for a reason because I do not like things to be overly structured or overly like Q &A style and like lecture style. That's not really my vibe. I feel like at least for me personally, it's very hard to listen to. It's very hard to get into and like.
pay attention when it's kind of like structured in that way. But today's podcast, I put a poll up on this about last week because I was looking at my quarterly numbers. And you guys, I was freaking stunned. And I was really hesitant about sharing it on my Instagram stories in the first place because in the past version of myself, we'll say two years ago in 22, I was working with a coach who was very heavily focused on sharing numbers and having that kind of have meaning to your identity.
And so I was sharing numbers, you know, in my business and in my life and everything, but it was from, it was from the wrong perspective. And that was the unfortunate thing about that coach that I was working with was there was such a heavy emphasis on you want people to respect you. And a lot of the respect that they're going to get is if you're talking about your numbers that you make in your business and looking back, that really just didn't vibe with me. And that's really not accurate to who I am as a person. And so when I put this poll up on Instagram, I was so hesitant and I actually was like,
I had to post and ghost because I was so worried that I was going to be misconstrued from, and I didn't actually post a specific number because I didn't feel like that was relative to the content that I wanted to talk and share about and that I was feeling called to share. So I put a poll up and actually had a pretty decent response. I had like six to seven people that were like a hundred percent. I want to know more about this and how, you know, because basically the poll was, do you want me to talk about how?
I made six figures in my first quarter of this year without even trying. I, and if you have been listening to podcasts, especially when I did around my vision planning workshop, which was in January, I talk a lot about why goals don't make any sense and why if you are trying to live a life filled with ease, way less stress, and you really want to have your life serve me, and this is pertinent to anybody who's either in business or not in business, you cannot be so, you cannot be.
Miriam (02:22.504)
so focused on your goals, because it can actually sidetrack you and it can pull you away from what you are trying to achieve by focusing on those goals. And it can be incredibly distracting. It can give you tunnel vision and it can lead you down a path of frustration. And it's just overall not a good situation. And so I myself was so shocked because I was like, oh, it's the end of the quarter. I guess I should take a look at my numbers. I stopped.
looking at my numbers for like my business because I have my photography business and I have my coaching business. This is like, I kind of categorize all those numbers into one, um, just because I've run my coaching business underneath my photography for right now, just a little bit easier that way. But I was like kind of over encompassing my photography numbers. Um, I don't look a ton at my coaching. Um, my coaching is still a very much of a baby business, which is totally fine. So I was looking at my photography numbers last week.
This was totally random. I was just, I didn't see anything that was a reminder. I just was like, Oh, I should take a peek at this. What the heck. I was blown away because, and I was sitting there and I quickly scrolled back and all the years that I've been in business, I have never had a quarter like this. Um, I've had a quarter that's gotten close. Like I've had quite a few Q fours that have gotten, you know what I mean? Like close, but I've never actually reached over the six figure mark in a quarter before.
And for a one man show, that is pretty damn impressive. And if you're somebody that, well, I don't know if I have any millionaires listening to this episode, obviously that's not really that much. If you're coming at it from a millionaire perspective, but typically speaking, most millionaires are going to have a team, a slew of people, and there's going to be a lot of output. But for, I would say one and a half minute show, because I do have an assistant who helps me with my coaching business, but she's like not even really full, fully part -time. So.
Um, for a one man show, I was shocked, stunned, impressed. I kind of sat there like speechless because I thought, what? What? How is that even possible? Number one, I didn't even go into this year. I literally for the, this is the first year I've ever done this where I was like, I am not chasing a number. Do I have a rough idea of how much I may make? Yes. But I was very intentional about why I did not want to have a number. And the reason for that is because I didn't want to cap myself.
Miriam (04:48.168)
because I thought there's a chance I could make over double what I made in previous years. All put together, there's a chance that I could still make a million. There's a chance that I could make well over. And that is exactly why I did not want to put a cap on my goal. I didn't put a cap on how much I was going to make this year. So what I did instead is I was like, I'm just going to go with the flow. I don't want to chase numbers.
And I had to remind myself because this is something that as a business owner and you might find this, even as somebody who's working for another company, you're chasing numbers, you're chasing a salary, you're chasing an amount because of course you need to in order to live. Right? Like your vacations, your life, your persona, your, your reality as you know, it is contingent on being able to pay bills. And so those numbers are really, really important. And I decided this year, I was like, I am not going to make any, I'm not going to chase money.
