15 - Leningrad

Nazi Germany's siege of Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) is an open wound in the city's history. Kaplan, who lived and worked in the city for most of his adult life, returned to his home when the siege was lifted, and created a series of prints that capture the process of recovery and renewal.
