no-transcript. Happy post-turkey day.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, did you guys have a great holiday?
Speaker 1:I did actually I ate, uh, a lot of food, a lot of food with fam and lived a dream. You know it was. It was classic george, you're muted oh, I had. I had so much contribution in the last five minutes, his whole intro.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yep yep, well, we're back uh with the land of eam stream uh episode what three of season four and um, almost died as many times. You guys are on Terror Island, actually on the top of Mount Terror.
Speaker 1:Ouch Terror, Facing a volcano filled with volcanoids. The island is crawling with pirates and Felmog and all sorts of nasty things. And this is the quest where uh this is the quest where you die.
Speaker 2:Yeah, You're searching for Wally's treasure, which is actually, you know, all Frex the cruel's treasure, Felmog night. Um, you've heard that the Felmog are working with the Sarpathy in some capacity and they're on the Island. Daggerheart pirates were on the Island. You actually had a little sort of run in with them when you sent a giant pterosaur egg down the mountain.
Speaker 1:Totally worth it. It was one of our finer moments. Yeah, it was a real. I meant to do that situation.
Speaker 2:You sicked a giant worm dinosaur after it. Yep, and so now, where we left off, you guys are at the peak of Mount Terror. You found an opening to get inside the mountain, where you think the treasure might be waiting. Indeed, but there are some vulcanoids, which are these crazy magma creatures? Magma and volcanic ash rock.
Speaker 1:Out of our league.
Speaker 2:Kind of like this it's a beauty, yeah, out of our league. Kind of like this it's a beauty, whoa, whoa, whoa. And as you guys are kind of thinking about what to do, you look over the side of the mountain and you see Felmog Knights and just a horde of Sarpathy marching up. Oh dear, I know.
Speaker 1:All right, so do we? Let them clear the way? I don't know, or do we try to sneak in ahead of them? You know what? This is one of those moments where I wish we still had the seed of hurricanes so we could set up.
Speaker 2:I don't know if I have anything that's useful.
Speaker 1:I don't know that I have anything either.
Speaker 2:Hello, how's it going, welcome?
Speaker 1:Masutka kakai oto Kakoito. Welcome to our show. We are about to embark on an amazing adventure, as it were yes indeed.
Speaker 2:So what are you guys thinking?
Speaker 1:Well.
Speaker 2:I'm thinking, I'm filled with terror. Yeah, which is a real rock and a hard place.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It is. I'll describe further what you see. You see a very bulky Felmog Knight leading the way. He's got a big ram horned helm with giant furs. It's very humid on the island so he must be just real sweaty under there, but he's taking it.
Speaker 1:You know why he's taking it. It's because he's undead. That's why he's doing okay right now. Oh yeah, he could be the.
Speaker 2:I wonder if it's that guy uh, there is someone who might fit that bill more um, oh yeah, it's like jaw hang off. It's like see a mummy with a sword well, there's someone whose gate is just very rigid oh, uh who's you, oh, who's you know? Decked out in similar black armor, and then there's also like a thinner looking Felmog At you know, you can assume this is Ulfrex, the Cruel Right.
Speaker 1:I'll just lay it out there. Yeah, it's pretty much gotta be him.
Speaker 2:At Ulfrex's side is sort of a sort of a sorcerer looking knight, and then behind them there's like seven Sarpathy warriors and two hyrophants jeez isn't that the guy who poisoned us, or the type of guy who poisoned us?
Speaker 1:Yeah, they're like a champion enemy. They have the arms with the snake, faces and heads and whatnot.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they're usually mutated.
Speaker 1:Oh, lordy, lordy, lord, I stand out in the middle of the road and challenge each one of them. You are riddled with arrows.
Speaker 2:A hundred arrows. The arrows are raised down, but I mean, you know, you think it'll take about half an hour.
Speaker 1:Yeah, all right. So, george, what do you say? We slip into the volcano? Yeah, we got to do it. We got to do it, if we can find the treasure first, then we can just avoid them. We got to get out of there. Yeah, at the very least get the eye of Ek, if there is one.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:If we can beat them, I have a way to get us out, maybe. Okay, all right, I'm going to look into the gaping, cavernous opening that we saw before the red light of the lava glaring upon us, and I'm going to go right towards it, but I'm going to be careful not to be spotted, because we did see the volcanoids. Not to go directly into the lava. I'm going to be careful not to be spotted because we go right into the loboids Right Not to go directly into the lava.
Speaker 2:I'm going to start it. Are you doing this too, George?
Speaker 1:I'm waiting for Riley to wave me up, if that makes sense. George, what are the chances that? Can be reasoned with. Oh, I mean low, right right. Yeah, it's got to be low, but I just don't have no idea. This is land of beam. Yeah, they're gonna. They're gonna speak, you know, with, uh, some kind of like brooklyn accent, you know get out of here, kid, you know, come on. Yeah, no, I don't know If we run in, if we get cornered by them, I imagine we're going to have to try to talk them down.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, I'm going to go towards the volcano and keep an eye out for Volcanoids. Make a sneak check.
Speaker 2:my friend, I will do it.
Speaker 1:I'm going to make that a six Nice.
Speaker 2:Nice, all right, you are able to sneak past. It will not sneak past them, but like sneak among them. But you have no clear way to wave Galen in. He was blocked.
Speaker 1:They don't know that I'm there, but they don't notice me.
Speaker 2:Right and you can't communicate with.
Speaker 1:Galen, as far as I'm concerned, you just disappeared farther in a volcano.
Speaker 2:I'm just going to find my molten corpse on the ground.
Speaker 1:Riley no, galen just is clutching his knees, rocking back and forth, worried about Riley. What are they doing in here? Are they going back and forth amongst themselves? Are they doing anything? Hashtag, just Volcanoid things, you know. Hashtag, just Volcanoid things, you know. Get that trending people, come on.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they don't. They're kind of like roaming. A lot of them are just kind of circling the place. Others are pandering about yeah, like spouting magma.
Speaker 1:Oh my god fountain lava, just like. Okay, um, okay, uh, shoot, I should try to sneak in too, because that's gonna go really well. Maybe I can distract them. Okay, um, but we can't like work in concert with each other. You know what I mean? All right, because I can't see you. Um, let's see, let's see. Yeah, maybe I'll just try to sneak in. My hero of the people would not work on these guys, right, because they're not just regular peasant folk, it's not regular peasant volcanoids?
Speaker 2:Yeah, not at all.
Speaker 1:What a useless ability they're quite inhuman.
Speaker 2:Yeah. Right Actually as you're sitting there, you do notice farther off out of this uh cavern that you're in, it looks like some shapes are carrying stones and things like further off into the volcano.
Speaker 1:When, when you say shapes, is it not obviously a volcanoid? Volcanoid, slaves, peasants who would help me?
Speaker 2:No, I mean yeah, they're Volcanoids.
Speaker 1:Okay, I'm going to sneak in that direction to see where they're headed. Are they all headed? There Are the meandering ones picking things up headed there?