Number one, number two, I'm not going to have any numbers or parameters that I'm going to try and focus on. And number three, I just was like, I just have to know that the money is going to be there for me. And I was like, OK, so I'm just going to go forward. I'm going to do what I think feels aligned to me. And I am just going to have to. And this was so pertinent, guys, because in both my coaching business and my photography business,
I do not want to go in to any appointment or photo shoot with my clients and be thinking about dollar signs while I'm working with that client. It is so distracting. It is so inhibiting. And in my personal opinion, it produces a lower quality product, whether that be in the actual coaching you're giving that person, whether it be in the outcome, whether that be in whatever. And so, and it's a little bit easier to do that in my coaching because it's very like, you know, it flows from the soul. But in my photography,
It can be easy to kind of flip flop between those mindsets. And ultimately, you know, I was like, OK, I and I can't even tell you the amount of peace that I had once I like for sure decided that the mindset that I was going to take over all overarching in my life when it came to making money was that I was not going to chase the money that I was going to serve from a perspective of I'm going to serve my client the best that I possibly can, no matter how much money I make.
Miriam (07:11.08)
no matter what type of product this coaching client has signed onto, they are worthy and they should be taken care of to 200%. Like doesn't matter if they've gone for the smaller package or a larger package or whatever it might be. They deserve to get all the help that they need. And so, and that's something I've been doing with my coaching regardless. Like I said, it's a little bit easier in that department. And so,
Why is this pertinent and why am I kind of going into this like, okay, I'm not chasing money because, and I think I talked about this on my Instagram story and I'm gonna dive into it a little deeper here. I made a podcast episode probably about two months ago talking about your purpose and knowing your purpose, okay? Because I knew that I couldn't live a life constantly stressed about the next paycheck.
I didn't want to live that way. And this was something that I just decided like on my own because I thought that number one feels really, really, really stressful. And number two, it feels really, really, really restricting. And number three, if I do that, then I'm capping myself again. I'm very self -conscious about these energetic parameters that I'm putting on myself in relationships, in relationship with money. Because if you are tunneling yourself,
into a specific amount, into a specific salary, into a specific, just like if you have this number, like say you're thinking about your next paycheck and you know it's going to be $2 ,000, $2 ,500, I'm just throwing random numbers out here. And you're like, great. And that number plays on in your head over and over and over and over and over again. That's what you're going to get. And this is why I could not project a specific number when it came to how much money I wanted to make in a year, because I wanted to be surprised.
I wanted to, I am actively manifesting a better life, which I am living as we speak. I have the amount of debt that I've paid off in the last four months has been amazing, like so amazing. And I'm continuing to work on that. There's a few things that I still have left, big things that I still have left to accomplish, but that I find it exciting because I went for so long.
Miriam (09:28.328)
so hyper fixated on numbers and then I would get really frustrated when I wouldn't get that specific number. And this is part of why I couldn't count myself and why I, again, am very self -conscious about these money, energetic parameters that will randomly pop up one day. You'll wake up and you're like, oh, I didn't realize that I was limiting myself in terms of what I could experience, getting a bonus.
getting a new job offer from somebody else, getting a client that maybe wants to work with you again after they just worked with you, or maybe somebody who's going to spend a little bit more money with you. Making sure that those energetic guards are not up are so, so, so, so important in being able to manifest the reality that you really, truly, ultimately want to have. And so by making sure that I didn't have these walls up,
and I didn't have these hyper fixations on numbers. It allowed me to look at my life and say, what am I really chasing here? What should my focus be? If my focus is not going to be on numbers and if I'm not going to hyper fixate, I'm making a certain amount of money, what am I going to focus on? Of course I want to focus on my clients, but what's like the overall branching attitude that I want to have with my life? And overall, what it came down to is I want to be content. I want to chase contentment. I want to chase a day to day life.
that I wake up and I feel good. I feel safe. I look at my calendar and I'm like, oh my gosh, how exciting. I have a coaching client here and I have a introductory client here for photography and I have, you know, a podcast or a podcast guest and I just feel like that fits right there. And I'm really happy and safe with my calendar when I look at my calendar. And I have...
these schedule boundaries that I've had in place and I can look forward to the hobbies that I have in the evenings. And I look forward to the time that I have with my family and the hobbies that I have and hanging out with girlfriends, et cetera. And I thought, okay, well, that is what I want to focus on. I want to chase creating in a freaking amazing product for both my coaching clients and my photography clients that no one else is doing because that is genuinely what I feel called to.
