Nebraska men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg
Wyatt interviews university of Nebraska men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg. Coach Hoiberg was a top recruit coming out of High School in Ames Iowa as a basketball and football player. Hoiberg talks about his playing career in college at Iowa state and what is was like adapting to the NBA. Hoiberg talks about the people that were a great role model for him during his NBA career like hall famer Reggie Miller. Hoiberg played 10 years in the NBA but a heart condition forced him to retire. Hoiberg talks about the adversity he faces with heart condition. But how he didn't let that stop him from being a college basketball coach. Hoiberg and his players have been a big support for special Olympics. To hosting serval summer basketball camps for Special Olympics athletes. Hoiberg himself has spoken at several events for Special Olympics 2006 USA games Opening Ceremonies at Iowa State and then the 2024 Breakfast of Champions in Omaha Nebraska.
