RJ Nealon "The One Handed Bandit" Speical Olympics North America sports Journalist
On this episode of Brave in the Attempt Wyatt interviews RJ Nealon. RJ who is a Sports Journalist for Special Olympics North America and a Jujitsu adaptive athlete. RJ talks about what it was like for him growing up with Cerebral Palsy the challenges he faced with CP. People told RJ he couldn't go to college that he wouldn't be a sports Journalist just because he has Cerebral Palsy. Well RJ didn't listen to those negative comments. He played Wide Receiver for his high school football team where he got his nickname "The one Handed Bandit". RJ competed in Special Olympics swimming and basketball. His favorite memorize are playing Unified basketball with his younger brother and there friends. In high school RJ struggled in School but he didn't let that stop him from going for his dreams of going to The university of Alabama. Today RJ is doing what he loves the most Competing in Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments around the US and writing sports stories on Special Olympics athletes.