Miriam (11:47.624)
And this does tie into your purpose and what your purpose is and what you were called here on this earth to do, which again, definitely go, I'm going to link that episode below in the description for you guys. If you want to go take a listen to it, because it is so like these subjects are very highly connected. And so being able to wake up in the morning and know that number one, you're doing the right thing. Number two, you don't have to worry about money. And number three, that you can just relax. You can smile and say,
Yeah, I did this. I feel so good knowing that I'm not chasing money, material, artificial things, and also that I'm going to be taken care of. And so being able to look at your calendar and to feel like there's a sense of alignment between your schedule, your purpose, your actual job, work itself, and the outcome that you're going to get are, it is like,
That is what flow, that is what living in alignment is like, is making sure that all of those things that I just mentioned are in flow and connected to one another in a way that feels peaceful. OK? And I mean, I'm not saying that I don't want you guys to think that my life is hunky dory because there are so many things that have happened in the last four months that I'm like, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. Like, what am I going to do about this scenario? Like, I lost, gosh, I don't even know how much money it is.
I did Facebook ads last fall and I think I lost like 30 grand. I haven't actually reviewed the total number. I need to go back and do that to a company because I made no money. I absolutely made no money. And it's like, oh, and I decided to end my relationship with them in February. And it was like, oh, okay. And this is not the first time that this has happened. This is the third time that this has happened.
But my intuition again was like, okay, there's a solution out here for this specific thing with regards to my marketing. I'm not gonna go into that right now because it is not pertinent. But the fact of the matter is, is that even though technically that marketing effort did not result in any additional money, my income still kept going up. And that's what really, that's why when I say, when I looked at my numbers, I was blown away, shocked, stunned, felt like I had been sat in disciplined in my seat.
Miriam (14:12.264)
because it showed me that by having alignment between my calendar, my purpose, my work itself, my marketing, my structure and my boundaries between my family life and my business, that having that was like an amazing trifecta. And it really, truly paid off. And I can, like, it really, really paid off. And the best part about that is that this is just the beginning. Like I'm just perfecting this.
even more on a more refined level as each month goes on, which is, again, I'm like sitting here dumbfounded mind blown. So a key part, and if you're like Miriam, how the heck do I start implementing this? One of the most critical pillars of getting to this point where I could wake up in the morning and be like, oh my gosh, I feel so good about where my intuition is telling me to market for my businesses.
what I'm supposed to do with my time, do I need to cut back, do I need to do more? Like, what am I doing here? Was trusting in myself, in the universe, slash God, and trusting my purpose. Without being able to trust in those three things, this outcome that you are looking for, that I am talking about, will not happen. And I mean, like, your trust has to be really strong in those three areas, like, evenly.
And I would dare say, actually, I'm not even going to say evenly because you really do have to trust in the universe slash God, like way more than any of the other two categories. You still have to be willing to trust yourself because you are who are your soul is going to guide you to where you want to go. So you have to be able to have a strong relationship with yourself. You have to be able to understand yourself. You have to be willing to take risks on yourself. And that is so essential because God is communicating.
through you where you want to go. And your intuition is literally like the little voice that guides you exactly to where the universe is putting you. And when I say knowing your purpose, trusting your purpose, trusting that you are in the right place is so key. I'm actually coaching a client right now who's going through, she's not in alignment at the moment. She is having, she's in a job that is really, really, really causing like the biggest, you know,
Miriam (16:34.248)
storm in her life. And it's like, you know, affecting everything. And so being able to pursue taking her out of that job into a different job, it's actually kind of ironic because I have a lot of clients who come to me who end up usually within the first period of time, switching jobs, it seems to be I'm now thinking that maybe I need to include that in part on my website, because job alignment is effects.
a massive, honestly, it's thinking back now to all the clients who have who have gotten new jobs. It is one of the biggest determining factors as to whether a client is going to live in alignment or not live in alignment. So what I was going to say is this particular client, you know, getting her to this place where she feels safe and she can rely on her own intuition and her own feeling with regards to getting a new job. It's absolutely that shit terrifying.
