Boston Bad Guys Month continues with Martin Scorsese’s Boston crime classic, "The Departed." It's a story of dueling moles (a cop inside the mob and a mobster inside the police) that raises a key question: is this a sophisticated game of chess, or just two guys aggressively panicking while using flip phone technology that seems light years away? We'll discuss Leonardo DiCaprio's slow descent into paranoia, Matt Damon's constant failing upward, and Jack Nicholson's chewing scenery like it owes him money. It’s a world of double-crosses, triple-crosses, surprise elevators executions, and a workplace culture where performance reviews are apparently conducted with a gun, and it's so good that it won 4 Academy Awards.
