Sin had been contained at least for a time and the God of mercy, the God who IS LOVE, now wanted to dwell amongst His people. God now asks Moses to build Him a Sanctuary, a small-scale replica of the heavenly sanctuary, so that He could be close to them and be their God. What a beautiful God we have... one Who wants to be close to us.