And I'm not saying like you're if you're listening to me talk about all this and you're like, oh, Miriam, you make it sound so easy. Well, I have also been building up my trust in myself since 2021. Like that is when when I found human design is when the self trust ramp. Like I started to run up that thing like my life frickin depended on it because I realized that if I wasn't able to trust myself, I would not get to where I wanted to go.
So it started with a self -trust. Then I worked my way into trusting more in God because I was like, oh my gosh, you know, like I had to feel safe that what my purpose was aligned with what I thought God wanted me to do. And so I was like, oh, okay, is this really what God is calling me to? And so there was a whole theme, it probably was like a whole six months back in 2022 that it took for me to really sit down with this and say, oh yeah, I know deep down in my, in every bone in my body.
that this is my purpose and this is what I am called to do. And it's deepened and I have to make sure I have to recheck in with myself every year, every six months to make sure that I am on. And I mean, like, I feel this. So the more I know myself and the more I check in with myself and my intuition, the more sense of a strong foundation I have in my purpose that as time goes on, I have to check in with myself less and less because it permeates everything. My entire identity, my entire being, my entire
Miriam (18:56.744)
persona as a human, as a business person, like it has, it's like, it seeps out of me and I cannot control it, which is, that is not a problem. So being able to trust in yourself, number one, if you have not done a human design reading, absolutely schedule one, because if you're like Miriam, I just don't know what my purpose is in life. Let's get you on a human design reading and I'm going to show you what your purpose is and what you were supposed to be doing with your life.
And my husband is actually in this process because I did a human design reading and I've been coaching him more specifically from a human design perspective. And it's been really interesting because he has a really big struggle with self. He's very, very insecure because of his growing up and trauma and et cetera. And his human design purpose is to use his voice more specifically when it comes to coaching men. And that is 110 % like where he's called to being. And he knows that.
But he's so uncomfortable using his voice. He has never in his entire life used his voice in that way. And it is so blatantly clear in his gates and channels that that is like everything points back to that, to being able to use his voice. And it's so, it's very painful like watching him.
fight for himself. And I'm like, OK, throwing in little reminders there. I have to be very cautious because when it comes to coaching someone that you're married to, you have to be very careful, especially from a feminine masculine energy perspective. But him knowing what his purpose is took so much stress off of this because he was like, basically what I would classify as having a midlife crisis because he's like, I don't really.
What am I really doing here? Like he kind of felt like lost to the wind. Like he was just like a lost wanderer searching around his life, wondering like, what am I doing? Where am I going? What am I searching for, et cetera. And it wasn't until human design that he was like, and he even worked, he paid five grand to work with another coach who didn't even show him again what his purpose was. And this was like, you know, somebody who was really focused on, you know,
Miriam (21:08.584)
guiding men to a place in their life where they felt really safe and secure with themselves. And there was no guidance in terms of like what his purpose was and how he could feel really, truly fulfilled. And it wasn't until we started deep diving in dissecting his human design that he found the answers that he was craving for. And he was like, wow, I didn't realize that it was that easy to like discover my purpose. And I was like, oh yeah, this is why.
I will have probably mentioned it every other podcast episode, like get the human design reading. Because even if you're not familiar with human design, I can break it down for you in a way that's very easily digestible. It's still a ton of information because essentially you're getting your map, your life map in a call. But it is very easy to still understand of like, okay, great, this is what I'm here for. And this is what I should be doing with my life here. And like, do I listen to my intuition or do I not listen to my intuition? Because...
For example, like projectors and reflectors are not going to have that intuitive sense. And manifestors as well. So trusting, focusing on the trust in those areas, it's an exercise that you have to work on every single day, every single week. There does have to be accountability with it. There are so many deep conversations that I had to have with God, with myself. And I wrestled. When I tell you I wrestled,
And I resisted trusting because it just felt too damn scary to trust way too way, way, way, way, way, way too scary. And seeing all the clients that I've coached, especially all the ones that have switched jobs, a hundred percent, it will be a very, very hard process, but is it worth it? Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I cannot scream that loud enough.
