I was so fortunate to actually study with Tori and one of her psychic courses, where she was really fascinating. And what I loved about her and her teachings is that she really makes it more structured and more even analytical in a way that really takes that veil off this field of study and practice. And today, my intention for this episode is to try to lift the veil around clairvoyance, clear up any stigmas around it, and inspire more people and more practitioners to develop this incredible skill. With that said, I would love to introduce Tori. And if you would like to set it your own intention, please feel free to do so.
SPEAKER_00Well, hello, uh Yuli. Thank you for having me. And I'm so excited about your new venture here and including me in your podcast and in your new company. So thanks for having me. My intention would just be the meaning of clairvoyant, which is just seeing the truth, clarity. Yeah, that's that's what the intention is. Sure. Raising the conversation to clarity.
SPEAKER_01That sounds wonderful. And since you started from the subject, I would love to really clear up some of the basics. Let's talk about the definitions. There's so many names for what you do, and so many amazing, skillful people do. There's the Clarboyne, there's psychic, there's tarot readers or fortune tellers, intuitive readers, mediums. There's all those terms. And I think a lot of times some of them might mean the same thing, some of them mean totally different things. And I think a lot of people get confused. So if you can clear that up first, I think that would be very helpful to our audience.
SPEAKER_00Sure, yes. So being a clairvoyant means you are interested in seeing the truth, creating clarity and healing through communication, communication at the level of your forehead, seeing, seeing the truth. So noticing, observing, and watching growth in others and the best possible outcomes. So over the last 36 years, and I trained at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, and then I've worked in all different psychic types of arenas and contexts. From New Orleans, I was a psychic in the square and Jackson Square and the shops. I have been, you know, the psychic teacher in San Francisco and New York and all over. So clairvoyance is the ability we all have to be neutral. If you touch your forehead, take a look at something with neutrality and just see what you see. We have a clairvoyant system, and I wrote about this in my book, The Clairvoyant Practitioner. The clairvoyant system is the combination of all of your chakras in your body. We just count seven main ones with the hands and feet. And each part of your body, each center has a different ability to tune in to the energetic world. All right. The sixth chakra in the forehead is the clairvoyant ability. And it is the overarching psychic ability that you can use to tune into your own other psychic abilities. So, like clairsentience, I'm sure people have heard about below the navel, the ability to feel other people's feelings and feel something in a room. Then we have the clair audience, which is the ability to hear spirit, telepathy, all these different abilities that we have. We use the clairvoyant center in the forehead to be able to see all of these different abilities in ourselves, turning them up, turning them down, gaining control of things. So I, in my book, talk about as a clairvoyant, you have the ability to take control of all of your psychic abilities. And a psychic ability is simply a sensitivity that you have, the way you tune into the world. Most people are clairsentient rather than clairvoyant. So you'll know it by the language. I'm feeling, I'm sensing, I'm getting, I'm picking up. And most healers are naturally this way, and especially women, because we have a lot of permission to feel and sense and pick up and get. But whatever you say, those words you're using, you're literally doing. You're picking up someone's sadness. And then you end up getting confused and thinking it's yours after you've walked away from them or if they feel better walking away from you. And so when you're clairvoyant, you can have an emotion or feeling in the body. And then you can come up to the clairvoyant center, if anyone wants to listen, touch your forehead and say, whoa, what is that? Separate from it, become neutral, see the truth of the emotion. It's not mine, it's somebody else's, and let it go. So being clairvoyant just simply means you have the ability to become neutral and take a look at something. And then as a clairvoyant reader, you are someone that's just looking for the best possible outcome in your reading. You're looking for a way to see the blocks for them and the way that it's something's blocking. It's like you're the vision area, you're offering a vision. So the reason that it gets a bad rap, you know, clairvoyant, psychic, is because over the centuries, psychic people have had to make money that way. So it becomes manipulative and it's a fortune-telling gypsy idea. And when I worked in New Orleans, I was surrounded by that. And so if you drop down to the stomach area to give a reading, or even below the navel, what you're doing is you're trying to get power over that person. So see if I can explain it. I'll give you an idea. I was sitting in Jackson Square, New Orleans. I was living there in my 20s, thinking this is so much fun. And I'd already trained at the Berkeley Psychic Institute. So I knew how to give a reading from my sixth chakra. So I'm just going to see something for somebody, which is I see you growing. I see you in a relationship that's not serving you. And I see you moving away from that. From the stomach level or below, the gypsies around me would hawk people in by saying, You need to break up with them. You need to do this, giving advice. And that's the opposite of what I do as a clairvoyant. We don't give advice. Right. So we say, I see you eating more green vegetables and feeling better, instead of I need you need to eat this way or you need to do this, break up with somebody. Right. So it's from where you do the reading. And so in the in Jackson Square, I was surrounded by people hawking and manipulating people in. They're seeing the pictures in people's auras, their fears, and reading from their fears. And I'm reading from their best possible outcome, reading from their best possible highest self.