Speaker 2:or are the meandering ones picking things up? Well, there's people in this. There's volcanoids in this room, not doing much beyond this cavern. There are, it looks like. Galen. What were you going to do?
Speaker 1:I was going to sneak in as well, to further muddy the waters.
Speaker 2:Do you want to wait? All right? Well, yeah, actually both of you make checks yeah, um, okay, I really have 48 xp.
Speaker 1:How much does it cost to raise a skill from negative one to zero?
Speaker 2:I thought you just spent it all to get to level 10 my level 10 yeah am I.
Speaker 1:I have 26 oh no this character. She's not updated. Talk to me, keep going talk to.
Speaker 1:GM me, baby, come on, I'm ready. Alright, oh, that's right, because we picked the relic and everything else. Yeah, jimmy, come on, come on. Come on, I'm ready. All right Night, aaron. Oh, that's right, because we did, we picked the relic and everything else and yeah, ok, so I kept second. I just didn't update my abilities. Thank you, ben, keep me honest. I don't even know. I do I remember the relic. Did we decide what the relic was Was? I don't even Do I remember the relic. Did we decide what the relic was? It was the Curio of Infinite Doors. Oh God, that's so good, okay.
Speaker 2:We're going to use that.
Speaker 1:That could really come in handy this time.
Speaker 2:It's going to definitely come in handy, just requires lots of scouting, lots of scooting.
Speaker 1:I'm going to call this out. Okay, sorry, carry on.
Speaker 2:Your roll was what?
Speaker 1:An eight.
Speaker 2:Okay, galen, are you going to roll? I am.
Speaker 1:This is going to go well because Bernard watches over me, he does, oh look at that. Look at that.
Speaker 2:Okay, riley, you got a success with a twist.
Speaker 1:I successfully sneak around the Volcanoids and then hide on a rock, but it's actually a Volcanoid that's sitting down. I love it. I'm standing in the lap of a Volcanoid that's at rest.
Speaker 2:Galen, you see this as you enter the area, and Riley has moved. Moved on further Into the cavern and you watch her, you can clearly see that it's a volcano. She's climbing on top of it.
Speaker 1:I let it happen, you know, because at this point there's no stopping Riley. Well, you know what? Can Riley see me? Or is Riley too into what she's doing? I think she's too into what she's doing yeah if I could see you, I'd be waving you over enthusiastically. And the Volcanoid's sleeping. He's dormant. And the volcanoid's sleeping, yeah, he's dormant.
Speaker 2:Riley, you just then, you feel like the heaving of its chest as it breathes.
Speaker 1:It breathes only once every five minutes it feels really warm.
Speaker 2:I go to sleep.
Speaker 1:We use it only once every five minutes. It feels really warm. I go to sleep. You're exhausted. This is kind of I'm going to slowly get off of the thing back away.
Speaker 2:Okay, Galen, if you want to get over there, you're going gonna be minus one minus one further.
Speaker 1:Um, now, now that I can see riley, I think I'm gonna wait for her to figure something out, because, yeah, I think I just have to wait until she moves, because Is there any other paths farther in, or is it pretty much just the one to go farther?
Speaker 2:Yeah, it looks like that's the biggest opening I mean who knows if there are small crevices you can fit into.
Speaker 1:I was going to search to see if there was something that we we some other passage. Um, how about this? I'm gonna discerning eye to create a weakness or a vulnerability in in something in line of sight. I'm gonna discerning eye like kind of, uh crack, big enough for us to squeeze through that. When I look through it, it's kind of off to where the wall meets the floor. Looking down, I can see a big, bigger cavern below that we might be able to get into if we squeeze through this crack. Okay, let me see if this works. Oh yes, okay, let me see if this works. Oh yes. Oh, that's 13. I uh see if I can get riley's attention.
Speaker 2:The crack has a door and another crack yeah, the vulcanoid that Riley was on starts to wake from its slumber and, uh, make a nimbleness. Check Riley, as it like just drops its rocky arms to the ground.
Speaker 1:Okay, I do a backflip off of the with the 12.
Speaker 2:All right, you. You avoid it waking up and it kind of stumbles to its feet and just like oozes magma. Oh my gosh, I back up away from it.
Speaker 1:You're like backed up against a wall um can I climb up the wall, or attempt to climb up the wall?
Speaker 2:uh, yes, but there's not like many places to go or attempt to climb up the wall? Yes, but there's not many places to go.
Speaker 1:I have an idea. I get out the druidic rope and demand it to go to Riley's hands. We're holding either end of the rope and then, if she's not more than 30 feet away, I assume she's more than 30 feet away, I assume. She's more than 30 feet away. I can get closer. I'm going to. I can do some stuff I could do eye for clues. I'm going to do eye for clues and see that there is a fissure, that if I jump on the other side of it, any magma that's spilling towards me will fall into the fissure and I'll be safe.
Speaker 1:That's really smart, you know, cool I. I'm 14. All right, nice. I'm just waiting for the inevitable failure of our roles. I know Well, being smothered in magma would have been the end of me. That's like the worst thing.
Speaker 2:It's like a crispy rat. You know, Are you able to hop beyond the fissure and the magma oozes into it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, now I got to get over to the door or the crack. Yeah, okay, now I gotta get over to the door or the crack yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you'll both need to sneak Over to it. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1:That's a six. You know what? Let's fail together. Let's fail together. Okay, alright seven. Six and seven. Maybe, we've grown. Twizzles, twizzles, twizzles, twizzles, twizzles.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so what do we think that means?
Speaker 1:I would say I think we get spotted.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Maybe like one that's farther off. So we have a little bit of time. So we've snuck, but we've drawn far off unwanted attention that if we can't do something soon we'll become an issue.
Speaker 2:All right, I'm going to say that you guys squeeze into the crack and one of them does spot you and is like it can't fit through the crack.
Speaker 1:But it blasts after you. He knew it. Man, I gotta fill out this crack, hold on gotta fill out this crack.
Speaker 2:Uh, hold on um roll plus nimbleness roll plus nimbleness.
Speaker 1:Hold on, I think I can do worse.
Speaker 2:That's a two, I'm gonna use a quest point to make it a three. Uh, it doesn't matter yeah, uh.
Speaker 1:Does the three becoming a four matter? No, uh, god. All right, let me see if I can do anything to shield this. Oh, oh, okay, I take it that's either excellent or terrible. Yeah, one magma gout Roll for damage.
Speaker 2:For 3d12. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's not a lot of dread, because the magma kind of gets caught up in all the cracks. Oh the crossfire, oh sorry, and it just kind of drips onto you Ow. So, galen, I think you could block that.
Speaker 1:I block it Because I'm mounted.
Speaker 2:No, you're not no.
Speaker 1:I'm just my armor.
Speaker 2:You have armor, right? Yeah, I have second skin. So yeah, riley, you take one, dread, all right.
Speaker 1:Say Riley, maybe we should camp for the night here. Are you serious? It's warm, it's cozy. I'm falling asleep.
