Timandra Harkness - 'Technology just reflects what we want of it'

Timandra Harkness is a writer and presenter. She has presented many programmes for BBC Radio about technology and how it interacts with society. 

She has written a new book called Technology is Not the Problem, arguing that the problem is not algorithms, but the need to create technology to feed our desires.

We discussed how the advancement of technology has affected us as a society, as individuals and on a global level, whether recent technology has made society more homogenous and the cognitive impact of relying on technology, instead of developing skills ourselves.