SPEAKER_01This is fascinating. I mean, I love your explanation because it makes so much sense and it kind of put things in a in some perspective for people. So, how do you know to differentiate? Like obviously, uh a regular person, do we have the ability to know if you're reading for that from that higher self or your reading from the absolutely.
SPEAKER_00It's all language. And I actually have a master's in English as well. And a teacher of English in the academic and intuitive realm. So as an intuitive teacher, I kind of cross over into my English teacher zone, and you were in my class. So my emphasis is on your language. So when you're communicating with someone for a healing, you want to say that I'm seeing you in this way and observing, watching, noticing. You can get a post-it and just write on all the observation words: seeing, noticing, observing. You stay in your head by saying I'm hearing. You can touch the top of your head and say, I'm knowing this about you. But once we drop down into I'm feeling this, I'm sensing, I'm getting, I'm picking up, then you drop down into that clairsentient reading space, which is just empathy, sympathy. And it really doesn't push or allow anyone to move forward or heal or grow. You just kind of keep them company in their misery. So you always want to, you can give that person some sympathy at first. Poor you, poor you, poor you, poor you. I feel for you. And then I say set the sand timer. Once that runs out, then come up to your forehead and say, Oh, I see your resilience. I see how strong you are, and that this has been happening for a while. Then it's going to give them the insights they can't see for themselves. Kind of like standing on the side of the ditch and pulling them out of it, not jumping in there with them. So your language is going to tell you if you're doing a clairvoyant reading.
SPEAKER_01That's a great advice. And I love it because it's really so simple just to notice that.
SPEAKER_00Notice, yes. You used it. You noticing, yes. And that keeps you neutral and it makes you a better reader, better healer, better communicator. So you watch the person. So as they're complaining or they're upset or they want to pull you into their victim place, I teach a tool called a protection rose. So you stand behind your rose and you watch them in whatever energy they're in, and then you observe it, and then you can just give that observation. I'm watching how you are taking things into your stomach right now. I'm watching how, you know, there is a cord from that person running through you. It just so much more information. That's clairvoyant reading. The person at the end of a reading is going to feel a lot of hope, going to feel like a lot of space because you've just cleared something up for them. A truth resonates and clears.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that's a great point. And I I can agree more. Unfortunately, sometimes you only realize that at the end, but like that feeling at the end, right? Do I feel uplifted or do I feel, you know, even more deeper into the issues that I came with? And I think that's always like, you know, great professionals like yourself. You always find a way, even in the toughest situations, right? You find a way to uplift the person.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The goal is to empower your client, your VD, Healy. You want to empower them so they don't need you. You're giving them so they don't walk away saying, My psychic told me I need to do this. It's going to be, wow, she just saw this for me and I see it too. And now any choices I make are from me, from my decisions. So if someone says, tell me about this relationship, well, I'm going to say, I'll give you insights into what I see. I'm not going to give you any advice. And usually from those true insights, you can help them support the other person in the relationship. You can support them in their choices. And then you're empowering the client not to be dependent on you. So you know you've done a good job if the client walks away feeling like they have a next step. They're feeling empowered. Especially, you know, like people come to me that want to know what to do for their purpose, their career, right? So they know that it's not just run on the psychic told me to do this. I'm helping ignite what it is that's inside of you so that you're empowered. That's the goal of a clairvoyant.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I I love this so much. Oh, good. I feel empowered already. And I feel like well, you are empowered for you. But I I think it's a great skill of a healer, right? It doesn't matter what tools you use through clairvoyance or other modalities. It's that ability to heal someone during your session. So, and and you're so skilled in that. But I want to dig a little deeper into again going back to those definitions because I just feel like I want to make it like crystal clear, right? Because there's also, I think a lot of people come to this expecting some connection to the other worlds, to people who are diseased, to other, you know. Yeah. So how how does that fit into this idea of giving them the insights and empowering? Do you use those channels or it's a different field on its own?