Because when I look at the joy and the peace and the contentment that I feel on a daily basis, simply because of that singular pillar, I'm not even talking about the other things, because I'm going to go into another pillar here in a minute. But like, it gives you that, like, I can breathe. I don't have to do it all. I don't have to be the one with all the answers, even though you do have all the answers. You do, 100 % you do.
Miriam (23:26.376)
You already know exactly what it is that you need and what it is that you want. It's just a matter of opening up to yourself and being able to learn how to communicate with yourself and learn how to read your feelings, read your emotions, read your intuition, all those things. So the next pillar that I'm going to talk about is your relationship with money. Because if you are somebody who is actively wanting to earn a significant amount of money, you have to have a very...
positive relationship with money or either that or a very neutral relationship with money. But if you think of money and any possible negative format, you are going to cap yourself. You are going to limit yourself and how much money you are able to make. And I'm going to give you some examples. So, for example, like back before 2022, I was like, oh, bills, negative debt.
negative. Anytime if my bank went into the red, it was a negative association or feeling. I would have a lot of resentment towards money experiences that I had in the past. For example, like if I'd gone on a trip and I didn't have enough money to get the things that I really wanted, I subconsciously was harboring resentment towards money as a thing, as a person, as an energy, whatever you want to define it, however you want to classify it. And so now,
to give you an idea of what it looks like to have a healthy relationship with money. I celebrate every single freaking bill that I have. I cannot tell you, I love having bills. If that feels triggering, you're gonna wanna work on your relationship. Like I feel so blessed to have bills because it means that I'm a badass with money. Like I'm able, and I'm not saying like, I'm not talking about accruing like, oh, I have.
I'm trying to think of a kind of really out of pocket, like, well, and this is where again, this is going to challenge your relationship with money, right? Where you come from. Because if I saw an influencer on social media that was like, Oh, I have $100 ,000 credit card debt with Sephora. I'm like, Oh, okay, because there's a Sephora credit card, right? I'm just using that I was trying to think of something a little bit more superficial. I'd be like, Oh, my gosh, okay. You have probably gotten a lot of cashback. You've gotten a lot of perks from that, whatever.
Miriam (25:48.552)
I would be like, oh, that person obviously really loves Sephora. Great perfumes, they sell Dyson, they sell like there are so many things that you can get from Sephora. I'm not over here judging. I personally couldn't care. But I'm not saying that's not what I'm meaning, like when I, cause I don't, I don't even have a credit card that goes up that high. But like my debts, we'll classify them as that, are not necessarily from like ultra superficial, super, like I'm not chasing, I'm not going out of my way.
to find debt or to find bills that are superficial based, if that makes sense. Not that that really matters because even if I did, it wouldn't make a difference because that's something that feels aligned to me. Like if I go get a credit card to go and buy a Louis Vuitton bag, okay, so what, right? Like, and this is where you can check in with your relationship with money because I see people get so triggered by influencers on TikTok. And I'm over here and I'm like,
I find that really fascinating. What's so triggering, like, is that the fact that they get rooms full of PR every single week, is that the fact that you're triggered by environmental things, like that's not really good for the emerant, or is the fact that one person that you know of that's popping up on your feed feels unfair, that they're receiving so much and they're being pampered so much that it aggravates you. And like to me,
I live for things like that and I love when they pop up on my feed because it challenges me and my relationship with money. It's an amazing check in because I can say if I cannot wish that for myself and for that person, then I have more work to do. But going back to the bills, I treasure every single one. Like, for example, last summer, our electric bill was so nuts. It was like over quadruple what it.
we were expecting it to be. And I was so blindsided. I was like, what? And that's something that this summer we're talking with the company to be like, OK, how did we even get there? Was it from a specific thing? Is it from a specific AC unit that we have in our house? What is that from? So this year, I already have a game plan to make sure that it doesn't go, we don't have that experience again. However, I'm still, when I realized, I was like, oh, I have a bigger bill that I have to pay. I wasn't like, oh, I have a bigger bill that I have to pay.
