Why The Show Is Evolving
Erin GrayWelcome back to Your Money, Your Rules podcast with me, your host, Erin Gray. Today I want to share with you where the podcast is going, my decision behind it, and then what that means for each of you. So let's dive in. When I started the podcast back in early of 2023, I think it was March or April of 2023. It was originally called Generate a Life Well Lived, which is actually what I, my company is called, because I truly believe that we all have everything inside of us to generate a life well lived. And on the podcast, it was about business. I talked about business and a money mindset and sharing my story and my voice authentically, because I felt like maybe in the podcasting world, there isn't maybe not as a vocal about your journey with money. And I really wanted to be able to speak my truth and share what I wanted to share. And then as I, you know, got more clarity, like everything in life, right? Then I changed the podcast name in March of 2025 to Your Money, Your Rules to talk more specifically about having a healthier relationship with money, healing money trauma, you know, our emotional regulation and what needs to occur in our nervous system, following our intuition, understanding your human design, and really just having a healthier, more calm and confident relationship with money. And I've been primarily helping, I've always attracted high net worth women who have had more what I call a poverty conscious or a scarcity mindset when it comes to money. Like these are women that are very wealthy on paper, but they wouldn't ever consider themselves to be that way. And so really have been helping them have a different relationship with money, a more prosperous and abundant relationship with money. Now, many of these clients also have their own businesses. So we've also been doing, you know, business coaching along with the whole money mindset. And I've coached, you know, these women and clients through their business and their money mindset and emotions and like the whole gamut of everything. Like I always feel like I like to say that I use money as the portal to get into, you know, what's really going on with you. But some people they might coach on health. It's it's all the same, right? Like at the end of the day, we're all wanting to elevate consciousness. We're wanting to feel more calm and confident and be in a more creative state versus a survival state. And so I have been helping women, you know, do this. And so when I think about like, okay, where is this podcast going? It's it's not really gonna change much because everything that I've already been talking about, I am going to continue to talk about with the money mindset, but I am going to focus more so on seven-figure business owners, female founders with their money mindset leadership skills. So I'll be talking more about leading your team and just obviously leading yourself, trusting yourself, which I already do talk about, you know, trusting yourself and your intuition. And that more feminine, I know we need both feminine and masculine energy, but really what I've noticed with the clients is we aren't in the feminine energy as much as what we probably could be. And more of that advisory position that I hold with the women that I currently help. You know, as I have mentioned on the podcast before, this is exactly what I did with a little bit of tweaks, right? Like it was a very male-dominated, you know, in the construction business. This is what I did for my dad and my uncle, more so primarily for my dad. I was definitely his advisor. And, you know, I wish I had an err in my corner. I wish I had someone like me that I could talk to, that I could be supported with, that I could, you know, have someone looking at like that 30,000-foot view. And even though I did that for my dad, a lot of the times of my learning through bookkeeping and taxes and, you know, attorneys and insurance, all of that was done on my own. And then I would pay our advisors, you know, I would ask the questions and I would pay them for their time to teach me or answer the questions that I didn't know. So I really wish that I did have an Aaron in my corner. And what I'm recognizing is that this is definitely something that women are asking for. And it is not as, I don't know if readily available is the word, but anyone that I do talk to about what I do, they say, oh my gosh, Aaron, this is so needed and I don't know anyone like it. And so I know that this is definitely something that women and men, of course, you know, can can use because they are asking for it and it's not really out there. And so, like I said, I wish I would have had someone like me in my corner when I was running the business. And I just love, absolutely love supporting women in this way, you know, being on their side and their team to help them make intuitive decisions and to trust themselves and to understand all of the parts of running a business. And what I have realized is that these women truly want an advocate and a partner and a holistic advisor of sorts, if you want to call it that, that can look at the whole picture, that can look at that 30,000-foot view and see where they are and where they are going and anticipate what they need. Because one of the things that I always get is like, Aaron, I don't know what I don't know. And I'm like, I know. I know there's a lot of I knows in that whole sentence, but like, yeah, I know it, right? Like a lot of times how we learn things is by trial and error. We just do it as business owners and we either pay with time or money or both. Like we learn the lessons that way. And also having someone like me in your corner that knows the things to ask. I was just on a call with a bookkeeper and a client, you know, and she told me, you know, like you've you're asking all the questions I didn't know to ask. And I'm like, yes, of course, because this is what I've done for 20 plus years, right? So I wouldn't expect someone that hasn't done that, that that is learning to know all that. And I think that it is that that is what women are asking for is to have someone, you know, to anticipate, to be in their corner and support them and understand what I call, you know, that 3D of money, like your taxes, to be the liaison between your CPA and your bookkeeper and your financial planner and your attorneys and your insurance agent, you know, and helping you and understanding yourself better so that you can trust yourself, that you can run your team, that you can support your employees or your contractors, um, as well as supporting, you know, your nervous system, all the emotional regulation stuff, understanding your human design. I've even, you know, started breaking out and thinking about okay, how do I help them help their team understand their human design? Because how you mentor and coach one employee with their human design is