SPEAKER_00Uh no, it's not a different field. So being a clairvoyant means you have access to all of your psychic abilities. And so all it needs is to be developed. All right. So mediumship, I'm glad you brought that up. That's very popular. But what I teach my students and what I was taught at the Berkeley Psychic Institute back in the 1980s when I was there is that we're reading the person sitting in front of us, the one that's in the body. All right. And then our goal as a reader, as the healer, communicator, is not to channel any entities through us. We actually have all the information we need in this body we're in for this time space now, 2023, that we're in. Okay. So this is the frequency we're in. So any entity that we would channel through us, any spirit, then that would not be as knowledgeable as us. The spirit-to-spirit communication is what we're doing. So the person in the readie, the person that I'm giving the reading to, may want to sit down and just only hear about the spirits around them. They don't want to know about themselves. But I need to anchor the reading in saying hello to that person sitting in the chair in their body. And what are their motivations for wanting to speak to their deceased grandmother, their deceased mother? What is the connection there? What is what is missing? What is lacking? What is the pain? Address that and then give them hope by saying hello, tuning in to their spirits around them and messages that would be for their best possible growth, not random messages, but messages that are tuned in, because I want to tune in to the person sitting in the chair. I want to make sure they're healed and they feel good. So any messages that I'm going to hear, which are claire audience messages, are just simply going to be ones that help them in their purpose. So if it's a grandmother that was a surly grandmother around them, I'm only going to inform that spirit from my space to that spirit that I just want to hear what they have to say for this person's best possible growth. And then I convey that. So it makes a really powerful healing space and then empower that person if they really want to communicate to spirit. I give them a little lesson on the spot, how they can communicate to that spirit on their own. And so I do this a lot with women that want to get pregnant. They feel the baby spirits around them, and I empower them to communicate with those baby spirits so that they don't need to talk to call me to have me communicate, right? The relationship isn't from me, it's from them. So a good clairvoyant is going to instruct and empower that person to continue after we're done communicating with them. So the best time that spirit likes to come in maybe, oh, they like to talk to you when you're in the shower. So now the person didn't realize that. Oh, okay, when I'm in the shower, I'm going to say hello. And instruct them on what it feels like, a little buzz in the ear, or they like to send feathers. And they may already know this, but I'm confirming it for them. A lot of times people are everybody's psychic, everybody's psychic, unless you're an Android robot, which I haven't met anyone like that. Everybody has the ability to hear and see. We have ears because we hear spirit. We have eyes because we see, not the other way around. So everybody can do these things. And I just help you wake up to them, get confidence about it, take the next step in it. If you're coming to me for a reading, then it's a high-level space, then that means that you're ready to grow and advance in these areas. I think the term psychic gets a bad rap because people immediately go to what's in the movies, what is uh the gypsy picture on a psychic. And basically it's an energy exchange, spirit to spirit communication. That's all it is. But a psychic can get a going towards the gypsy picture, fortune teller, I call it, is where people expect, and I've used tarot cards plenty. I teach tarot uh classes because tarot is really just a way to do readings outside with your eyes open and open spaces, and you can be awake while you're reading, because don't normally I go into a light trance, and we can look at the pictures together, but the reading is taking place the I'm reading the person, not the cards. So the cards aren't doing the reading. And so I always teach my students to read with nothing, just read energy, read your reading screen, I inform you, before you have tools like cards and things. It's not the other way around. Get a deck of cards and start to learn to read. No, you read first, then the cards trigger you, and the ready too. And as the ready looks at the cards with you, you see them triggered and you see, oh, their dad around them. You see, you see all sorts of things from the cards. The cards are always magical, but you want to be an experienced reader before you use cards because you want to stay in charge of the reading. The cards aren't doing the reading. You want to stay connected to the reedy. So a fortune teller is going to be reading from the stomach area, not the heart and up. They're going to be wanting to keep you coming for more, keep you giving you advice. So you know you're getting a reading from a gypsy fortune teller when it's about advice. You'll hear, you need to, you have to, you're gonna want to, you must. That is not a clairvoyant reading. Okay.