Speaker 2:Well, there seems to be a way forward.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, we press forward, you press on. I know it's camping like on the other side of this crack.
Speaker 2:Yeah, let's make another nimbleness check. Nimbunus, nimbunus.
Speaker 1:There we go, it's 11. Yeah, let's make another nimbleness. Check nimbanus nimbanus there we go. It's 11 was I plus one, minus one, minus one. 11 plus 11 nine. We're in lockstep today with our roles that are good together, bad together, we ride together, we die together because we're family.
Speaker 2:Wow, just like shook me to my core, either good together or bad together, we ride together, we die together, because we're family.
Speaker 1:Wow, you just shook me to my core Like violently assaulting you guys left and right.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry. The Volcanoid ineffectually blasts more magma after you.
Speaker 1:You guys are too far deep into it. If we listen closely enough, though, we hear the Foreman Volcanoid be like hey, like, hey, charlie, why are you blasting magma in that crack over there? Supposed to blast magma over here, come on no, actually you have never heard them speak.
Speaker 2:They're not speaking to each other at all you don't communicate, they're not. It's not possible you guys are kind of in this claustrophobic tunnel, um, I think I need to make a check, make a search, check or, okay, wilderness, maybe to um I would wilderness it up, navigate your way.
Speaker 1:Yeah, baby, that's a 13. Oh, sorry. It's a 12. It's a 12.
Speaker 2:I forgot.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh yeah, I've seen these I was born here. And the heat of the earth is where Thunderblade was forged.
Speaker 2:I try to hold up my axe and I can't because it's really cramped in here you lead the way out of this tight tunnel and, um, you get to a spot where you could, you know, maybe get your bearings there's there's nothing. There's no immediate danger around you, but you're inside the volcano. I see Cool.
Speaker 1:I feel like we've made some progress. Yeah, this is great. The resounding success. Sussis, what else is in this cavern we're in right now?
Speaker 2:The new cavern. Um, there's nothing really remarkable, it's just a bunch of rocks. Okay and um does it kind of seem two ways that you can go, got it. One seems to be you know the direction that you came, not that like, uh, let's say you were heading in North into the volcano. Sure, so you keep going North, or you could head South, which theoretically would be like out of the volcano. You're not sure though.
Speaker 1:There's no, there's no, there's no apparent exit, though and there's no apparent slope to either one of them. Like, uh, one feels like you know, if we had used our inclines and planes recognition ability make a perception check nice, that's what I'm looking at. Uh nine, I get down on the ground like a golfer inspecting the green for its slope um, it's not so much the slope as the heat.
Speaker 2:You feel a greater heat coming from the north.
Speaker 1:I turn to Riley and I say I mean, seems pretty hard over there. Yeah, I'm not so sure that that's where we would find treasure Really.
Speaker 2:I mean maybe Well.
Speaker 1:I don't know, because our contention was that it's just deeper. Yeah, true, Well, first of all, we don't actually know that they actually hit anything here. We could just be wrong, which is hilarious. But yeah, that's true um we sort of assumed that this would be a good place to hide it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we just assumed it's got all these natural defenses okay, well, let's do it.
Speaker 1:Let's go towards the, let's go towards the heat, let's go towards the heat. Yeah, I guess we could always double back, go towards the heat.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay, okay Okay. One of you make a search. Check as you delve. I'm burning all my good rolls, yeah.
Speaker 1:That didn't roll well.
Speaker 2:It's all good, that's a four. Okay, you come face to face with two Volcanoids.
Speaker 1:Hello, you just hear like they're groaning and I try to learn forward towards you, I try to imitate it, to speak like them.
Speaker 2:You guys are in a conflict, dang it. You could try to parlay.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I know I'm going to try something to parlay, I just don't know what's up Making fun of them.
Speaker 2:I don't know if that's.
Speaker 1:No, no, he's trying to communicate. He's trying to communicate, man.
Speaker 2:He's offended.
Speaker 1:I don't like you. Um, I'm gonna like hold up my hands and say can you understand us? Like nod, yes, if you can understand us alright, make a charm. Check at disadvantage if it fails, can I narrate it? I?
Speaker 2:don't know because you go so off off base.
Speaker 1:Sometimes I'll keep it on the rails. I'll keep it on the rails. I'll keep it on the rails.
Speaker 2:That's a tremendous failure. That's a four. I mean you can't propose something. It's a conversation.
Speaker 1:All right. So I propose this, that it's a four. So it's just an utter failure, right? There's like nothing redeeming about it, unfortunately with a plus. How about this? The magma, the vulcanoid, starts to look like he's nodding, but it's actually him winding up to spit magma.
Speaker 2:Maybe that'll afford you guys a moment to run or something no.
Speaker 1:Galen wait, I think he understands yeah.
Speaker 2:Galen tackles Riley out of the way. Yeah.
Speaker 1:I immediately hit the play button on Yakety Slacks and we start we run.
Speaker 2:Alright, alright, all right. So, galen, I think that means you make a nibbleness check as you guys escape. Which way are you going back, recame? Are you like running through them?
Speaker 1:I want to run through. I want to run through, yeah, yeah, through them. Okay, so then let me roll between their legs Like like the hedgehog Amazing. Any chance you can give me a bonus on this one, james? Yes, I can give you advantage. Yeah, I'll use pep talk and be like all right, galen, lead the way. It's this way, I think, I hope. Ooh, critical pep talk.
Speaker 2:I feel, it.
Speaker 1:I feel the thrill of being closer to our quarry. First one would have done it. Whoa, wow, we're both just swell back to back. I love it. Galen finds a shield on the side of whatever and he surfs down the hallway, whoa, like he's Legolas. Yeah, whoa.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and actually what happens? You look behind as you're running away and you see one of them like stick out its hand and like behind you, like the rocks just explode and crumble. Um, what you're? You're out of the way and it just like creates a barrier between you guys amazing.
Speaker 1:That's amazing. It was almost beautiful to witness these, like creatures, uh, flexing their full power to protect their uh games.
Speaker 2:How are we getting? Out of Well looking at the giant rock face that's now trapped us inside this tunnel.
Speaker 1:I feel like we're going to run out of air. Are you feeling like you can't breathe? It is getting hot.
Speaker 2:You're like starting to feel it now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, my armor is heating up significantly In fact, make vitality checks oh no, okay, nice, that's a nine. That's an eight, but I'm going to add a quest point to make it a nine. No, it's fine, you don't need to. Thanks, dog. Basically all those types of answers are six plus.
Speaker 2:Ah, yes, okay, so you, yeah, you're deeper into the volcano, you're trapped, essentially.
Speaker 1:Allegedly they're in here with us.
Speaker 2:You could make another search. Check at minus one.
Speaker 1:Really counting on you. I give her a plus two. Hold on, wait, you know what? I have an idea.
Speaker 2:Can I?
Speaker 1:use a quest point to use I for clues again and spot a single gold coin on the ground.
