Film Haven Reviews

On this show I give my first impressions of the films I watch, new and old, catergorized in themes of three (Example: Trucker Movies, WWI movies), and then I rate them from 1-10.

Welcome back to Film Haven Reviews!!! This week we are continuing our "Ritual Horror" theme with the VERY ritual based film A Dark Song (2017).
This movie is probably the most step by step ritualistic film I have ever seen. It's not flashy, its not big-budgeted, its just good script writing and good acting. I gave this film a 7.5/10 because it gave me everything I wanted from this theme, but was maybe not as accessible or rewatchable as our last week's film Anything For Jackson (2020). However, I would still recommend this as a staple of its genre and a must watch for people who are into Occult Horror.