SPEAKER_01That that is uh you clarified it so beautifully, and I hope more people listen to this because it it just like it's so helpful. I think it's to educate people, right? And help us lift some of those stigmas. Because I mean, just listening to you and looking at your background and all the education and you know, you've done so much to establish yourself professionally, right? And have this, uh like I just love your approach to this ancient science, right? That is very methodical and systematic. And I'm just curious to hear, like, how did it come to you naturally? Did you always feel like this was a path and and you have to do it, but you have to do it in a systematic way? How did you develop your system? I just again, I've never heard anyone talking about it the way you talk. So I'm curious how that all came about and how you worked to establish yourself professionally.
SPEAKER_00So I've always felt on the fringe, you know, an observer more as a child, very sensitive. And that's why I was an elementary teacher for a while, because I wanted to help these sensitive children. Many of us that are healers, natural healers, that means we want to help people. We're in service here, like in the light. We uh tend to be very sensitive children and we're wide open. And children are wide open anyway. But when you're an extra sensitive, wide open child, then you need a lot of support. And I was always searching for people like me. And in college, found, I was actually in graduate school college. So I was about uh 20, and I found the Berkeley Psychic Institute while I was in college and I was at San Francisco State. And they said, Oh, we teach you all the tools because you are psychic. You always are sensitive and psychic. There's just no training. In ancient times, there would have you would have been picked out of the crowd uh as a child. You know how people are apprenticed for uh Silversmith and things like that. You would have been picked out as an apprentice for some. Sensitive healing, maybe work with an herbalist in town and the village and stuff. So this that's not done anymore. So we got to find those sensitive children. They're usually kind of quiet and going their own way and, you know, really introspective and maybe spacey. So what I found was this Berkeley Psychic Institute. So I started concurrently studying there as I was getting a master's degree and just realizing that there is a way to train yourself. You can develop your psychic skills. You don't have to just keep wondering and thinking, am I psychic? And basically, you have to graduate your childhood sensitivity psychic to the adult level psychic. As children, we use all of our psychic abilities to survive. If the adults around us are unregulated, we we have to match their emotions and then we have to survive the best we can. Sometimes we're not even taken care of properly or appropriately. And so we have to kind of age ourselves and try to use our psychic abilities. And as a hypnotherapist now, I help with that. But once you're an adult, you want to upgrade all of your psychic skills. And you can do that simply through using psychic tools. And in my book, Clairvoyant Practitioner, I give them. Basically, becoming a psychic for me was it's called the Berkeley Psychic Institute because psychic is just being sensitive. And you have all these different ways to be sensitive. And clairvoyance is the way that you deliver your psychic messages, is through the sixth and the crown. Okay, the forehead and the crown. And so I took classes from this is in the 80s, so it was barely slow. It was like six weeks of meditation one, six weeks of meditation two, right? Then, you know, healing one, healing two, then the clairvoyant training program that was over a year in this cool little house in Berkeley, California. And uh just tremendous fun to sit in a reading line of other uh students and people come in off the street to get readings, and we just saw everything and anything, different entities of people channeling things, gurus, uh past lives, uh the astral. I learned every aspect of metaphysics within a school. And it was it was like Hogwarts. It was tremendously fun. So what that has done is shaped me because I went on to get a master's in education and a teacher with this background in all these different concepts, metaphysical concepts. So basically, the difference between me and someone uh that hasn't trained is I just have certainty about them. And often people that would come to me for a reading or for classes, they even have some past lives experience with being a healer and knowing metaphysical concepts. And I just remind you in the classes what you remember. I help you remember what it is that you know, and then upgrade you to the adult level where you can actually be resourceful. You don't need to activate your psychic abilities to survive. You can activate them to heal others, to be curious, to be playful. Many people come to me and they're they're like, I think that I'm psychic, but I've got all these problems. Okay, well, the problems you're labeling your creativity in your life as problems as a way to access your intuition. So let's call those things creative endeavors, creative situations, and then you can open up your intuition in a positive way, not to survive. Like people want to be psychic, they're yearning to open up their abilities. And because from childhood they think, oh, the way that I get to use them and reason to use them is because I have a problem, an emergency, something's wrong. But you don't need that anymore once you're not a child. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah. Childhood, we're we're using our psychic abilities for survival. Once you're an adult, you don't need to use your psychic sensitive abilities for survival anymore. So you can just use it to manifest things, to create a healing in your relationship. Yeah, to to just start to explore your own psychic abilities. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How how do you think people know that, you know, as you said, it's we all have those abilities, but what is the difference between someone who is able to do it professionally and help other people versus someone who can just use it for their own pleasure? And is it just developing it through education and courses like yours, where there's more to that?
SPEAKER_00Well, you know, people that want to do this for a living, like I do, have a proclivity for it, like will just feel satisfied in their purpose and fulfilled when they can communicate with someone and heal them through communication. There's a lot of people that have been in my courses over the years that aren't interested in hanging a shingle, you know, psychic, you know, they just want to use it to have a better relationship with their family and their children and and find the job that they enjoy and just feel more empowered when they're in a room full of people because they're so sensitive. We tend to be sensitive to be able to sustain a cocktail party or something, you know, to be able to give a speech. So it's an empowerment thing to develop your intuition as an adult. Everyone should. We're kind of stuck in childhood. So we want to get out of that childhood intuition and come into the adult level that we are. Some people want to hang a shingle and do this. So that is that you know that you want to do that. And you could you could even work at Starbucks and still be the psychic behind the cash register, you know, with the other co-workers, you know, giving them insights and things. But the the idea is that we always want to do a reading that's solicited and not one we're just, you know, it's good for TV, you know, where you go in the the psychics in the grocery store just blabbing out, hey, your mother, your grandmother's there. You don't want to, you don't want to bring people off kilter. So you wanna you want to have that person know you're giving them a reading. You know, they have to say, you know, you have to give ask permission. What's happened lately, and I noticed over the years, since in the 80s, I developed my psychic abilities because I just I found my people and I was home. I was like, this is me. Uh felt really like I was seen for the first time. And that's what I like to do with my clients is to help them feel seen. The gateway psychic exploration is been Reiki over the years. Reiki has opened people up and given them permission to develop their intuition in a certain way, and because society has accepted Reiki. And then massage and yoga and acupuncture have all become normal. I call them the gateway into being using your intuition, like you're you have permission to do that, and it's a way to define yourself as a healer and a psychic person. And then to take it further, learning clairvoyance lets you, I call it the Mary Poppins bag. You have all your tools in that Mary Poppins bag from massage and Reiki and all the different modalities you've learned. Clairvoyance is turning on that little light in your forehead that lets you look into the bag. So you can look at the person you're working with and look into the bag and organize it, choose which modality and what combination you want to use. So clairvoyance is your ability, like I said, to access all your psychic abilities, all your tools and trainings. It just organizes it. Because once we're emotional, we're matching somebody, we want to stop, come up to the sixth chakra, and then become the healer again. You know, step back and go, let me see how I can help, you know, how I can serve.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I totally know what you're talking about because some of the best healers I've seen, you know, it could have been like an acupuncturist or or someone who is, you know, completely. I I come for one thing with my shoulder pain. And then, you know, she sees something that is completely related to my teenage years, right? That related to that shoulder problem I thought about. So but those are the most wonderful sessions because there's that whole like mind, body, spiritual connection, and you're able to heal sometimes even physical pain, right, through those like psychic sessions. And I I when you have a chance to explore that, that's just pure magic. Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I I would say any energy healer, any medical person, I have a lot of medical people, anyone, any psych psychologists, anyone that's working with the heal in the healing profession should develop their clairvoyance, their ability to see what psychic what's going on in that person, kind of a scan, and then be able to address that with multiple modalities. It's kind of like when I was a school teacher, if I was gonna teach math, you need multiple ways to approach the math problem because everyone's coming from a different place to hear. So, you know, here's the standard algorithm of the math problem. Okay, you're gonna use some blocks to count and see it, visualize it. You know, when you're a clairvoyant healer, then you can really see how to communicate clearly to the person you're healing and see what they need to hear and give them. Yeah, it's on the menu, we'd say. Oh, okay, I'm gonna give you a massage, but I can also let you know what I'm seeing is what's you're releasing. I can give you acupuncture, but I can also see what where the root cause is if you'd like me to look at that. Always with permission, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yes, of course. Of course. And I'm seeing it also as a trend, right? It's developing. Like you mentioned, you know, uh, we started with some of those modalities that are now more accepted, and but I see more and more healers, you know, having that toolbox, and they specialize sometimes in 10 or 20 things, right? And they don't know sometimes when uh the challenges, I think, for many of them, when you see a client, how do you even define your session, right? They come for a massage, but you end up opening your toolbox with like modalities.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, yeah, that sets you apart. You know, so it's really you are the healer, it's your business, and they're buying you. You're they're they're you and you set your prices according to your value of you. You're unique. So you're not gonna be the, you know, you can see another healer doing similar things, charge that or more, definitely, usually more because you're selling your uniqueness, definitely. But yeah, developing the clairvoyance, getting confidence. So the difference is having confidence in your skills and abilities. You know that you're doing a clear sentient healing, which is going to end up getting stuck in your body if you're sensing, feeling, getting, picking up. You want your language to be about seeing, observing, noticing.
SPEAKER_01Got it. And, you know, you've done such a great job, also. I mean, you have amazing confidence as a professional, right? And establishing your business. And, you know, since in this podcast, I always love that to touch also on the topics of business and really help um healers to develop those skills and learn from people like yourself, who is not just, you know, talented and have the skills in what you do, but is able actually to build this multidimensional business that has, you know, the individual sessions, the classes that you teach, the workshops, the the books, all of those different things they're they're really feeding in into your practice, right? And so can you just share some of your point of view? Because I think also a lot of people that are seeing the things you've seen, having your skills, you know, they often have challenge translating it into the three-dimensional world, right? You seem to be someone who's walking between those worlds so well. What what's your secret in doing that?
SPEAKER_00I I thank you for all that flattery. But yes, it's been a quite a journey of discovery for myself and uh just a lot of really lucky manifestation. I was uh actually, I was a teacher in Long Island, and I had come as a teacher already trained as a psychic, but of course, those two worlds, the public schools and my world of being a psychic teacher, did not mix necessarily. And then I had a bunch of things happen, which seemed like bad things. I got divorced, I had a young child, I was new, I'm from California, here I am making my way. And then the very next year or within six months, the school let me go because they had some cutbacks and I was a new teacher there, even though I had 16 years teaching experience. I got cut and I had to find my way. So I walked dogs because I love doing that, and I started marketing myself again as a reader because I realized, you know, hey, when I was at the school, a lot of the teachers behind closed doors knew that I did healings and readings, and I would just we'd close the door illegally, and I'm in there giving a healing and a reading, and the words spread. So maybe the principal found out, you know, the the public schools and the that that world don't mix, which they should, because the children are just so open and full of love, and they love to find out about their souls and spirits and things like that. But that's another topic. So once I was out of there, I thought, you know, whoa, this is, you know, this is tough. But basically I had a prayer in the background, an intention that, you know, I wanted to really express my true purpose and fulfillment as being a psychic teacher, you know, to really not have any blocks or ceilings on me because I was so restricted in the public school, really expressing myself, you know, behind closed doors and this is a secret. And that so I just let it fly and I started to market myself as a psychic. And a lot of those people I'd already given readings to, and especially at the yoga studio where I was, were willing to let me give them a reading, which I thought was just, I was so grateful. I was like, oh, you're gonna let me give, oh, great, because then they could be a referral. And I made it clear that yes, I'm giving this to you at a discount or for free, but please tell your friends and write me a testimonial, but this is just for you for free. Make sure