Speaker 2:Wow, that'd be, I like it. I like it.
Speaker 1:One doubloon, one doubloon, sure it's mine, it's mine. It's like got a black candle on it. That is a successful one. Yes, it's your totes.
Speaker 2:My totes is you know what I'll use? A quest that is a successful one?
Speaker 1:Yes, it's your totes, my totes is you know what? I'll use a quest point to make it nine Costa, puntas, costa, puntas, costa puntas.
Speaker 2:Alright. You'll have advantage on a search check.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:But it's still minus one. Let's see.
Speaker 1:I keep forgetting. My search is plus two and not three, so that's eight seven.
Speaker 2:It's plus two minus one, so eight.
Speaker 1:I could use a quest point.
Speaker 2:Another quest point would nine. George, it's not your last one.
Speaker 1:I have no quest points left, yeah yeah, I think yeah I say go for it, for it live dangerously I've used all my quest points in the first, like 35 minutes that's. I feel like that's a good thing. I mean like at least we're using them all perilous, like we got to get it and get out, leaving nothing on the table. Yes, somewhere off in the distance we hear an explosion as the it's a felmog galleon, yeah, like they've made it to the entrance and they're just shelling it from the sea.
Speaker 2:Um so you make your way following this trail of gold coins. Um, amazing, Such a good use of that ability and you and you see like a spot where it's clear that there's like loose rocks and stuff.
Speaker 1:All right, I'm going to follow the gold coins and picking each one up and pocketing it like ooh piece of candy, Ooh piece of candy. And then start to dislodge some of the rocks, like the smaller ones.
Speaker 2:Over here.
Speaker 1:Galen.
Speaker 2:Alright, yeah, let me come help? So you pull everything apart and there are three heavy chests that were buried. What, oh snap? Each one is its own type of horde.
Speaker 1:I honestly can't believe we've made it to already. Well, it's a trick we got to get out of here.
Speaker 2:I mean it's between the two of you. It's impossible to take all of this.
Speaker 1:So, galen, I think we gotta see if there's an IVEC, no matter what, we've gotta take that, yeah, we should search. I mean, can we just search through everything for the IVEC? Sure, just like tossing aside priceless heirlooms I don't know, I feel like I feel like that's a little bit.
Speaker 1:The ivex shouldn't necessarily be lumped in with the hordes. Like I understand what we can take, but like to find it, I don't know that we should like we're sacrificing anything, right like it's, just we're to search through everything for the IVEC. We could go through the hordes and take what we can. Or, ben, are you trying to create some tension by saying there's a limited time?
Speaker 2:We'll make a search, check, see what happens. One of you.
Speaker 1:Your search is just better than mine, 12 yeah, yeah, it is yes, all right you.
Speaker 2:You find an eye of ek gleaming. It's this blue stone gem. It looks like a serpent's eye. It looks like it's staring at you, like peering into your soul.
Speaker 1:I immediately like serpent's eye it looks like it's staring at you, like peering into your soul, like pippin, when you're like looking into the power tier.
Speaker 2:It's like yeah, it's definitely unsettling galen.
Speaker 1:uh, can I like pocket it or like show? First I'm gonna show it to galen in like a moment of like wonderment that we've actually acquired one of these things after four seasons of adventures. I love it. Then I'm going to wrap it in some cloth or something and pocket it and make sure that it's safe. You have minus one metal. Oh, jeez, wow. Do you want me to hold it instead? What is your baseline metal? I'm plus one metal.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay, so we're both the same, it's not?
Speaker 1:the worst.
Speaker 2:We're similarly metallic, putting it in your pocket just makes you feel uneasy at all times.
Speaker 1:Constant dread. I'm like Tina in Bob's Burgers. Okay, all right, do you want to go through this treasure and see if there's anything helpful to us? Seeing as I have almost no more powers and no response, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay, parent, that Basically you've got a mythic horde, an ancient horde and an old horde.
Speaker 1:I'm going to give you a pep talk on the role for the mythic Amazing.
Speaker 2:Do you?
Speaker 1:still have Mad Marians. No, we've used it, I still have an inventory.
Speaker 2:You still have an inventory? Yeah, but I thought've used it.
Speaker 1:I still have an inventory, you still have an inventory.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I thought we used it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I just didn't realize it.
Speaker 2:We can still have it, it's just worthless now.
Speaker 1:We'll put it on a wall of our quarters. Yeah, I have it crossed out. It says zero of three uses. Okay, we've finished it, finished it All right, amazing, all right, amazing. All right, so you will have Just the two of us.
Speaker 2:You'll have a plus two to roll.
Speaker 1:Okay, I'm sorry, I'll have to remind you what I do roll it's like at my level, no no, it's, it's based on not you, unless you have a treasure hunting bonus.
Speaker 2:I don't know so it's based on like your treasure, the level of the treasure and whatnot.
Speaker 1:So you just roll a d12 and you're adding a plus two to it and I'm to pep talk you just cause I feel like it'll be served well this way. Yeah, I want to pep.
Speaker 2:Or did you already pep?
Speaker 1:No, I'm going to, yeah, I'm going to, pep talk this role for for the treasure. I'm going to say hey, wait, Galen, like you got this buddy, you can do this Like you can search.
Speaker 2:really well, you really well. You do have five chances on this Between the two of you. You're rolling five times equally.
Speaker 1:Oh, interesting.
Speaker 2:One is two, the other is three.
Speaker 1:Maybe I won't pep talk then. I'm going to save the pep talk right before I die. Yeah, that's fine, I'll roll a d12 plus two. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, yes, yes, yes, was that a relic? What is that?
Speaker 2:Two relics or two magic items, three relics? Well, it's a relic, because you can only max two relics from this horde.
Speaker 1:Two magic items may sound amazing, but you gotta get the relic, I agree.
Speaker 2:So I gotta James you wanna roll?
Speaker 1:Yes, I will roll. Is it plus anything? I don't think I am. It's plus two, that 12. Yeah, yeah, baby that's 12, so we get a relic one relic.
Speaker 2:You can find no more relics we found two relics george oh, I am now we got here alive, we gotta get out of here alive. We've got to use them to get out of here alive, yeah.
Speaker 1:And then, ben, do we roll another. You have three more rolls. You have three more rolls, okay, so I'm going to roll one more. It's still D12 plus two. Wait for another relic. Nah, it's a nine.
Speaker 2:Okay, so that's a magic item.
Speaker 1:And it'son item. Oh my gosh, when we come out to face Threx? If we have to face Threx, then we're going to be all kidding out with the best stuff. He's just going to one-shot us. It doesn't matter, jimmy Roll.
Speaker 2:That's five plus two, that is a magic item. Nice, that's a six, it's also a magic item. So that's three magic items, two relics and a magnificent item dang old partridge in a pear tree.
Speaker 1:Baby, this was good stuff. You guys are too much good stuff, you know you hear echoes through the caverns.
Speaker 2:You're not sure where from yeah but you hear like the din of battle, swords clashing and smashing and like explosions.