Miriam (28:10.984)
Oh my gosh, I'm so mad and I'm so upset and I'm so frustrated. I was like, okay, well, obviously the universe is going to provide me with an opportunity to make more money so that I can pay it off. I was like, awesome, amazing. Is it a little bit challenging? Yeah, absolutely. Because I wasn't expecting it to be like $1 ,500 versus our normal like 200, 300. And so being able to look at the numbers and the debt that you have and say, I forgive you.
number one for accruing that debt because you didn't know, either you didn't know that you were doing or your life situation changed where either maybe you lost your job or maybe you weren't, you were using shopping as a way to give you dopamine in order to get through your day -to -day life. That is totally fine. Been there, done that. I would be the first one to raise my hand and say, yeah, I have suffered from a shopping addiction before, but I was doing that to heal a childhood trauma.
And it wasn't until I started doing this work that I was able to truly heal my shopping addiction. And it's actually really funny because I hardly go out shopping like ever anymore. And most of the things that I'm buying are like makeup for my photography studio, makeup for my clients. Or I'm buying like, I don't buy clothes anymore. I don't really buy hardly any makeup for myself.
I think this year I bought makeup for the first time in like three years. Like it had been a long time. And ultimately, I'm getting sidetracked here. So I'm trying to refocus. So ultimately you want to check every area of your life because if you, oh, there goes my earbud. If you can look at all the money, debt, whatever you have, if you have any resentment, frustration, harboring anger,
towards a specific number or a specific thing, you want to be able to work through that and what you think about other people, how they spend their money, the things that other people have. Like I love seeing people who are on vacations. I love seeing them on my feed because again, it's an opportunity for me to say, oh my gosh, I also want to experience that. So I'm going to put myself in that specific place, like say they're on a beach or whatever it might be.
Miriam (30:24.392)
I'm like, oh, I'm going to look at that. And I'm going to be like, yes, I want to be able to really experience that. And I really want to be able to do that for myself as well. And these exercises are so amazing and so important. So I celebrate paying bills. I love paying bills. It's still challenging for me, but I love doing them. I love paying debt off. I love thinking about paying debt off. Oh my gosh, that's like.
my like, I think about that. It's not easy, but I do think about it so often. And that is how I have been able to pay so much debt off in the past six months is because I forced myself into these. Like I've, I worked so hard and I continue to work so hard about creating and cultivating a positive feeling around every single aspect of money. So when something pops up, that's like, Oh,
It was unexpected. I'm like, okay, how can I turn this into a positive feeling? How can I trust in this is why having that trust builder are so critical because being able to have a positive relationship with money is, in my opinion, you need to have that trust building block in order to have a positive relationship with money. Because I actually, there was, I had a guest on Denise Utter. She was, I think like three podcast episodes ago, three or four.
We were talking about, you know, how to how women's bodies get in the way. Actually, you know what? I don't remember the title. But if you look it up, it's with Denise that are and she has an amazing story where she told me where she wanted to go back to school for massage therapy and she had no idea how she was going to pay for it. And literally she ended up getting sponsored by somebody at a church event or something who was like, oh, I felt called to reach out to you to pay for your schooling. And literally her schooling got paid. Yeah.
Like when I say trust has a crucial element in being able to live and make more money and have your life flow in a way that serves you, so, so, so, so, so, so key. And so the money thing, it really is a step in the journey, 100%. I do suggest that you work on number one, knowing what you want to do with your life and having a sense of alignment. So if we were to lay this out in terms of steps, I would say, okay,
Miriam (32:47.368)
Human design reading, absolute number 100%. You want to know where you're going in life, what you're doing, et cetera, et cetera. Then number two, you want to work on building trust. And then number three, you want to really challenge your relationship with money. You want to audit that entire relationship. And I've done this in the past where I've had money workshops. And so if you feel like, Miriam, I really want to do that again, just send me an email, shoot me a message on Instagram and say, hey, I really want to, or if you're in our Facebook group, pop a comment and say, I really want you to do the money workshop because.
I've done this very specifically to heal people's relationships with money. Sometimes your relationship with money can also be tied to insecurity because you might, and this also ties into identity work, because if you don't think that you're someone who can make that kind of money, you absolutely will not make that kind of money. So if you don't have any resentment towards bills that past experiences with money, whatever, but you're like, oh, I don't know if I could experience that, then you won't experience it.