that's clear because you don't want them to tell their friends, hey, and it's free. She's so cheap. You want to say, no, she's a great reader, but let me discuss price. So you always say that. And then it just spread. I had word of mouth, it spread. I started to post some ads. I went and got an office. I really threw my hat over the wall, as they say. You know, I didn't really have things going, but I acted as if I did. And so I had an office for people to come to. I shared it with an acupuncturist. I just had this huge network grow because I was in this adversity of being a newly divorced woman, single mom, jobless. And I'm like, what are my skills? What do I love to do? And I had done it very well back in California, but you know, so I was able to start earning money. It was tremendous. I had to charge what I was worth. And it was a little scary to say my fee, but people started paying it. And before I knew it, I was actually making a living way better than a school teacher. And then from there I got real lucky. I uh met some friends that worked in news broadcast and got me on the news, and I got on several shows. I got on I'm trying to remember on all different shows and news and in the newspaper. And I got to be part of the Long Island Paranormal Research Society. Basically, once you put it out to the universe that this is what I want to do, this is who I am, and it feels risky, people come out of the woodworks to say, hey, I have a friend that would love to have you come read a haunted house. And we're gonna do a newspaper article on you. So I I got all these things happening and just kept going from there.
SPEAKER_01That that's an incredible story and and very inspiring because that was one of my questions too. You seem to be so successful with you know getting press and and also being so well spoken about what you do and a great just spokesperson for the community. And I was wondering how that came about. If you can just talk touch a little more about your it seems like it was very natural to you, the the marketing skills that you have, but do you still did you do something special to kind of like position yourself attractive to those media opportunities, for example?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was just really putting myself out there in the way that with all my enthusiasm and talking to as many people as possible, having my business card on me, knowing that if someone is was in front of me, they needed to hear it. You know, oh, this is what I do. And, you know, they might be shocked for a second, but then they'd be curious and intrigued. It's amazing because abundance money and making success being a success at whatever you do is a currency. Money is called currency, and abundance is also part of that currency. So, and it's also people and connection. So the more you talk about what you do, what you're excited about, people will connect you. It's your business is the people because you're a healer. So it's people. So you're connecting to as many people as possible. And that's how I would get referrals. I would just say, I'm interested in that. And believe me, I was a little nervous. I was a little, it was risky. Like I think I can do this haunted house reading and uh be interviewed on the newspaper and you know, and the New York Daily News. And, you know, I I just did it. They came to my house for another article. And uh, you just basically my training is to, and I train you in clairvoyant training, is to establish your root, your crown chakra. Okay, so you're grounded at the root, but your crown chakra is that certainty, that expertise. And what that means is you don't have all the answers in the moment, but you do know how to get them. You're resourceful. So you keep your crown chakra really tuned into your higher self. And then you can, you can say, you, you know what to do, you know what to say, and you have you come off as an authority. I had to use this as a teacher. You know, I didn't know what was gonna happen from day to day in that big classroom. And I was as a seventh grade teacher, 120 students, several classes. I didn't know what was gonna happen, but I had to act like I knew what was going on. So that's what you do when you're ready to start your business. You act as if you already have your business going and you are the expert. And when you charge what you charge, you're gonna deliver what it is that you're uh what you're charging to this person. You know you're gonna give them everything. The really important thing that people don't realize is that when you're a healer, especially a clairvoyant delivering messages for communication, it's never a performance. Even if you're on a stage, even if you're on the TV show, it's it's a it's never a performance. You're doing it for you. You're reading because you're curious about that person. You're curious about that. I was on a show at the Hard Rock to read the guitars and instruments of dead rock stars. And so, and they hid the name, and I had to read, it's on YouTube now. I had to read the guitar, and and it seemed to match up for John Lennon, for all the different guitars. I didn't know whose it was, but every time I read it, it matched whose guitar it was. And so I just I did it because I was curious, right? You're never performing, and so any reading or healing you do is always doing it for you. And then it's then it's authentic, you know.