Speaker 1:Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it totally, totally makes sense. It's like montage us, like equipping ourselves with everything we've got. Like clink.
Speaker 2:My question is do you want to keep searching through these hordes?
Speaker 1:I don't I think we cut and run. No, I think we keep searching.
Speaker 2:Let me ask you How's your inventory.
Speaker 1:Terrible. My inventory is not too bad. Now that we have no rations and everything like that or no rations don't weigh anything. Um, I was at 34 to 35 and I've lost a couple of things that would have put me over, so I probably have three inventory.
Speaker 2:All right, I'm going to say that you're definitely going to be overburdened, so, like all your movement checks are going to be with disadvantage yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 1:I think I've got like, unless you drop things so like combat. Yeah.
Speaker 2:One, two three I'm.
Speaker 1:I've got a pretty empty inventory man I can carry oh okay. Well, I've got the wagon that's got all the materials in it. Oh, so yeah, you're not carrying them, I'm only carrying a couple of things. I've got all the materials in it. Oh, so yeah, you're not carrying them on, I'm only carrying a couple of things. I've got the Nimbus Hammer. I gave the Halberd to Elmo. I've got the map. I've got the Great Helm and I've got Amarillo's Legends of the Sea. I'm going to say I left the Sour Keister Clam and the components?
Speaker 2:Yeah, Roll 2D40. 3d200. Oh, what's each roll of D40?.
Speaker 1:How do you do it? Roll Slash, roll space D40.
Speaker 2:Nine Galen, you find a tapestry that depicts it looks like some sort of history. You see knights, a procession of knights on this tapestry as well as griffins. They're walking through beautiful golden gates of a city with all this griffin iconography. Wow, Riley, you find this ancient book that says predatory horticulture and other dangerous plants. That's amazing.
Speaker 1:So, um, can I quickly uh make a? You know, I'm going to use a phylo sim to just tell me what this tapestry is and what it does okay, I mean for this moment, if you guys want to roll everything and like, have phylo just oh like you know, kono, I've got a good idea.
Speaker 2:I rolled the two of the 3d100 have Philo, just. Oh, like I've got a good idea of what the book does.
Speaker 1:I rolled two of the three D100 for the magic items 21, 24. The D200. Oh Okay, thank you, I appreciate you. 12, 174, 195. All right, bellow 174, 195.
Speaker 2:All right, bellows of Separation.
Speaker 1:Okay, interesting.
Speaker 2:Once per session.
Speaker 1:A gust from these bellows unbinds two objects that are connected Interesting.
Speaker 2:Amazing.
Speaker 1:The Kobold Warlock Mandible shank whiff I'm sorry, kobold warlock.
Speaker 2:Mandible needed a way to separate the subjects of this.
Speaker 1:Experiment's gone wrong oh, oh, that's what it's. Oh my gosh, that's awesome. I love it. I love it. That's really funny. That's one that was like written and like forgotten about. Yeah, there's like you guys have created so much content for this that you simply cannot remember it all, and that makes me happy. I have that. I have that problem already yeah.
Speaker 2:You found another wandering garden. What, what a flower pot with legs capable of growing one herb at a time place an herb in the garden and three sessions later, another herb of the same type will grow. I don't know that. You ever knew that. No, we didn't.
Speaker 1:How long does it take to duplicate a full zone of Imbach?
Speaker 2:That's what we got growing right now.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying he's going to have two ways to replicate. Now we're just going to bring it back to the ship and he's going to be like I am.
Speaker 2:I am Legion, I am.
Speaker 1:Legion. I am Legion. Okay, last, there's a million of them. Last item Ratwalkers that's the best name.
Speaker 2:The way these furry boots can walk narrow paths and tight ropes with ease.
Speaker 1:Ooh, that's cool. Those are perfect for Riley. He was always being nimble, um, all right, so uh, still we have. I guess. What is it? The one magnificent?
Speaker 2:Yes, roll a D 300. Two 47.
Speaker 1:one.
Speaker 2:Magnificatum. Yes, roll a D300.
Speaker 1:247. 247.
Speaker 2:Slingshot. Okay, d12? Ranged is a d8. Thank you, seven star fell roll two more times roll the finest slingshot in all the land. One and an eight um, it's trusty, can't be fumbled. That's, and it's quick. Plus two to initiative.
Speaker 1:That's amazing. I hand it to Riley because she loves ranged items. It'll be good if I curriculum us with a Nimbus Hammer because I have no other weapon. Yeah, that's really fun. Wait, don't you no longer have the magnificent longbow I?
Speaker 2:like traded it or something I like.
Speaker 1:I remember getting rid of it, but I don't know, elmo, yeah, when you became captain at it. He's the captain now.
Speaker 2:I've truly found a magnificent pile of items here.
Speaker 1:Where are we, by the way? Mount Terror? Actually, we're in the heart of the volcano. Yeah, oh.
Speaker 2:Why, while we?
Speaker 1:were looking for this. I show him the eye of Ek.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he tries to grab it, but his hand, ek, yeah, oh.
Speaker 1:Yeah. He's immediately consumed by its power. I need it.
Speaker 2:Now, this is a real treasure.
Speaker 1:Yeah well, nobody's getting it. We gotta make sure that the Sarpathy don't get it either.
Speaker 2:There's no way to dispose of them. They can't be destroyed.
Speaker 1:Even if we throw it into the volcano.
Speaker 2:It will never be destroyed, but then they will.
Speaker 1:No, no, but then they may not be able to retrieve it.
Speaker 2:That's possible.
Speaker 1:Interesting, interesting, georgie. It's either that or feed it to some sort of leviathan and see right or we um, or we uh, just keep it forever and take it on the run with us and spend the rest of our lives bring it to the crack and spend the next 40 years turning into a fortress.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, spend the next 200 years making sure the crack becomes the next barrow door. Yeah, god, uh man, actually I'm going to.
Speaker 2:I'm going to throw you a couple options here.
Speaker 1:Okay, cool.
Speaker 2:You can keep hunting through these hordes, but then risk just being found.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Or risk being penalized as you try to get away.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:Or you could gamble and see if you're quick enough to get away Right, or you could gamble and see if you're quick enough to get through everything.
Speaker 1:We should go. I guess we got a mythic horde. The stakes are so high. This is contrary to every desire in my body, but we should go Ben real quick. The tapestry depicting history. We never found out what that was.
Speaker 2:Oh sorry.
Speaker 1:Same with the book.
Speaker 2:So that is a tapestry of the Gryphon heart. You gain both of you if it's like in one of your possessions. Everyone in the party gets plus one xp after each session. Whoa, that's amazing that's amazing. Yeah, that's a heck of a relic it depicts a long, intricate history of epily and it's knights. It's awesome. So there's a procession of different knights from different time periods. All that's really, really cool through into the city that is super cool.
Speaker 2:What a find predatory horticulture and other dangerous plants is a um. It's like a magical book. Um once perception you can summon a bog snap to assist you in combat. That's amazing.