It really has a lot to do with openness and being able to see yourself as somebody and I mean like being totally open, not capping yourself in terms of like how you think of your life and how money is attached to it. So,
Sometimes people can still be frustrated with where they're going in life because they have this sense of insecurity about making the kind of money that they ultimately really truly want to make because of the fact that they don't see themselves being able to make it. And that can be tied to, well, it's tied to how you feel about money, your relationship with money, who you saw growing up around you making money or not making money, et cetera, for that reason. So there's lots of things that can be touched upon in that specific category.
So when you are able to work on those three pillars, right, like knowing your life map, your purpose, building your trust, and also healing your relationship with money, really it comes down to like, what does my life look like from there? I'm going to tell you what it looks like. It's called a living in flow. Like I don't necessarily like make a lot of plans. Yes, I have certain parameters that I maintain around my schedule.
Miriam (34:57.896)
but I don't really like make a lot of plans. And that's actually really funny because so many things come into my life, like the Dubai trip that I talked about like last fall, that just fell into my lap because I was just open. I was just maintaining a sense of openness. And I was like, okay, well, I'm just gonna trust that the universe is gonna give me more of what I want. I literally said once, and I think it was like two, I think I said that in 2022 that I was like, oh, I think I wanna go to Dubai. And then literally a year and a half later, it totally fell into my lap and it was just kind of.
rather amusing because you want to watch what you say. But I literally said it from a place of like, oh, I think that would be really fun. Not as in like, I really want to go and I don't think it'll happen. But I really think that this would be kind of fun. And so living in flow goes back to what I talked about in the very beginning of this podcast episode. It's very much this like, what do I feel aligned with? Because I'm going to tell you like my living in flow is so
intuitively aligned with both how I price myself for my photography, how I price myself for my coaching things, what I'm cooking that week, what I want to do with my health, if I need to go see a new doctor, if I need to go see a new vet for my dog. Everything is so tied to my intuition and being able to communicate with it.
that it very much feels like this easy. It's kind of like if you do have a partner or a best friend that you're like, you don't ever really need to explain things to, like you can look at each other and start laughing because you like know what each other was about to say, or like you're kind of like, you know, you have the six sense going on between them. That is exactly how I feel with my intuition. And because my intuition guides me in all my life and I feel so aligned with my purpose and why I'm here on this earth, that my life just flows. Like I like to think of it as water.
Even when the challenges come in, it's still very much a challenge leaning into the trust and leaning into the tools that I've built to make sure that I can maintain a status of flow and not get completely sidetracked, which if you listen to my podcast after I came home from Dubai in terms of getting back into alignment, that was a great example of what can happen just because there were so many factors that contributed to family members, et cetera, that I
Miriam (37:14.824)
I wasn't able to maintain my boundaries. And so therefore I fell out of alignment and I wasn't able to live in this very like flowy state. And so I talked about how I got myself back into that space. So you're living in flow, you build these pillars, you build, you, when you, and I mean, this is what my coaching clients do, but when you, the goal is, is that when you build an incredible life that serves you, you are, you have all these tools accessible to you. And so when something happens, you just reach out, reach in and say, great.
I need this tool. Boom. Okay, I'm going to go and implement this. I have this routine. I have this. And actually just had a client who she finished my collective, my mastermind collective early. And she messaged me literally two days ago and she was like, Oh my gosh, I literally implemented. She had another challenging moment. And this was about probably a month after she had left the container. And she was like, I literally implemented like everything that you taught me and that I learned in this collective in this container.
And my life would have been the challenging moment that she went through would have been like 50 times worse or maybe even 10, whatever. Had she not had those skills to make sure that she was prioritizing herself, that she was listening to her intuition, that she wasn't getting sidetracked by life itself. So that she was still maintaining control, right? So it's a very delicate balance. Living in flow is very much like letting go and trusting. And then,
knowing that you have control when you want to have control and you also know when it's time to let it go. But it feels very like this is a huge part about like just not not being stressful. And then last part, which I did again talked about at the very beginning was not having specific goals and literally getting rid of specifics as much as you humanly can and humanly possibly can. Because like I said, I don't have any specific goals. I don't have any specific numbers.
I do have a rough idea of how much I want to make on a bi -weekly basis. That just comes in terms of how much I want to pay myself. And I have to be very, very, very careful with that because, again, I can get into tunnel vision where I'm capping myself. And so every time I think about it, which is usually a couple of times a week, sometimes it can be every day, it just really depends on what my goals are and where I am, I'll think about the number. And then I'm like, OK, Mira, reminder, you want to push that number higher. And I'm like, oh, OK, great, let's do that. And so it's...
