Nothing is as it seems when the Moon slips into Aquarius, and we lean into that on purpose. Today’s astrology forecast is built on lunar astrology, so we start with the basics: the Void of Course Moon finally breaks, the Moon enters Aquarius, and we’re in a waning phase that rewards winding down over pushing harder. If your brain wants answers but your body wants space, that’s not you being “off” that’s timing, and it’s useful information.
From there, we zoom out to Gemini season and the strange abundance of options it brings. Think of it like opening a restaurant menu: you’ve already chosen the kind of experience you want, and now you’re navigating preferences, influence, and impulse. With the Sun no longer conjunct Uranus, life can feel a little less topsy-turvy, and sharper perception plus quick communication comes back online. But there’s a twist that matters for every sign.
Mercury is in Cancer, and that changes how we speak, decide, and handle tension. Facts and metrics can wobble while intuition gets louder, and “reading the room” becomes a real skill. We talk about taking a top-down view, asking better questions, and “flying by instruments” when visibility is low. We also get practical about where to put your curiosity tonight: alternative news sources, alternative entertainment, live music, local shows, and reconnecting with the world beyond a screen, plus a quick detour into Roquefort cheese history and songwriter Tony Wine. Subscribe, share this with a curious friend, and leave a review. What question are you asking today that could change your whole week?

Aquarius Moon And Waning Energy
SPEAKER_01Astrology Time Shane here, dailyastrocat.com, and today is Thursday. It is the 4th of June. So let's go. The moon enters the fixed sign of Aquarius at 9.46 in the morning today. We've had a Void of Course moon practically all night. Really didn't bother us that much, though, right? So we're asking ourselves a lot of questions, and we're coming up with a number of different answers. I love how different folks resonate with the various moons, right? I get the comments all the time, and people are constantly, oh, I did this, I did that. I love those comments. Please keep them coming, okay? The astrology for today is a little bit um a little bit different because uh, you know, think about it. Daily AstroCat at its heart is based on lunar astrology. The moon is our closest body, the closest body in space, right? And she's tidily locked with our planet. As such, we only see her one face when she is full. She's waning, so our energy is going to be best spent kind of winding down, right? Now, think about the school year for the K-12 kids, right? They're just winding down, right? And then when they get back, probably before they're out of school, that sun is gonna be new. Uh I mean, that moon will be new in uh in uh in um Gemini, and they're gonna want to just go, right? They're they're not gonna be interested in school anymore. Summertime will begin. It'll be like crazy. It'll be like, let's get on to the next thing. The school year is so over. Okay. At least I remember it being that way. Maybe you do too. Now uh now this will kind of this kind of runs counter to the calendar month, though, because think about it. That calendar month, yeah, right? The um June began just after the full moon in Sagittarius. So, but interestingly enough, interestingly enough, that vibe, that learning vibe from that Sagittarius moon is carrying through, right? It's carrying through to the next lunation. So we're in a better spot to be learning some things. That learning vibe, right? That that's what we're that's what what we're seeing through. And in Capricorn, that energy was spent on some practical stuff. Now the moon enter is entering Aquarius, and we're gonna light up the first first Aquarius, oh, first Uranus, and then Pluto later on in the day. So uh nothing is as it seems. Yet intuitively we can sense just how skewed things really are. The alternatives are being considered, and today's keyword, good keyword for Aquarius, is inquisitive. So, our color is lilac. We're just at we're ending, we're getting towards the end of the lilac season. So before they fade, we'll use that for a color.