SPEAKER_01Then it's solid solid advice. And you gave so many amazing like nuggets of information here. I love the whole, you know, the the confidence, and you're a great example of that too. So when you talk about it, it makes so much sense. But I also love this idea of empowering people to talk about what they do because I think a lot of us kind of like hide behind, or unless we asked, right? We don't volunteer that information, but you're absolutely right. You should be proud of what you do, should we talk more about it because you never know? And and people actually are curious more than you think. Yeah. So I'm I'm gonna take that, even personally, I'm gonna take that advice from you.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know, some of not talking about what you do is because you don't want to be responsible for their growth period. And if you say something that's gonna blow their mind, you know, gonna wake them up, uh-oh, now I've gotta be responsible for their reaction. You're not. Once you decide that you're not responsible for what you say and communicate, that person now, their growth period is their, you know, especially if if they've enlisted in next with you and you ask them, is it okay if I tell you what I'm seeing? Instead of the grocery store TV show, you know, you know, those people were taken by surprise. But we often don't want to talk about what we. Do because now we feel responsible. And it's it's nice to know that just, you know, I gave you a hello, I gave you a little insight. If you would like some help more, you know, here's my card, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That's a great way to put it. So speaking of seeing things, is there, I have to ask you, is there something that you see for healist and for our future that you can share?
SPEAKER_00Well, knowing you, Yuli, and all of your skills, I love the way you integrated your psychic self with your business and computer knowledge and all the things that you do. I just love how it you integrated it and developed this beautiful platform to support healers and all the different modalities that healers practice. So I see that you've got a vision that is very comprehensible, easy for people to understand. Like I love that it's quick, like hop right in, it doesn't take long. You've got an instant way to get your message out there, definitely, and a way to put themselves online in a beautiful way with scheduling and website look, all that stuff. So you really understand what's going on, what the difficulties can be establishing yourself as a healer in whatever modality you're you're doing. And I see like a lighthouse up ahead. Like, here you go, here's where you can find your way. People are in their storm of trying to figure it out, and maybe they have a few friends, but they're still working at an office and they like to just do this alone. Do this. And I and it would have been nice to have you around when I was just starting Dog Walker. I would have been like, yeah, put me up because I don't have the money for a website. So it's it's a great service. And I see you very grounded. You've set up everything nicely, it's come together. I do see that when you there's a connection to the quantum field that is different about you. And the quantum field, I always talk about that with all my clients. The quantum field is the infinite field of potential, and it's like a farmer's field. And you plant a seed in it, and then the conditions are right, like a farmer, you step back and just watch it grow. And so you're offering some kind of a uh extension of the quantum field, something that they can plant their little seed in there, and you're going to be that creating those conditions for it to grow in the quantum field, something that's actually accessible through the computer. The quantum field we can envision and imagine, but you're giving them something practical as part of the quantum field. Access this field. And that's a big generosity that you're offering here to thank you. Because it's you're you're creating like, yeah, this this friendly little field, this fertile field for them to plant their seed in of their business. And then your job will be to make sure it integrates into the greater potential so that the whole world can find them. Yeah. So you're you're doing good work, and it looks like work of, you know, right in your Acaciak records. It's right, it's from one of the books off the shelf, you know? It's like you brought it down, you're doing it. Yeah, and it's it's spreading quickly. People will hear about it, know about it. Yeah. And you know, it's a nice vibration. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. That was a beautiful reading. And so on. This is exactly this is exactly how I'm working with the quantum field. And it's just a whole fascinating subject on its own, which makes it talk about. But I love the the lighthouse metaphor. That's just very beautiful. Thank you so much, Tori. This was such an uplifting and empowering episode. I absolutely love talking to you. You are incredible. Please do what you do. Thank you. And come back again anytime.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it's so much fun. I love talking about this anytime. And talking with you is a great conversation. Thank you. Thank you, sorry.
