Eddy Occhipinti: Sports Broadcaster & Host
Eddy is a versatile sports play-by-play broadcaster and host with over 15 years of experience calling games on television, radio, and streaming. His work has been featured on ESPN’s digital platforms, as well as SNY and the Monmouth Digital Network, among other outlets.
We discuss what it is like to pursue the dream of sports broadcasting while managing other full time, hands on roles at universities like Kean and Monmouth. In usual Longshots fashion, Eddy details exactly what it means to keep both career paths afloat, while also having a wonderful family.
Eddy is an experienced marketing and branding professional, who now also works at Kean University after working in a variety of external affairs roles in the Monmouth University Department of Athletics. He most recently served as the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Sponsorships, leading the department’s marketing, branding, sales and licensing initiatives.
