September starts with a vibe that’s steady, practical, and quietly ambitious and we lean into it hard. With the Moon in Taurus, we feel the pull toward patience, comfort, and real-world results, not flashy promises. Add the leftover strength of Jupiter trine Saturn, and the message gets clearer: pick a direction and commit to a long-term strategic goal. This isn’t about forcing a breakthrough. It’s about building something that lasts because you finally slow down enough to do it right.
We also tap into the clean, problem-solving edge of Sun in Virgo and Mercury in Virgo. That combination is perfect for checking facts, testing assumptions, tightening your routines, and making your “magic” practical. We talk about how “Plan A becomes Plan B” can be a feature, not a failure, and why progress often arrives like waves on a beach: surging forward, pulling back, regrouping, then creeping up in a way you only notice later. If you’ve felt foggy since the eclipse season, this is a welcome return to clarity.
From there, we get honest about the larger background noise: propaganda, finger pointing, broken trust, and shifting faith. We bring it back to what you can do today, including the episode’s keyword “check.” Check your information, check your energy, and check your habits. Mercury sextile Mars adds a sharp, useful edge too, especially around tech and data, as long as you use tools to lighten your workload instead of multiplying distractions. We close with a quick history thread, from the Liberty Bell arriving in Philadelphia to the story of railroad executive Mark Hopkins Jr., then recap with color lichen and a reminder to eat well and rest.
If this helped you set your pace for the month, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a quick review so more people can find the show.

Well, what do you know? Just like that, rabbit rabbit, first of September. Today is Tuesday. It is the first of September, like I just said, and this is dailyAstrocat.com. Shane here, so let's go.
Tuesday and the moon and just Taurus at 4.01 in the morning. It's a reliable Taurus, and it's going to act in a way that's going to help us slow down a little bit, right? This pairs nicely with the Saturn energy in today's chart, because we had Jupiter and Saturn and trine right yesterday, perfected. It's going to last for about a week. So we still have that energy to go off of, right? And so look, we should have an idea of our direction. Now we need to commit to a long-term strategic goal. And that's good for Taurus kind of thinking, right? Moon and Taurus kind of thinking while we're at it. And Sun in Virgo. With Mercury in Virgo. Now we're thinking more earthy, right? With the Sun in Mercury and Mercury in Virgo, the Earth energy present will help ground us and keep us rooted and our magic practical. Now, plan A now becomes plan B. The test continues, and it's up to all of us to gather our facts, test the theories, and quite honestly, our metal. Right? Yes, see what you have inside you. Gotcha time. Now, we gain the patience and the vision to see our bigger vision, whatever that happens to be. This is a larger struggle that is ongoing like a dark game of chess. Okay. Now, there's a larger struggle that's going on. The reporting on it is based on lies and propaganda. Name calling, finger pointing, and broken trust is all around us. Faith is shifting, and the message is the message is changing. Instead of isolating our commonality, it what we're doing is it's gonna start bringing us together. Now, let's keep it that way.
And today's keyword is check. Our color is liken. Now, what we are feeling and thinking definitely needs reinforcing. Exercise? There's no excuses. Make it happen. Get it done today, right? It's the first of the month. Start yourself off on the best foot, right? Um, or how about uh we get ourselves a new blank slate to work with, or maybe a blank canvas, or a blank page, or maybe a new song, a new melody, right? We are moving cautiously and undercover. Like waves on a beach, we surge fall back and regather, reform, right? Sometimes the waves cancel each other out, right? And other times they reinforce each other and they make a bigger
wave. Mercury and Mars are sextile today, and that can lead to some interesting data applications. Look, use tech wisely, and you will lighten your workload. Alright, so patient, steady, creative, and easygoing. Sounds like Taurus Moon, right? Yes, it is. Taurus Moon is help here to help us commit to a longer course of action that will see that we'll see what? Our incre an increase in financial prospects for the better. Okay. So, Earth signs, right? That always works out that way. Okay, waiting our turn is the hardest part, however. There's a mini grand trine still there, creative grand trine between Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus. Now, that's a kind of like a uh volatile one too, right? But look, that is um it's gonna return. We always return to that. We can always fall back on that when the time is right. So use whatever charm you can and must do to help acquire new friends and allies, right? Because that's what we really need to be doing. Acquiring some new friends, acquiring some new allies, doing some of the things that we're supposed to be doing, right? We're kind of getting a little jump on a Libra season because that's our Venus and Libra, and Venus is gonna leave Libra very, very shortly. So now some look later on, make sure you eat well and get plenty of rest tonight, because Taurus loves this right there, rest and stuff like that. Taurus loves that hard. So go for it. Get yourself some sleep, get your everything, okay? Um, look, the moon and Taurus got a couple of um squares. We also have Mercury, sextile Mars, and that's where a lot of this energy is gonna start coming from because we've got a practical energy with Mercury being in one of his favorite signs, if not the most favorite of sign, right? Virgo um helping us with our our thought processes and everything like that, right? We're thinking clearer now than we have been in the last, oh, say, since the eclipses. So we really want to make sure that we're maximizing that as we're moving through the day. That's an interesting point, right? That whole analogy of the waves and stuff like that, that's that's really where we're just kind of like surging forward. Is it's almost like um you ever watch the tide on the beach? You really don't see the tide come up, it just creeps, right? The waves come up and you can watch the sand and you can watch the little wet spot in the sand where the furthest approach of the waves are. And sometimes you'll get a long one, you know, a big one that'll come up and go way up, right? And then it'll take a while for it to catch up until it surpasses that once again. We're doing that in surges, right? We're we're we're feeling that. We're feeling that um that watery kind of like approach to everything. So, that being said, first of the month, do the things you gotta do. I appreciate and love every single one of you,
okay? In 1752, Pennsylvania's new State House Bell, also known as the Liberty Bell, arrives in Philadelphia from Whitechapel Foundry in London, England. Whitechapel, yes, which is really funny because it's like we just came up on an anniversary of the um the first discovery of one of the Jack the Ripper killings that happened in Whitechapel. And so, just I think it's just fascinating the two things are together. Um, of course, it was about 150 years later for the Ripper, right? And our birth is Mark Hopkins Jr. Now, he's born Mark Hopkins Jr., but they called him Mark Hopkins uh because his dad died when he was little. So he's born in 1813, and he died in 1878. He is an American business tycoon and railroad executive. He was one of the guys that was with the guy that we talked about just yesterday, right? Was that yesterday? Oh man, it was so long ago. Um it was actually um yes, it was yesterday. It was Charles Crocker. He was one of the big four. Well, that means Mark Hopkins is one of the big four, too. Mark Hopkins was not the track boss or anything like that. He was more of a uh more of a money guy. He um had some uh stores and stuff like that, provision supplies for the uh gold rush back in California days, right? And um he's born in Henderson, New York. Now, the funny thing is he had built a large house in San Francisco. There's a hotel located at now because clearly the house burned down when uh the San Francisco earthquake in 1906, I believe. But um his widow actually married a guy from around Massachusetts named Searles. And if you're driving around Southern New Hampshire in Methuan, Mass, where he was from, you'll see Searles streets all over the place. And uh he was actually a guy that was fascinated by castles. He built the castle up in Wyndham, New Hampshire, he had another castle built, and uh cathedrals and stuff like that too. And that's all I have for you. So very interesting, right?
So anyway, let's recap, shall we? Our color is lichen, and the keyword is check, as in check, check, check, or maybe check, check, who knows? You never know what we mean, right? It's just part of the fun. Okay, so thank you for tuning in. Today is a six happy AsterCatting.