Speaker 1:That's amazing and it will be summoned.
Speaker 2:Coincidentally, I use the bog snap image for the uh.
Speaker 1:I was just thinking that actually I was like what are the chances? Predatory hold a quarter culture. Make sure you put a bog snap seeds. Thinking that actually I was like what are the chances? Predatory horticulture make sure you put the bog snap seeds into the uh, into the flower pots. Yeah, we're just going to create an army of bugs and that's perfect. Zone zone is going to be angry because we're going to.
Speaker 2:Yeah, actually that might be a good booby trap to leave behind here um, so yeah, the book is mostly pictures with simple descriptions, but then there's this one page, um, and the book is green with yellow ink, and that's an image of this box.
Speaker 1:Now and I assume I could use it to like learn about other, like just dangerous plant life in the land of him yeah that's awesome. So I have an idea to get out of here, but I have to ask is the Epley sandbox ready? What an idea. That is dude. That would be the best way to end this campaign. It would be really good like that's such a good idea. I'd be like guys, that's it we're calling it back.
Speaker 1:We're going through. We'll see on the other side. That's such a good idea. The option is there. It's up to you guys. I was thinking that we could go fix the flying machine and fly the Iavec out of the Mucklins.
Speaker 2:I kind of like this idea. So do I. It's such a cool idea. I kind of like this idea.
Speaker 1:So do I. It's such a cool idea. Yeah, I think that it's an unexpected, unexpected change to our plans. Not that we really script any of this or anything, you know there's. There's still outline, but not a true plan. But I mean putting, putting the tapestry of the griffin heart into the Curio of Infinite Doors to take us to its point of origin, which I imagine is the city of Eppley. That's amazing, boy. It took Rick and his tits a long time and we're going to roll right in.
Speaker 2:He hasn't even made it yet. He hasn't even made it yet he hasn't even made it. We gotta go find him.
Speaker 1:We know the way then we bring ruin to Eppley as the Sarpathies threat like sweeps across. I mean, so that's one option, or we could put something else in there to get out of here. But the curio of infinite doors is our way out for sure. Look, I'm on board?
Speaker 2:I don't think we could. Infinite Doors is our way out for sure. Look, I'm on board. I don't think we could jump into an Eppley sandbox, but either just moving to another campaign or picking that up, I legitimately think it's such a good idea to end this campaign.
Speaker 1:It's like we through with the eye of back and like they can't get it. It's like brilliant. It's just like it's like a sudden end to this campaign. And then you know, george and I come back with some new characters and we start something fresh, but like yeah it's such a unique opportunity.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's what.
Speaker 1:I love about the random relics we've gotten right. It's just that all these things have aligned to make something like this happen. I mean, I was going to be able to tightrope across the rope Would have been amazing.
Speaker 2:Now I'm having thoughts because I don't want you to regret it once you go through, but you're going to leave behind your animals. They're sure to be eaten on T-Rex Well here.
Speaker 1:Maybe this is a last resort, then Maybe if we're going to, they can't get the Iavec obviously, so there has to be some sacrifice um the eat noggin the eat noggin forgot. Welder is with you oh, he's with us, he's with us.
Speaker 2:He was with you he would have gone.
Speaker 1:I was gonna say, let's say that he was like alright, dudes have fun with the volcano.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it have gone. I was going to say let's say that he was like alright, dudes, have fun with the volcano.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's all you, I'm not dying. Then we never come out again.
Speaker 2:Right, he's like oh man, I made a good decision.
Speaker 1:He squeezes on his Felmog armor and he rejoins the Felmog Legion. He's like hey guys, where have you been? I got insulted by how shabby he looks. Yeah, so another place we could go is back to the Scrockwing Scrocknest Mountain, but I still like the. Well, I have a now wet map of the mountain with markings of Scrockwing Nest, alistair, jadly's stuff. So I mean it's just the point of origin of this item would be whoever created the map. I guess it would be Wally's.
Speaker 2:I met him at Wally's.
Speaker 1:Or we could just put the Wally's treasure map in there. We come back to Wally there. I don't know. Those are all options, but but maybe do. Do. We want to try to find a way out of here first, before we pull that? Rip Well if we do pull the rip cord, we can go look at the rest of the treasure, cause I can carry more. It's true, I can't believe I'd be giving up FB. She's with Weldar.
Speaker 2:That's true, she is with Weldar.
Speaker 1:She's with Weldar and there is a ship so they could escape.
Speaker 2:He dual classes into Night Errand yeah.
Speaker 1:Does he not have his own faithful steed?
Speaker 2:I mean, he's kind of forsaken the life.
Speaker 1:Somewhere he's got a Zozo bird just hanging out.
Speaker 2:Hit a horse.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Zozo boring Well.
Speaker 1:Zozo birds to be ridiculous.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Felmog Zozo bird is unheard of.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so there's that Weldar would have FB and you'll be forever linked.
Speaker 1:I'm more okay with that Knowing that someone would at least feed FB noodles on the reg.
Speaker 2:Hey.
Speaker 1:FB. Stop eating those greens man Eat some nudes, so what are we thinking here?
Speaker 2:What do you say, George?
Speaker 1:I'm good with either. Yeah, I'm okay with ending it on this. Let's do it, let's go.
Speaker 2:It's like a really ridiculously wonderful concept.
Speaker 1:I know Riley and Galen escaping with the eye of Ek. I think that we should narrate a little bit of it at least.
Speaker 2:Yeah, sure.
Speaker 1:The walls start coming down. Maybe battle is clanging all around us. The walls are coming down. Lava is beginning to seep through the cracks of the mountain.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so yeah, sorry Are you? Are you going to? We're going to go through hordes, then we're going gonna go through.
Speaker 1:Oh, yeah, we could look through the other hordes. Yeah, we can look through the other hordes. What's the point? It's like if we find more relics, I mean. You know what. We could just take the stuff. I'll grab everything. I'll carry everything that I possibly can. I think I can probably carry like six or eight more items. Okay, that way Ulfrex gets nothing of value because he's got money. That's true. I take some ancient. Did we find any ancient coins? Sorry, from the first one.
Speaker 2:From the first one.
Speaker 1:yes, Well, at least we'll have some money on the other side. Yeah, that's like we're always out of money, but we have tons of items. I can't buy pancakes, but I can split the sky with this Lance of the Thunder. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh Lord, as you guys are just hatching this plan, looking through the hordes, a whole horde of Sarpathy bursts through with Ulfric's close behind. A whole horde of Sarpathy bursts through with Ulfric's close behind and they shriek. And one of the hero fans he's holding some, he's holding another eye and he says yeah, it's in here, we gotta go.
Speaker 1:I just I eat it and then I jump through my.
Speaker 2:uh, yeah, I, we gotta go.
Speaker 1:I just eat it and then I jump through my yeah, I've set up the curio. My pocket is vibrating violently. Yeah, I've already set up the curio. I open the doors, I look back at them and I shove the tapestry in and I say you'll never have the eye. And then I throw Riley in after it You'll never have the eye and I throw riley in after it.