Miriam (39:40.104)
challenging. It can be exhausting to not focus on the specifics because the world will tell you to do that. Bro marketing will tell you to do that. Every single business plan, business guide, business mentor out there is going to be like, what are your goals? What are your specifics? How much money do you want to make? What do you want to do with your life? Here's a very structured A through Z like plan to get you there. And I am like, you don't need any of that. And in my opinion, that is the best way to feel free.
Like to feel a sense of peace, to be able to breathe, to not be like, oh my gosh, I have to do this and I have to do this and I have to do this and I have to follow this business plan and I have to follow, you know, blah, blah, blah. Unless of course your intuition is telling you to do so, in which case absolutely amazing, go and do that. But most women, and I've seen this from all the women that I coached, thrive not having those parameters. They are called to, and I mean, honestly, I coach predominantly generators, manifesting generators.
So if you know you're human designing, you fall into that category and you're like, oh my gosh, this is really resonating with me, let's chat. Because being able to see them thrive and maintain their boundaries in a sense of like, yeah, I know what serves me and absolutely nothing is going to get in that way is freaking astounding. Like it is so beautiful to see and it's so beautiful to watch because their health problems start going away, they start losing weight, they start just feeling like, oh yeah, and then they're crushing all these other goals.
because they have a rough idea of what they want. And so when you're chasing a feeling as a goal instead of a specific, you're giving the universe freedom to play and how that goal can come into your life. So that's why I said, like, I was so dumbfounded when I looked at those numbers because I thought, oh, I wasn't chasing making a specific amount of money in terms of like quarter or monthly or whatever. Like, I literally didn't even look. I mean, sometimes at the end of the month, I'll look and see how much I made.
But I'm not like before I would track it like week by week by week and be like, okay, what can I do? Like, what does my schedule look like coming up? And I would so like try to control how much money was coming in. And I stopped doing that. And it's like being able to pursue joy, contentment and peace and knowing and building my trust, knowing that I am someone who was called to make this money and to make even more money than that. And being able to let go of how...
Miriam (42:09.095)
what that formula is going to look like for the money to come into my life led me to this place of like, holy crap, this is actually happening. Like I'm crushing financial goals that I made in like December. And actually, earlier than that, I made them in November. And like, I'm speechless because you do get rewarded for having that trust when you can feel safe expecting what you want.
You will feel nothing but joy and gratitude in anticipating that coming into your life and being able to just like, you just know you feel safe. And that joy is worth more than anything I could ever explain like in this world. I want to wrap this up because this is probably the longest episode I have done and recorded by myself in a really long time. Like I said, I took notes and I was looking at them here on my phone. She was, I was like, okay, we have a lot that we want to talk about here.
and we want to make sure that I cover everything. Honestly, this probably could have been a master class. And like I said, I am still going to be hosting a free master class here coming up. I have been so busy, and so I haven't had a chance to post the link for people to sign up for it. I am hoping it is going to, the master class itself is going to take place in April. And I am pretty sure that by next week or the following week, I will post the sign up for it. I know I've had some people.
be like, oh, did I miss the sign up for it? Nope, you haven't missed it. I have just been really slammed, and I haven't been able to. I've been very careful because I wanted this master class to be aligned. And so I had to be very careful in terms of picking the topic for it. So I've just been doing a lot of extra research to make sure that I'm picking a topic that is going to resonate with as many women as possible. So thank you so much for listening. If you want to book a human design reading, it's in the link below.
There's a link that I post with every single episode. You can schedule the human design reading. It is worth its weight in gold. If you're worried about the financial aspect of it, I can do that in an after pay. So it's $400 for the human design reading. You can do it as a pay in four if you want. You just have to send me an email or shoot me a message if you want to do it as a pay in four, because I have to create a separate link for that if you want to do that.
Miriam (44:27.816)
But it is so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so worth it. The mask, like I said, it's, I got sidetracked there, but highly, highly, highly recommend definitely starting there. If you haven't already, shoot me a message and that's all I have for today. I would love to know your guys' thoughts. So pop into my Facebook group and let me know what you thought. And I will look forward to talking with you in the next episode. Take care. Have a great one.