Gemini Season Options Like A Menu
SPEAKER_01The Gemini season tends to present us with many options. It's like the first look at a menu in a restaurant, really. This is easier for me than most of you because uh thanks to food allergies, I'm my choices are limited, right? However, my own situation aside, once we walk in the door, think about this. You've already made a decision. You decided about the cuisine, what you're gonna, you know, what the basis is for it. So, huzzah, you're there, right? You're halfway there. Now, but now we begin a selection process based on our preferences, what looks good on the tables around us, and what our companions may be choosing. Some people may use a recommendation from the wait staff. All right. We're at this stage of this Gemini season. The sun is at 13 degrees Gemini. So that sun, that means the sun is no longer conjunct with Uranus. So things begin seeming a little less topsy-turvy and volatile, right? A little less like it could change in an instant, right? Uh because it was feeling that way before. It was feeling very changey, um, for lack of a better word. Like we were, we were just um, you know, going from here to there, to here to there. Now, we used a pinball analogy back in a back a little while ago, right? Now, with things seeming less volatile, our perceptions, they're sharp. And our communication, that's pretty glib, right? Well, unless you're trying to do this live, in which case you're tripping over your words. It's three in the morning anyway. And our ability to improvise is also pretty good. Thinking on the fly, thinking on our feet.
Mercury In Cancer Reads The Room
SPEAKER_01Now we have to consider Mercury and Cancer. Oh, okay. So we have all this good stuff from the season, but now we've got the ruler of Gemini plunged into the waters of cancer. So the fundamentals, the metrics, and our ability to deliver consistent results, let's begin to waver a little bit, right? There's a powerful reason for that, and the reason is lunar compatibility. Just like that calendar. The calendar's clashing with the natural order of the season. So ask yourself why. We just would all love to live that natural way, right? And inquisitive is a surprising key word for Aquarius. Most traditional astrologers associate Aquarius with freedom and independence, quirkiness and aloofness. The inquisitive nature of this moon is what I want to focus on today. We begin to address specific problems that we perceive by asking questions. This is especially true if we're not in the heat of the moment and able to pull back, top-down view, right, and assess the problem from an emotional distance, not in the moment, not in front of people, right? We take it up on our own. The moon in Aquarius is here to bring bigger picture items to the forefront. We are going to look at the things that are going on much more seriously, but with one major advantage: Mercury and Cancer. Mercury
Flying By Instruments In Fog
SPEAKER_01and Cancer can read the room without getting specific, okay? And it helps us temper our responses. It allows us to get to the point without getting specific. This will drive earth and air signs absolutely bonkers. Anything that's good for fire and water, that produces steam. So, how are we going to get through it? Well, you've got to get used to flying by instruments only, because where visibility is low, we have to know how to utilize the things that we have at our disposal to be able to navigate those things. So Mercury is and get used to it too. Because Mercury is going to be in cancer until August 9th.
Alternative Sources And Real World Fun
SPEAKER_01So tonight's a good night to explore alternatives, alternative news sources, alternative forms of entertainment. There's a backlash in infotainment that is causing many to seek alternatives. What are you talking about, Shane? I don't know, it's in the news. So consider stepping up your offerings to help people out. Go to live music venues. Go perform. Take in a show at a local school, or get outside and touch a tree. All these things are valid, right? Feel the connection between heaven and earth. Inquisitive, right? Curious? This connection begins with you. So, a couple of interesting things
Roquefort Cheese And Tony Wine
SPEAKER_01for you. In 1070, Roquefort cheese is created in a cave near Roquefort, France. How does that work? Not only does the cheese stand alone, but it has even has a birthday. Cool. And our birth is from 1947. It is Tony Wine. Not an em not a household name. However, however, however, she's an American session singer and a writer, right? And a songwriter. She actually wrote A Groovy Kind of Love. She wrote Sugar Sugar. She wrote Candida for Tony Orlando and Don. So she's known with Tony Orlando and Don and the Archies. She actually recorded some of those songs with those artists. She was on Sugar Sugar. She was the female voice on the Archies. She was, she did record Candida with Tony Orlando and Don. So that but, but, but the most important thing is that for over 30 years, she was one of the voices of the Meow Mix Cat Foods song. She shared that with Linda November, who she also did the Don backing tracks with on the you know how it goes.