Speaker 2:You see all frex and he doesn't lunge after you. He just walks like darth vader, like that's awesome. Um, but the, the sarpathia are like diving after you and like you can feel the whiffs of their air as you guys just uh dive into this interdimensional portal uh it's just such a cool thing on the other side.
Speaker 2:You. You crawl out of the curio and you are in. You seem to be underground. There are cracks of small cracks of light coming down from above you, but it's mostly dark in here and it looks like you're inside ruins from another time.
Speaker 1:I say, hey, riley, you dead man. Wow. I say, hey, riley, you dead man. Wow. Riley rolls her eyes like, and stands up and like shakes the dust out of her hair. I mean, are you okay? Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. Where are we? I can't see like ancient. Yeah, I'm okay when are we?
Speaker 2:I can't tell. You see like ancient, half-broken pillars that are just kind of holding up the ceiling from falling on you and you can make out vaguely like shapes of griffins on them.
Speaker 1:So, riley, it's just like the tapestry. I think we're in the ruins of Eppley. That's pretty amazing, should we? I'm going to see if there's any caves or ways to get up to the surface. We walk through this the ruins. There's, like it's vast and huge underground rocks, boulders buildings and you make your way.
Speaker 2:you climb on top of like huge fallen stones, like maybe the quarter of a building or something. There's roots maybe falling down from the ceiling that you can climb up and get out of an opening in the ground. I use the rat walkers to do it with ease Amazing.
Speaker 1:I'll help Galen up. Yeah, I send the rope up with Riley and then I'll make some climb checks or athletics checks.
Speaker 2:I think we'll just more narrate it. You get up there, you climb to a rocky hill and then, like way out in the distance, you see the ocean, the waves crashing on the shore you smell the salty air and then to the north, there's this like beautiful mountain, it's like a very idyllic area but there's, is there no one around?
Speaker 1:I'm gonna use absolutely no one I was gonna use eyes for clues oh, yeah, go for it I'm gonna use eye for clues to like just scan the horizon, see if it's like, and then I spot like there's somebody like tumbling around the road. Oh Lord, no, no, I'm not going there. But okay. And uh, it's, uh, it's, clearly, it's like it's a bog roll junk mugger who's clearly just like crambling down the road, and I'll be like hey, hello, scrambling down the road and I'll be like hey, hello, Do you know?
Speaker 2:where we get something to eat. What Something to eat?
Speaker 1:Yeah, I got some eggs. Well, we'll trade you for them.
Speaker 2:You scramble down to meet the bug girl. You see it says, well, I'll trade you. Scramble down to meet the bug girl.
Speaker 1:He says, hey, I'll trade you, Look at all that stuff you got, what do we got? Give him some regular items. As I go through my pockets I'm going to accidentally spill the eye of Ek. I'll take that. Nope, not, nope, not for sale, not for sale. This thing's dangerous.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, it's cursed. He like looks through his goggles.
Speaker 1:It's cursed. His eyes are like really, how did you know that? Yeah, I smelled it. It's like I'm going to use my cooking seal to fry up some eggs so that Galen and I are eating eggs for the bog roll junkmonger like on a cliff, overlooking the ocean.
Speaker 2:Where are you two headed? You know not many people out this ways.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we don't really know where we're headed. Where should we be headed?
Speaker 2:Well me, I'm headed to the Veil Inc.
Speaker 1:The Veil Inc.
Speaker 2:You say I've never even heard of it. I've got mountains of gold, and silver, searful Sorry.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay, okay.
Speaker 2:Silver, what is it? Well what do you say? I turn to.
Speaker 1:Riley and I say well, I guess we should head out then on a new adventure. I feel like we've left all of our families behind and everything. I hope they're okay. We'll get back there one day. In fact, I think we should slowly make our way back after we deal with this IVEC.
Speaker 2:It's a shame about Harp's Edge.
Speaker 1:Harp's Edge. End, the end. Oh, that was the most opportune random campaign ending, ending, that's ever happened yeah it's. It was just too good to pass up. I was just yeah when you said it was a tapestry from Eppley. Even when you began to describe it, I was like I know where this is from.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:Like like jamming it in, there was just Hmm, chef's kiss.
Speaker 2:You know I thought about uh rickety stitch being down there, but that's just too much. Yeah, I know, I thought that's who James was going to say was on the road, yeah, I wasn't going to go there. Yeah.
Speaker 1:There's too much, there's too much. Uh, there's too much, there's too much. We haven't even gotten there yet. Yeah, we haven't.
Speaker 2:It's so funny. Well, we just ended a campaign, guys. We just ended a campaign.
Speaker 1:How many episodes was this thing We've?
Speaker 2:been playing over a year. Yeah, this is the 63rd episode 63 episodes Magic number 63.
Speaker 1:The Adventures of Riley and Galen. It ended as it began, with us running for our lives.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean who knows, maybe we can pick up these characters at some other point, maybe we include them in another campaign.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, oh yeah, but I mean they're forever immortalized. They didn't die. You know what I mean. Like they made it, yeah, but I mean they're forever immortalized, they didn't die. You know what I mean?
Speaker 2:like they, they made it yeah yeah, um, we have some talking to do about what we're gonna do next yeah, I know, I know we've been sort of talking about starting new campaign. What that would be, but yeah not expecting it to be anytime soon. Yeah, this was totally impromptu.
Speaker 1:We did not expect to be ending the campaign today, but um I it's a great spot to do it and uh, yeah, that was you know, I think I feel real satisfied with it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, me too, and I think, like for the new campaign, we will not be playing the pre-generated characters, we'll be creating characters and we'll maybe we'll do a stream of us creating characters and walking through. We won't just start immediately I probably need some ramp up but then we'll stream drawing all the characters for us, yes, so that we have our little little guys. Yeah, and then the gifted Sean Kiernan will do another little vignette.
Speaker 2:I would do a terrible drawing of someone.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but yeah, we'll, we'll. We'll do a terrible drawing of someone. Yeah, but yeah, we'll, we'll. We'll do a stream of creating new characters so that you can follow along If you want to create your character. In fact, you can download the beta rules for free and land of aimcom, you can get a drive through RPG and we've got a lot of big announcements about the game coming in the next couple of weeks. And and if you're interested about this epilite place and and uh, where all of this came to, came to be, check out the rickety stitch and gelatinous goo graphic novel series which you can see on land of beam land of beamcom.
Speaker 1:you can ask for it anywhere in north america, israel and russia and um you can get it on Amazon, of course.
Speaker 2:Of course. So I mean, let me just ask do we want to make characters next week? What?
Speaker 1:is the timeline.
Speaker 2:I don't want to just stop streaming, just because I feel like there's not a great reason.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I have got an idea for next week. Why don't we get together and just talk about the campaign, like, just do like a hangout. Talk about the campaign, talk about, maybe, what we want to do next, and then we can go through the the crappy journal I have.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just like little highlights.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like dude, like a highlights reel where we'll just talk about the whole campaign. That will be, you know, filled with spoilers.