going to be vastly different than someone else, right? Like how I would coach a manifestor would be completely different than how I would coach a projector if they were an employee of mine. And so understanding all of that so that you can truly trust yourself and you can trust your intuition and you can trust your knowing above anyone else, any advisor. And so what I've recognized is at this level, women don't ask like, how do I budget? They ask like, how do I make more aligned financial decisions? How do I lead myself? How do I trust myself at this level? How do I lead my team? You know, they're not asking like, how do I talk to a CPA? They're saying, can you be or translate for me, right? What my CPA, my bookkeeper, my financial planner, my attorney, my insurance agent are actually saying. And a lot of times I am on the calls with these clients, with their insurance agent or their bookkeeper because, like I said, I feel like I am like the liaison. Like I dance in those two worlds. I dance in the understanding, the 3D and the language of this, of this stuff. Let's just use insurance, right? Like, how many times have I renewed a general liability policy or, you know, inland marine or all of the terms, right? Of insurance so that I can then support the client at the highest level that she may not be knowing what to ask her her agent. And so helping, you know, them make these decisions to trust themselves, not me giving them the answers, but really helping them come back home to themselves, trusting themselves and their intuition so that they feel good, they feel grounded and they know where they are going. So, what can you expect moving forward? This podcast, like me, like everything, it's ever evolving. And to what I think about is I'm still gonna be talking about all the topics that I already have because no matter where you are in your business, these topics apply, right? So if you are new here and you are just getting started in business, these are things that I'll be talking about. It's things that you need to learn and take note of because it's going to be, you know, you're gonna hit it at some point. So, but I will be more focused on specifically topics of running a seven-figure business and then what you address at that level. But the topics that I've been talking about, they're gonna stay the same. They're just gonna be more focused maybe on leadership and deeper on intuition and trusting yourself and leading your team and diving into, you know, the more specifics of that. But this is an invitation, I think, for you to ascend, for all of us to ascend. You know, if you're a seg seven-figure entrepreneur or you're on your way there, then this is gonna feel like home. I'm gonna be speaking the language that you're used to hearing or that you're craving to hear, right? It's probably gonna feel like a space that you've been craving to be in or to be to feel seen and to feel heard. You know, that's what I hear from clients. Like, I'm so glad that I found you or that like you exist because we have this business idea in the world of like business coaching or business consulting, and then you have all your advisors, but like nobody's taking it all. Uh I'm like thinking in my mind, it's like a melting pot, right? Like I am like your melting pot and I look at everything and we have everything together and then making it so clear for you. So, and to be honest, you know, this is they they say that this is like support that I haven't had anywhere else. And yeah, it's kind of one of those things of like, I think you have to go through something to recognize what you need and then what might be missing in the marketplace. And I will say that, you know, running a family business for 10 years and figuring out all the ins and the outs and the do's and the don'ts and recognizing what I think women are craving in the marketplace of having someone in their corner that looks at everything that isn't just an advisor, but looks at the whole of you and the whole of your business and looks at every area and makes, you know, it's not just business, right? It's your personal, it's your emotional, like it's all of it that we look at and we that we support. So I feel super excited because, you know, it's bringing together all of my 20 years of experience in financial planning, CFP, CFO, running a business, understanding money psychology and all of the emotional sides of money, which is a big part, right? Of running a business. You know, my passion for intuitive leadership. I think that I was in my emotional release therapy session the other day, and she said, you know, Aaron, what's coming up is that you have been taught that business is intellectual, but you actually run business both ways, intellectual and emotional. And your body is sometimes it like it it senses that, right? It feels the conflict. And I was like, Yeah, you know, like I running my family's construction business, it was very much so intellectual. I had a lot of intuitiveness, I had a lot of knowing. And I think my dad and my uncle would always ask me, like, well, where is this coming from? Give us the data. And I couldn't provide it, but my intuition was on point. And so my passion, my desire for women to follow their intuition and to trust themselves, like that is the fastest way to get to where you're going. Not that we're in a rush, but like when you have and honed in your intuition, oh man, it makes running a business so much easier. And then obviously, you know, my gift for translating very complex financial, the financial world, right? And into distilling it down into making it so simple and easy and clear and so that you can make grounded decisions. So I'm here for the whole of you, you know, your business, your leadership, your emotional world, your intuition, your legacy. And this is just the next chapter. So I'm so excited that you're here with me for it. I want to say thank you to all of you for listening, for being on this journey with me. It's been an amazing, what are we at? Now we're going into three years of podcasting. I can't wait to see what is going to come down the pipe and what, you know, what's on its way. And I'm just so grateful for each of you that listen, all of the countries that you listen, all of the cities that you listen in. I'm just so grateful for each of you. And I love sharing my knowledge, sharing my experience with you. I feel like podcasting is such an intimate, you know, like you're in someone's ear. They're cooking dinner, or they're running, or they're at the gym, or they're, you know, just drop their kids off from school. Like it's such an intimate way that you get to know and learn about someone. And I just want to say thank you so much. And I'm so grateful that you have allowed me to be in your ear. So I appreciate you. And as always, I love you and I'm rooting for you. And I will see you in the next episode.