Speaker 1:So if you, want to watch the watch the show. Go for it beforehand. But yeah, and we can just like talk it through and then do a session where we create characters and talk about what we want to do next. I mean, we've been playing off of the Mucklin sandbox, which will be a substantially large campaign setting sandbox that you'll be able to large campaign setting sandbox that you'll be able to back in the Kickstarter. Ben is using that to GM. I haven't been doing any modules or anything like that. It's all just the sandbox setting and you know it's a very powerful tool if you're a GM. Powerful tool, a powerful tool, powerful.
Speaker 2:Hero GM. Yeah, powerful tool, a powerful tool, powerful hero gm. Yeah, and you know, we played 63 times and we've only scratched, scratched.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there's the sandbox. Yeah, because I mean, like we've been to cities and we've not followed heart, we followed hardly any of the plot threads, like we could have done a whole year and dunk or something. You know.
Speaker 2:Like we really, we really could I mean bogtown was huge and yeah bogtown we just kind of in river country.
Speaker 1:We were in for like a minute yeah.
Speaker 2:Now, what's interesting is that it would be really cool to have the next campaign kind of like have all the ramifications, so like there were things that you encountered but then didn't deal with and like, yeah, does that mean? So? Like, for instance, dunk, there was an election going on but uh, yeah, there was who won that election. You had no say in it and uh, yeah, probably not gonna be good you know what I mean let's see.
Speaker 1:Let's see, yeah, the recap session next week where we just go through, uh, george's journal it's gonna be good old, good old, and it's gonna gram hamba, yeah, yeah, it'll fuel our creativity for, for yeah you know, campaign two yeah, that'll be good to go through to do that exact thing for me and be like all right, you, you guys did encounter that, so what's happened now? Right, you nuked this thing from orbit. What's happened now? This is a ride. You know it was. I can't believe it. Super fun.
Speaker 2:So I super fun. So I Ulfrex the Cruel had 72, courage the Risen had 62 and Bagra the Blanched had 54. There were 7 Sarpathy warriors with them and 7. Basically I cut the number in half because I rolled a horde of Sarpathy. There were seven Serpathy warriors with them and seven. Basically I cut the number in half because I rolled a horde of Serpathy. It was 18 of them.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, even one of these guys would have been almost impossible to deal with there's no way we could have.
Speaker 2:Well, I thought you had that und undead that.
Speaker 1:yeah, I, I was debating would we have been able to mind control olfric or something?
Speaker 2:the risen the risen, there is not mind control, but maybe like the weekend release him from oh they're thrall servitude yeah, okay, I would have.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, we definitely would have tried that um because you were talking about that before right, yeah, that was, that was on my list of of in case of emergency although it seems like you might have forgotten it no, no, no, it's in my inventory the.
Speaker 2:I like the idea to do it.
Speaker 1:Oh no, it was, if we were besot, beset, besut, besut.
Speaker 2:It's not besut, besut, beset.
Speaker 1:It's besut.
Speaker 2:I do know it.
Speaker 1:Besut Wild stuff guys, yeah, but shoot Wild stuff, guys, hursuit. Well, I'm going to be thinking about campaigns. Yeah, this is a lot of stuff to think about.
Speaker 2:Well, my request as a GM and also game designing, play testing, is that we do a bard and a rascal. Yeah, because they're the least Playtested seed Playtested.
Speaker 1:I've only seen a rascal one or two times. Other people streaming the game. Play a rascal.
Speaker 2:Like in our own groups, I think bard is the least played, for some reason.
Speaker 1:Doesn't Darren always want to play Bard though?
Speaker 2:Not.
Speaker 1:No, he played a Dungeoneer.
Speaker 2:He played a Dungeoneer. Yeah, really. Yeah, that's going to be interesting.
Speaker 1:I'm happy to do either. I was leaning towards Rascal because I want to do some trickery and yeah, I'll. Bard it up.
Speaker 2:Bardic, georgie boy, I'm going to have to.
Speaker 1:Seems like a great combo. Yeah, just hijinks, all the hijinks, until we get into combat, and then we're just not very tanky. Not very tanky yeah. Maybe we'll find another Hobrick of Mirth. I'm just saying.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:That thing saved our lives, the best magic item in the entire campaign was found so early yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, you guys. I think for Land of Eam, having Galen allowed you to get into more nasty combat than I think might be with the next campaign.
Speaker 1:I love the idea of doing a hijinks campaign where we got to talk away on everything yeah. Well, I think that like we underestimate Riley's stout heart ability because she would just soak hits and then soak one hit, go unconscious pop back up come at me. I love it, but land of meme landing meme is built for being able to talk your way out of things and use creative stuff.
Speaker 1:So I think it'll be great, yeah, yeah, it'll really tax me as a person, uh, I mean in a good way in terms of creativity. Um, because my instinct is to just fight. Always Fighting is fun it's just a small party. Yeah.
Speaker 2:You don't have to choose your battles.
Speaker 1:Choose your bietels, yeah, bietels. I like the idea that we might be a little more roguish and willing to be underhanded. Not that we necessarily were against that with Galen and Riley, but maybe we'll have more tools to be underhanded. Not that we necessarily were against that with Galen and Riley, but maybe we'll have more tools to be such people. Yeah, I always kind of went there with but, I wouldn't have if it wasn't for the helm of trickery Right right.
Speaker 2:The.
Speaker 1:Dragoon's great helm, which gave me plus one trickery that changed my gameplay. Yeah, you started leaning harder into it. Yeah, yes, well, it's good. Um, same bad time, same bad channel. We'll come back next week. We'll have some.
Speaker 2:We'll have some discussions, we'll have some reminiscing indeed, and we'll, we'll, uh, yeah, figure out the next campaign.
Speaker 1:It'll be the ultimate campfire. You know it would be a really interesting conceit is that it is the bog real junkmonger and the two of us sitting there eating you know, red eggs or whatever it is, and, uh, recounting our our story to him. Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, Maybe We'll see.
Speaker 2:Do we have a little?
Speaker 1:Zona inbox with us. Yeah, yeah, zona follows us. Of course, zona's with us.
Speaker 2:Just chronicling your tale.
Speaker 1:He's our chronicler Zona's actually really frustrated now because he doesn't know how he's going to get the articles back to headquarters to get them printed.
Speaker 2:And it's going to cut off.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I love it the.
Speaker 2:Zona Inbach Gazette. Wow, gazette Makes that funny.
Speaker 1:The new home of Riley and Galen. It's like a zine, yeah a zine. We just become like old school journalists. Little press passes on our hats, yeah.
Speaker 2:Alright, dudes, next week we'll dive into that. And yeah, yeah, join uh next week, we'll dive into that. And uh, yeah, yeah, join us next week this was fun, it was really good.
Speaker 1:All right team. All right, see you later till next time.
Speaker 2:Everybody bye-bye.
